Alexis Sanchez €12M Wages A Stumbling Block In Talks Over Loan Extension Between Inter & Man Utd

Inter are in talks with Manchester United over extending Alexis Sanchez’s loan deal according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal attacker joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer and having missed out on Dries Mertens, Inter are pursuing a possible loan extension until the end of next season.

The report from the Turin based news outlet does however warn that the Chilean national team player’s annual salary of €12 million is a hindrance to negotiations.

Inter are not even paying as much as half of his wages at the moment and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United would be happy for this to continue or if they would demand Inter to pay more of his wages if the loan is to be extended.

Whilst on loan at Inter, Sanchez has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal and provided a total of three assists for his teammates.

Italian Media: Inter Directors Want Marash Kumbulla But Antonio Conte Prefers Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen

Inter management and Inter manager Antonio Conte have differing views when it comes to reinforcing the defence according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter management would like to bring in Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla whilst Conte wants the vastly more experienced Jan Vertonghen brought in.

Hellas Verona want a deal worth €35 million for Kumbulla consisting of €28 million upfront and €7 million in add-ons but Inter could well offer Eddie Salcedo and or Federico Dimarco as part of a deal for the 20-year-old.

Vertonghen on the other hand will be available to be signed on a free transfer with his contract at Tottenham Hotspur set to expire at the end of this month.

The report explains that centre back is not the only position where the club management and Conte have differing views either.

Inter management want Sandro Tonali for the midfield whilst Conte wants Arturo Vidal and Inter management want Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to replace Lautaro Martinez should he depart but Conte wants Andrea Belotti.

French Media Claim Napoli Contact Inter Linked PSG Striker Edinson Cavani’s Agents

Napoli have been in touch with Edinson Cavani’s representatives over a possible return to the club according to a report from French news outlet Le10Sport.com.

Cavani’s contract with current employers Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire in the coming weeks and it has been confirmed by sporting director Leonardo that he will be leaving the club after seven years of service.

Inter and Atletico Madrid have both shown a keen interest in adding the Uruguayan national team striker to their ranks on a free transfer and now Napoli appear to be in the race for him too.

The report explains that Napoli would have the financial might to offer their former striker a nice contract to return to the club, where he is greatly adored by the fans.

This season the 33-year-old has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, Cavani has scored seven goals and has provided a total of three assists for his teammates.

Inter In Talks With Man Utd Over Extending Loan Of Alexis Sanchez Until End Of Season

Inter hope to be able to extend the loan of Alexis Sanchez by another season according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired late last night.

The Chilean national team player joined the Nerazzurri club on a season long loan this past Summer from Manchester United and the two clubs are currently in talks over extending the loan deal until the end of this season.

The report goes on to explain that Inter are exploring the possibility of taking him on loan next season too but there are obvious financial obstacles to this, namely his bumper €12 million a year wages.

Despite the above obstacle, the report concludes that a loan extension cannot be considered impossible.

Whilst on loan at Inter, the former Barcelona and Arsenal attacker has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, he has scored one goal and has provided three assists for his teammates.

Inter Looking To Repeat The ‘Barella Formula’ When Signing Brescia’s Sandro Tonali

Inter could do a deal similar to the one they signed Nicolo Barella with for Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter are currently leading the race to sign the highly rated 20-year-old midfielder from Brescia and already have an agreement in principle with the Italian national team player with regard to personal terms.

Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino wants a sum of €50 million for Tonali, who is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there at the moment.

Inter could carry out a deal similar to the one they brought Barella to the club with with the report claiming Inter could take Tonali on loan – perhaps for two years – with an obligation to buy plus various add-ons.

This season Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal and provided five assists for his teammates.

Inter Considering Replacing Lautaro Martinez With Either Torino’s Belotti Or Arsenal’s Aubameyang

Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are both being considered by Inter as potential replacements for Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Lautaro has continually found himself linked with a potential transfer to Barcelona and Inter have made it clear to the Blaugrana that if they want him prior to July 7, they must pay his €111 million release clause.

If Barcelona do not activate his release clause, the report explains that the two clubs could possibly negotiate a deal which would not necessarily total €111 million.

The report goes on to add that Inter management are keen on replacing him with Aubameyang if he departs whilst Inter manager Antonio Conte is said to prefer Belotti.

The fact Aubameyang’s contract expires at the end of next season means Arsenal will not be able to demand too much for him whilst Inter have also enquired about Belotti and could well do a deal for the Italian including a player or players such as Radja Nainggolan, Andrea Pinamonti or Roberto Gagliardini.

Cagliari Coach & Nerazzurri Legend Walter Zenga: “Surprised Radja Nainggolan Didn’t Stay At Inter”

Cagliari manager and legendary Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga has admitted he is surprised by the fact Radja Nainggolan is on loan at Cagliari and not still at Inter.

The former Belgian national team midfielder was judged to be out of Inter’s project this past Summer and was subsequently loaned to the Rossoblu club for this season and his future is up in the air.

“Radja is a superior player. I was rather surprised that he didn’t stay at Inter,” Zenga explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport, which appeared in yesterday’s print edition.

“For me he, and I have said it before and I will say it again, is an Inter player all his life and we know very well that he is only passing through at Cagliari. I will always cheer for him because, he is a really nice person.”

Zenga, who has been in charge at Cagliari since March this year, then progressed to discuss the criticism that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has received following his poor performance against Napoli this past weekend.

“Anyone can play a bad game and this does not change their value or their strength,” he explained.

Zenga, who is widely regarded as one of Inter’s greatest goalkeepers, is a product of Inter’s academy and joined the club at youth level back in 1971. He made his first team debut in 1978 and spent the following 16 years with the club before departing for Sampdoria.

Inter Reach Agreement Over Professional Contracts With Youngsters Pirola & Stankovic

Inter have reached agreements with Lorenzo Pirola and Filip Stankovic over first professional contracts with the club according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired yesterday afternoon.

Both players turned 18-years-old back in February of this year which means they are eligible to sign professional terms with the club and both are set to sign long term contracts.

Central defender Pirola, who is regarded as one of the club’s best prospects at the moment, has agreed to a five year professional deal with the club whilst Stankovic, who is the son of Inter legend Dejan Stankovic, has agreed to a four year deal.

Neither player has made their first team debuts for Inter as of yet but both have featured on the bench for the first team throughout the campaign and also regularly train alongside the first team squad under the watchful eye of Inter manager Antonio Conte.
