Italian Journalist Ravezzani Hits Out At “Crybabies Moaning That Criticism Of Inter Coach Conte Is Unfair”

Italian broadcaster Telelombardia director Fabio Ravezzani has taken to social media platform to hit out at those claiming there is a conspiracy against Inter manager Antonio Conte in the media following this past weekend’s result.

Inter crashed out of the Coppa Italia this past weekend at the semi final stage to eventual winners Napoli and former Italian national team manager Conte has been criticised for this.

Inter took an early lead through Christian Eriksen, who scored directly from a corner kick, and despite no shortage of chances to extend the league and put the game out of sight, Inter failed to do so before Napoli pulled things level just before the half time whistle went.

In the second half the Nerazzurri were unable to score another goal and this led to them being eliminated due to a 2-1 aggregate scoreline.

“For the cry babies that moaned about Conte being massacred by the media and conspiracy theories: have a look at what is being said about Sarri. The truth is, when you are at a big club, this is how things are. Always,” Ravezzani tweeted out earlier on today.

Conte took charge of Inter this past Summer and has won 22 of his 38 matches in charge to date.

Maurizio Mariani Assigned To Officiate Inter’s Serie A Clash Against Sampdoria This Sunday

The match official assignments for the coming weekend’s Serie A action have been announced and Maurizio Mariani has been assigned to referee the match between Inter and Sampdoria.

The 38-year-old has refereed 19 matches across all competitions to date this term and Sunday’s match will see him referee a match involving Inter for the third time this term whilst it will be his first time refereeing a match involving Sampdoria.

During the matches he has refereed to date, he has dished out a total of 95 yellow cards and also 12 red cards.

Valerio Colarossi and Damiano Di Iorio will be Mariani’s assistants at San Siro whilst Luca Pairetto will be the fourth official for the match.

Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni has been assigned to take charge of VAR and he will have Fabiano Preti alongside to assist him.

Inter head into the game in third place whilst Sampdoria find themselves in 17th place and just a single point outside of the relegation zone.

Christian Eriksen Certain To & Alexis Sanchez Could Start For Inter In Serie A Clash Against Sampdoria

Christian Eriksen will be handed a second consecutive start in this weekend’s Serie A match at home to Sampdoria according to a report from the online edition of Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Danish national team player impressed in this past weekend’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg draw away to Napoli and there are two reasons why he is set to start again on Sunday night at San Siro when the 2019/20 Serie A campaign gets back underway.

The first reason that the former Tottenham Hotspur player will start is to do with tactics. The inclusion of Eriksen in between the midfield and attacking lines as an attacking midfielder gives Conte more goal scoring options at a time where Inter have struggled to score.

The second reason is his ability at dead ball situations. There was a clear leap in quality when it came to corners and free kicks in the match against Napoli with him even scoring directly from a corner.

Another report from Gazzetta claims that Alexis Sanchez is going neck to neck with Lautaro Martinez over a place in the starting lineup against Sampdoria.

The Chilean wants to stay at Inter beyond this season and is not wanted by Manchester United either so he wants to prove himself to the Nerazzurri directors to convince them of signing him, the report concludes.

Italian Media Report Diego Godin Set To Leave Inter Who Want To Replace Him With Marash Kumbulla

Diego Godin seems set to leave Inter for pastures new in the coming months according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA reported via FcInter1908.

The Uruguayan national team defender has not performed to expectations following his arrival on a free transfer this past Summer following the expiration of his deal with Atletico Madrid.

Inter have identified Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla as a transfer target and it would appear as if the highly rated Albanian national team defender will fill the space in the squad that Godin will vacate when he departs.

The report from the news agency goes on to explain that Inter are continuing to work on signing Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali and club management are also thinking about what to do with Radja Nainggolan when he returns from his loan from Cagliari.

Inter may well use the former Roma midfielder as part of a deal for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, who they have had an interest in signing for a very long time.

The report concludes that Inter manager Antonio Conte’s idea of having Arturo Vidal brought to the club has never went down with the club management.

