Arrigo Sacchi: “I Think Conte Can bring Inter Back To Fight At The Top Of Serie A”

Legendary Italian football manager Arrigo Sacchi has shared his belief that Inter are not entirely out of the 2019/20 Serie A title race just yet.

The Serie A campaign is set to resume in the coming weeks after what will have been over a three month pause caused by the Coronavirus crisis and Sacchi believes that Inter’s fixture list could help them out in the race to win the Scudetto.

Inter’s Serie A campaign will resume at home to Sampdoria and they also have matches against the likes of lowly Genoa and Brescia as part of their remaining 13 Serie A games, seven of which will be played at home.

“I took a look at the fixture list and it seems to me that Inter’s road is quite easy. I think Conte can bring them back to fight at the top, even if Juve, for the squad available, and Lazio, for the great motivations, will start with an advantage,” he remarked in an interview with Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in yesterday’s print edition.

Sacchi, who perhaps most famously managed AC Milan in the late 1980s and early 1990s, then went on to discuss some factors he think could impact how things play out for the Nerazzurri, who are currently sitting in third place, eight points adrift of second place Lazio and nine adrift of table toppers Juventus.

“The factors that will affect the run-in, will be preparation and fear. To give a concrete example: I expect Sensi from Inter to get in shape faster than Lukaku, who has giant muscles.”

Fabio Radaelli: “Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez’s Talent Has No Limits”

Fabio Radaelli, the scout who discovered Inter striker Lautaro Martinez as a youngster, has discussed his potential move to Barcelona among other topics and started by recalling when he first seen him play.

“Despite only seeing him for a short time, I could see that he knew how to use both feet well. His action on the pitch, based on the experience I have, allowed me to understand that I was in the presence of an important striker,” he began an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews1908.it.

“I would be a liar if I said that I would have expected him to do this well in his career. He has jumped over any obstacles that have been put in front of him and today it seems that his talent has no limits.”

He was then asked to recommend what Lautaro should do amid the ongoing links to Barcelona.

“He must evaluate the situation with his agent. I want him to be where he feels happiest because he is a boy from a good family and very professional. It is a very personal decision.”

Radaelli was then asked if he thinks it would be possible for Lautaro to turn down Barcelona if Lionel Messi called and said he wanted him.

“It really depends on what he wants. It is clear that this interest has been manifested. It is a very personal decision. Whatever I say can be misinterpreted. Whatever he decides is fine.”

Next he was asked whether he thinks if it would be wise for Lautaro to move to Barcelona, where he might not necessarily be guaranteed of a starting berth like he is at Inter.

“I think he has the qualities to be able to play in any club in the world and you improve by playing with the best. If he had the chance to play with the best, in this case Messi, I think he would improve all the qualities he already has.

“Could he be a starter? I think so because if Barcelona is making a big effort to sign him it is because they intend to have him playing. It is difficult for them to sign him but Lautaro has a great chance to demonstrate how good he is as a player.”

He was then asked whether or not he has had any sort of contact with Lautaro as of late.

“I haven’t talked to him recently, I have respected this period of uncertainty. I called him when the pandemic started just to ask him how he was. I leave him alone, I’m just a little anxious to understand how this story will end.”

He was then asked what he thinks Lautaro’s best qualities are as a player.

“His best quality is his ability inside the box, he is an incredible goalscorer. He is opportunistic and has shown how much quality he has. He is always ready to score.

“I believe that as time passes he will further improve all he is good at. When he matures he will find much more peace of mind as experience helps you to solve situations on the pitch better than when you were younger.”

In conclusion, he suggested a player who Inter could move to replace Lautaro with in the event that he is to leave the club.

“In case Lautaro leaves, Rafael Santos Borrè of River Plate is an excellent striker although he does not have the same characteristics as Lautaro. He is someone who plays more in the box.”

Rino Foschi: “Lukaku & Cavani Up Top For Inter Would Be The Strongest Striker Duo In Serie A”

Former Palermo sporting director and president Rino Foschi has shared his belief that Edinson Cavani would be a hit at Inter if he is to join them in the coming months.

Cavani’s contract with current employers Paris Saint-Germain is due to expire at the end of next month and he appears set to depart the French capital city club after seven years of service.

Inter have been heavily linked with making a move for the Uruguayan national team forward on a free transfer and Foschi, who brought Cavani to Palermo from Danubio back in 2007, thinks he could form a good partnership with Romelu Lukaku.

“He would be a hit. I know what kind of player and boy he is. Lukaku and Cavani would be an extraordinary duo. They would integrate very well. They would be the strongest partnership in Italy,” he remarked as part of an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Foschi also shared his opinion on the ongoing speculation regarding Lautaro Martinez’s future.

“Lautaro to Barcelona? It depends on him. Inter would earn some amount of money between his sale and Icardi’s. Inter could take Cavani on a free transfer and could even go for Tonali.”

Ivan Zamorano: “Gigi Simoni Built A Family At Inter, Ronaldo Is The Best Striker Of All Time”

In an interview with Inter’s official You Tube channel, legendary Inter attacker Ivan Zamorano has sang the praises of former Inter manager Luigi ‘Gigi’ Simoni, who recently passed away following a long battle with illness.

“He built a family, that Inter squad in ‘97/98 made a dream come true by winning that incredible UEFA Cup,” the former Chilean international began the interview.

“He wasn’t just a great coach, but also a great man and it wasn’t easy to do that with a team containing so many champions, but we all fought together to achieve our aims.

“We have a wonderful memory of him; he did everything he could to build that family. Personally, Simoni made me play well in the most important matches of that UEFA Cup run and it was so rewarding for me to have a coach like him, because he always encouraged me.”

He then went on to recall the third goal that was scored that night which came with thanks to Ronaldo, who famously rounded Lazio goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani before slotting into an empty net.

“Only Ronaldo could score a goal like that, with that trademark move. He could do so many incredible things, for me he’s the best no.9 the world has seen, and that goal represents everything he’s about, speed and magic.

“Ronaldo was a Phenomenon and I’m a workhorse, so we complemented each other well because in every great team you need a player who has the skills and one who works for the team.”

He then went on to discuss being a player who gave absolutely everything that he had whilst he was on the pitch.

“The fans still remember me as a warrior. Of course I had some ability, especially with my head, but I like to be remembered as someone who always gave his all on the pitch, who fought tirelessly for every ball.”

Zamorano arrived at Inter in the Summer of 1996 from Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid and spent the next five years with the side before departing for Liga MX outfit Club America.

During his stint in the Nerazzurri, Zamorano, who famously wore 1+8 on his shirt, made 150 appearances across all competitions, in which he netted 41 goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
