BARI – Rei Manaj spoke to Inter Channel after playing and scoring in the San Nicola Trophy this evening.

He began: "It was a brilliant experience. There was less pressure than there is in league games and we got to play two good matches."

On Mancini and his team-mates: "Mancini is not just a great coach but he’s a great person as well and he gives me a lot of help.

"My team-mates are fantastic players. I rate them all so much."

Is tonight’s goal a message for Albania head coach Gianni De Biasi? "No, a goal is just a goal, there’s no message."

Is there Scudetto talk in the dressing room? "We say that we want to try and win every single game. We’re just taking one step at a time and trying to do as well as we possibly can."

Finally, he commented on next Monday’s visit to Napoli: "We’ll try to our best there too. Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina and Juventus are all excellent teams."

BARI – Roberto Mancini feels this evening’s San Nicola Trophy in Bari offered his squad a good runout.

"It was a useful exercise especially for people like Guarin who have played less. Palacio got minutes under his belt too and that’s good," the coach began.

"We tried to play our game but in an event like this the main thing is clocking up the minutes."

When it was put to him that his friend Sinisa Mihaljovic had got one over him with tonight’s derby victory, the Nerazzurri boss replied: "We’ll see who wins when we play them again in the league."