Gianluca Di Marzio: “Negotiations Completely Blocked Between Inter & Barcelona Over Lautaro Martinez”

Inter have remained firm with their stance on striker Lautaro Martinez amid continued interest from Barcelona according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia aired a short while ago.

The Blaugrana club have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team forward for some time now but have thus far been unable to convince Inter to drop their demands for the player, who is widely regarded as one of the potentially best strikers in the world in the coming years.

“Inter have been very good at maintaining their stiff position, because even recently there have been important offers from Barcelona but Inter have always remained in their position,” transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio explained whilst present in the Sky Sport Italia studios this evening.

“To date Barça have failed to meet the demand of the Nerazzurri. The situation is totally blocked. Barcelona have not paid the €111 million clause or offered €90-95 million plus one player.

“Inevitably, the boy can be affected by these rumours but this does not mean that Lautaro has no respect for those who brought him to Europe. It is clear that the temptation of a move to Barcelona could have an affect but for now he will have to put his mind at rest and play.”

Lautaro joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Superliga Argentina side Racing Club back in the Summer of 2018 and has a contract with the club through to the end of the 2022/23 season.

This term Lautaro has made a total of 32 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which is just over 2500 minutes, he has notched 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Gianluca Di Marzio: “Inter Could Try To Extend Loan Of Man Utd’s Alexis Sanchez Over Next Season”

Manchester United owned Alexis Sanchez could stay at Inter beyond next season, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia aired moments ago.

The Chilean national team attacker joined Inter on a season long loan from Premier League club Manchester United this past Summer and the Nerazzurri club are set to try and find an agreement with the Red Devils over either a loan extension or even permanent transfer.

“Inter have an idea of keeping him. They will try to renew the loan over next season or to find another agreement with United,” transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio remarked in the Sky Sport Italia studios this evening.

“The player does not seem to have returned to the level he was at at Udinese and Arsenal and I think the Nerazzurri will take some time to think about whether or not the Chilean will remain at the club in the future.”

The former Barcelona and Arsenal player has not entirely lived up to expectations whilst at Inter due largely in part to the fact he has spent so long sidelined due to injury.

He is however back fully fit now and reports in the media have suggested he could soon be in the starting line-up if Lautaro Martinez’s recent poor form continues amid continued links to Spanish giants Barcelona.

Whilst on loan at Inter, Sanchez has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided three assists for his teammates.

Hellas Verona President Setti On Inter Linked Marash Kumbulla: “Never Doubted Him”

Hellas Verona president and owner Maurizio Setti has revealed that clubs came in for top prospect Marash Kumbulla 18 months ago and the club turned them away.

The highly rated Italian born Albanian national team defender has had a breakthrough season at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi club and has found himself linked with a whole array of clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Inter, Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina and Juventus have all been linked with the 20-year-old, who has two years left to run on his current contract with the Gialloblu club.

“We have never had any doubt about the human and technical capacity of Kumbulla. In January 2019 there were already several clubs after him, but we were convinced that he could grow further,” Setti explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition of the Milan based news outlet.

This season Kumbulla, who is a product of Hellas Verona’s academy, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just shy of 1600 minutes, Kumbulla has scored a single goal.

Spanish Media Report Inter & Barcelona “In A Poker Game” Over Lautaro Martinez

Negotiations between Inter and Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez are continuing despite the two clubs being adamant to not changing their current stances according to a report from Spanish football journalist Francesc Aguilar, who works for Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona do not want to pay any more than €65 million plus two players for the 22-year-old Argentine national team striker whilst Inter want between €80-90 million plus a single player if a player plus cash deal is to be done.

The reigning Spanish champions have already got an agreement over personal terms with the player but Aguilar goes on to explain that this has not stopped Inter from demanding that his €111 million release clause is paid, concluding that negotiations are ongoing with both clubs “in a poker game” to call each others bluff.

Until the release clause expires, there will be no room for negotiation on the price they want for Lautaro, who joined back in 2018 from Racing Club.

This season Lautaro has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
