Inter Spark An Interest In Former Bayern Munich & Juventus Striker Mario Mandzukic

Inter could try and sign former Bayern Munich and Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic on a free transfer according to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to the report, the Croatian striker is a serious candidate for that back-up striker role to Romelu Lukaku that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is looking to fill, to make coach Antonio Conte happy.

Mario Mandzukic recently terminated his contract with Qatar Stars League side Al-Duhail via mutual consent and would therefore be able to join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer, the report continues.

The fact that he would be able to join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer is a big part why Inter are seriously considering to signing him, the report concludes.

Mandzukic would be no stranger to the Serie A having spent 4.5 seasons with Juventus whom he joined in the summer of 2015 for a reported fee of €19 million.

During his almost 5 seasons in Turin he featured 162 times across all competitions for the club scoring 44 goals in the process.

Cagliari Coach Walter Zenga On Inter Owned Nainggolan: “He’s A Top Player”

Cagliari manager Walter Zenga has sang the praises of on loan midfielder Radja Nainggolan after his performance in this past weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Atalanta.

Nainggolan returned to the Sardinia based club on a season long loan from Inter this past Summer and the loan has been extended until the end of the 2019/20 Serie A season.

Since returning to Cagliari, where he had previously spent a number of seasons, the former Belgian national team player has managed to get his career back on track after a difficult first year at Inter, at the end of which he was judged to be out of the club’s project alongside Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi.

“He is a top player, he is now well and already before Sunday’s match he knew that he would have only played 50 or 60 minutes, but he made himself available as always,” Zenga remarked as part of his press conference ahead of the Rossoblu’s match with Fiorentina tomorrow night.

This season Nainggolan, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.

A Transfer Market Milan Derby Looms As AC Milan Trying To Hijack Brescia’s Sandro Tonali From Inter

AC Milan are trying to hijack Brescia’s Italian international midfielder Sandro Tonali from Inter Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported on air moments ago.

According to the report, incoming coach and Sporting Director Ralf Rangnick has identified Tonali as his top target this summer, and the player would not say no to a move to the Rossoneri.

Inter have an agreement with the player, the report continues, and talks between Tonali and Juventus are in stand-by at the minute.

The Nerazzurri are yet to find an agreement with Brescia owner Massimo Cellino over Tonali and Di Marzio reports that Inter are not closing the deal, which has afforded Milan this window of opportunity.

Di Marzio reports that Milan have a budget of €75 million this summer to sign new players and given that Cellino is asking for €50 million cash, should the Rossoneri pay that, it does not allow for much room to spend on other players.

So the Milan are studying what a deal could cost and how long it would take to conclude the deal.

Noted Italian Journalist Paolo Condo: “Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez Will Stay At Inter”

Italian football journalist Paolo Condo has raised concerns regarding Inter and how they are impacted when both Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen are on the pitch together.

“There is a certain laziness on the part of the former Tottenham player and the Croatian midfielder in seeking each other out on the pitch because the former is always shielded by a scorer. The team is paying for this,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, whilst present in their studios earlier on today.

Condo proceeded to share his views on what should happen with central midfielder Radja Nainggolan upon his return from his loan with fellow Serie A side Cagliari.

“Nainggolan should be kept regardless of any transfer negotiations. He is a player who made mistakes in Milan but can be a starter.”

Next he spoke on Eriksen again and discussed the idea of him possibly being sold just months after arriving at the club in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

“It would be a defeat for the club if he left, so the Dane will be given another year.”

In conclusion, he spoke on the possible departure of striker Lautaro Martinez, who continues to draw links over a possible move to Spanish giants Barcelona, and Inter being linked to Barcelona and France national team star Antoine Griezmann in the media as of late.

“If Inter sell him, they must sign a striker of the same age and level. Griezmann? He is out of reach for anyone, except perhaps for City and PSG. Inter would be happy with an exchange, but it is unthinkable to pay his salary. For me, that is why Lautaro will remain in Milan.”

Torino Remain Interested In Inter’s Roberto Gagliardini Despite Poor Form

Torino remain interested in signing Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini despite his recent poor form according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Granata club have been interested in signing the Italian for some time and the report claims that it will all depend on what Inter decide to do with the former Atalanta player.

Should Inter decide to try and offload Gagliardini at the end of the season, Torino technical director Davide Vagnati will almost certainly make an attempt to try and bring Gagliardini to Turin.

Reports elsewhere in the media have linked Inter with a move for Torino’s Armando Izzo and several reports have suggested that the two clubs could do a swap deal.

This season Gagliardini, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 21 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided two assists for his teammates.

Belgian Media Report KAA Gent Slap €30-35M Price Tag On Inter Linked Jonathan David

KAA Gent are looking to get in the region of €30-35 million for star man Jonathan David according to a report from the online edition of Belgian news outlet Het Laatste Nieuws.

Inter, a host of German, English and other Italian clubs have all shown an interest in signing the American born Canadian national team player and the report claims that Ligue 1 side Lille are also very interested.

As per the report, Lille, who look set to lose Victor Osimhen, are prepared to offer €20 million for David but Gent want more than that for him.

The player would ultimately like to move to the Bundesliga, where Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen are all interested but KAA Gent are more bothered about getting the best possible deal for him.

As things stand Lille are more interested in any of the German sides but seem unwilling to meet KAA Gent’s demands for the highly rated 20-year-old.

French Media Claim Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Remains A Barcelona Target Even After €111M Release Clause Expires

Lautaro Martinez will continue to be a transfer target for Barcelona even after his release clause expires according to a report from French broadcaster RMC Sport, which was aired a short while ago.

The highly rated 22-year-old Inter and Argentine national team striker has a €111 million release clause in his contract which is just hours away from expiring.

From tomorrow Inter will be able to demand what they please for the former Racing Club player but Barcelona remain hopeful of being able to get him at a lesser price.

Lautaro is their priority since signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain is very complicated and Barcelona expect Inter to reduce their demands for Lautaro given the Coronavirus pandemic.

The report goes on to add that an agreement could be reached by the end of the Italian season even if Inter continue to insist that they have no interest in selling their best players, including Lautaro, who has seemingly already agreed personal terms with Barcelona.

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Biasin: “From Tomorrow Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Must Cost €112M”

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has taken to social media platform Twitter to comment on Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s comments regarding Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

Barcelona have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old striker for some amount of time now but have been reluctant to pay his €111 million release clause, which is set to expire in a matter of hours.

The Blaugrana club have reportedly wanted to do a player plus cash deal for the former Racing Club player instead but the offers they have reportedly made have fell short of Inter’s demands for Lautaro, who still has three years left to run on his contract with Inter.

Biasin has pointed out that once the release clause expires Inter will be able to demand more if they like for the Argentine national team player, who has scored 17 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions to date this season.

Biasin posted: “Bartomeu: “Today the Lautaro clause expires? Barça has no deadline for purchases”. OK perfect. The clauses, however, are an opportunity for those who buy, Lautaro Martinez costs 111 million today but, from tomorrow he must cost 112.”
