Inter CEO Beppe Marotta On New Clubhouse: “Will Boost Our Players Performances To Highest Level”

Inter officially inaugurated their new clubhouse at the Suning Training Centre earlier today, with executives Beppe Marotta and Alessandro Antonello discussing the work in a statement released by the club on their official website.

The report details how the new clubhouse is the first step over a total modernisation project for the training centre, as owners Suning are looking to invest in both the squad and the infrastructure in order to strengthen the squad and make them as competitive as possible.

Alessandro Antonello, Inter’s corporate CEO, discussed the work and how it shows how passionate the Suning group are about Inter.

“The inauguration of the new clubhouse represents a new and important step in the process of renewing our infrastructure. After the opening of the new HQ, we are thrilled to present Inter’s second innovative, functional and environmentally friendly building to you today. This has been made possible by the efforts of the Suning Group, which continues to invest passionately in the club.”

Beppe Marotta, who is Inter’s sporting CEO, also touched on how important the modernisation work is and how it’s key for the Nerazzurri’s growth.

“The Suning Training Centre is the heartbeat of the club’s sporting endeavours and the modernisation project is of fundamental importance for boosting our players’ performances to the highest level.

“Working in an environment where there is a strong sense of belonging and also a future vision built on success can only further enhance our bid to achieve the targets that a club like Inter deserve.”

The building was designed by Milano based architecture company COIMA Image, using a prefabricated wooden construction system. The building was designed to be as sustainable and aesthetically pleasing as possible, with all rooms have large windows with views of the pitches.

Cagliari Coach Walter Zenga: “Difficult If We Lose Inter’s Radja Nainggolan, He’s Fundamental To Us”

Cagliari coach Walter Zenga suggested that Inter owned midfielder Radja Nainggolan is indispensable to the squad when speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference yesterday with his statements reported by Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com.

“It would be difficult to lose him as I consider him a fundamental player to this team.”

Inter are still unsure what to do with Nainggolan, as the player’s value and high wages mean it is unlikely that Cagliari will be able to permanently sign the player this summer.

However, the Nerazzurri may decide to sell him elsewhere, give the Rossoblu a discount or integrate him back into the squad. Coach Antonio Conte never had a problem with the former Roma midfielder and could work with him.

The 32-year-old Belgian, who joined Inter two years ago from Roma, has impressed this season whilst on loan with the Rossoblu. Nainggolan has made 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2249 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided seven assists.

Italian Media Highlight 3 Objectives Inter Coach Antonio Conte Has For Remainder Of Season

Inter coach Antonio Conte has three objectives for the remainder of the season, according to a report from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today.

The report details how Conte’s first objective is to find the unity and camaraderie with the squad present before the Christmas break, when the team were top of the league and flying high. The coach wants the squad to forget the last few weeks and start a new, excited about the project and upcoming games, the report states.

The Nerazzurri coach’s second goal would be to finish the season in second place in the Serie A, the report continues. Finishing second shows Juventus and other Italian teams that the Nerazzurri are serious contenders and will be a big boost for both pride and confidence. A second place finish would also see Inter earn around €10 million more than if they finished fourth.

Finally, Conte’s last objective would be a strong finish in the Europa League, the report highlights. Even if the Nerazzurri don’t win the competition, a semi-final or final appearance would help show the club mean business both internationally and nationally.

Inter Linked Atalanta Wing-Back Robin Gosens: “Difficult To Say What Will Happen In The Future”

Inter target Robin Gosens discussed his future, his interest in German side Schalke and how he feels at Atalanta in an interview with German broadcaster Sport1 earlier today.

“What do I see in my future? It is incredibly difficult to answer this question. Covid-19 has caused uncertainty in all the clubs.

“I’m not worried, of course I’ve heard some rumors about myself, but to be associated with so many top international clubs right now seems crazy. And it still creates some disbelief that you have the quality to play in these clubs.”

The 26-year-old German left wing back, who is contracted to Atalanta until 2022, then highlighted how he is fond of Schalke and their sporting project.

“If I decide to change teams, the important thing for me is to find a sporting project that suits me. I’ve always said that Schalke is my favourite club. The people in charge there talked about rebuilding and it would be nice to be part of it in some way. Schalke has had difficult years, but it is still one of the big clubs with a big fan base.”

The Atalanta midfielder did admit that a move to the Bundesliga side is unlikely for the moment.

“But at the moment it seems to be difficult to envision a transfer, considering their financial situation, and I don’t know if it would make sense in a sporting sense. I have to be honest.”

Finally, Gosens discussed how he felt at Atalanta and what may happen in the future.

“At Atalanta I’m happy, but I’ve never hidden the fact that I’d like to go and play in Germany. I don’t know when that might happen.”

The 26-year-old German has been a core part of coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad this season, making 36 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2792 minutes.

In that time, he has scored 10 goals and provided six assists. Inter are interested in signing Gosens as they are looking to strengthen the left wing back position, a role without a strong starter considering the age of Ashley Young and the poor physical condition of Kwadwo Asamoah.
