Emerson Royal will not be a counterpart in any potential deal that Barcelona and Inter reach over Lautaro Martinez according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report explains that Barcelona have zero intention of letting the highly rated Brazilian full back depart the club as they have big plans for him for the future.

Recent reports in the media have suggested that Barcelona could bring Emerson Royal back to the club a year ahead of schedule this Summer but this report states that they will not do this and they will instead honour the agreement that they have with Real Betis, meaning he will stay with them until the end of next season.

This season Emerson Royal, who has a contract with Barcelona until 2024, has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and tallied five assists.

David Alaba is holding out for an improved contract extension offer from Bayern Munich according to a report from the online edition of German news outlet BILD.

The Austrian national team defender’s current deal with the reigning German Bundesliga champions is due to expire at the end of next season and Bayern Munich wish to prolong his stay with the club although Alaba wants more money from the Bavarians.

As per the report, the 27-year-old full back, who is also more than capable of playing at centre back, wants in excess of €15 million a year so he can be one of the highest paid players at the club alongside the likes of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski.

Recent reports in the media have suggested that both Inter and Barcelona have developed an interest in signing the former Austria Vienna academy player. This season he has made 30 appearances, in which he has scored one goal and tallied two assists.

Inter manager Antonio Conte deems midfielder Roberto Gagliardini to be not for sale ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gagliardini’s season has been blighted by injury but when he has played he has been like a lucky charm for the Nerazzurri.

Inter have won nine of the 12 games in which the Italian midfielder has featured in and Inter have never lost a game in which the former Atalanta player has featured for at least 45 minutes.

Moreover, Gagliardini has the second best minutes per goal rating amongst Inter’s midfielders with him averaging a goal every 400 minutes on the park with only Stefano Sensi (292 minutes per goal) having a better average.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In 1018 minutes on the park, he has scored two goals and has two assists.

Inter could bring in both Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

Some reports in the media have suggested that by signing one of them, it would rule Inter out from signing the other but this report insists that this is not the case.

Cavani could be brought in on a free transfer but in order to join Inter, the Uruguayan national team striker will need to take a pay cut from his current annual salary of €10 million plus add-ons.

As for Werner, the report goes on to explain that Inter will offer Valentino Lazaro to the German Bundesliga club in order to bring down the cost of a deal for him.

Werner has a variable release clause in his contract which will be €60 million if RB Leipzig win the Bundesliga but €50 million if they fail to do so.

Barring any unexpected complications, Lautaro Martinez will soon become a Barcelona player according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Marca.

The Inter striker is seemingly one of Barcelona’s top transfer targets ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer and is likely to be one of two players arriving at the club from Serie A, with the Blaugrana also in negotiations to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus.

Barcelona players, including Lionel Messi, as well as club management have all given their blessing for 22-year-old Lautaro to be brought to the club.

An unnamed person inside Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo’s entourage, has revealed that the Brazilian wants to stay at Barcelona and has no intention of leaving this Summer.

The former Gremio player drew strong links to Inter a few weeks back and it was suggested that Barcelona could potentially include him in a deal for Inter’s Lautaro Martinez.

Arthur has also been heavily linked with a potential move to Juventus with talks over a potential swap deal involving him and Miralem Pjanic having taken place lately.

Despite these talks, the person, who is not named in the report, has insisted Arthur is happy in Catalonia and does not want to leave.

“He is happy at Barcelona. Arthur wants to remain at Barcelona 100%, he has no intention of changing clubs,” the person explained in an interview with Spanish sports broadcaster ESPN Deportes, who shared what they had to say on their online edition.

Inter have overcome competition from several top European clubs and are on the verge of completing the signing of Georgios Vagiannidis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The 18-year-old full back is currently on the books of Greek Super League side Panathinaikos and Inter will pay them in the region of €400,000 to sign him.

The Nerazzurri club have fought off competition from Manchester City, AS Monaco, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona and have offered the Greek youth international a five year contract that comes with an annual salary of €500,000 and he will join the Inter first team for pre-season training.

It will then be up to Inter manager Antonio Conte to decide whether or not Vagiannidis remains with the first team for the season or if he should be loaned out to another Italian club to gain experience.

This season Vagiannidis has made 17 appearances across all competitions, all barring one of which have come at youth level. He has scored five goals and tallied one assist in his time on the pitch.

Lionel Messi will not exercise the option he has to free himself from his Barcelona contract this Summer due to the possible arrival of compatriot Lautaro Martinez from Inter according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Messi has a clause which enables him to terminate his contract with the Blaugrana completely free of charge so long as he gives 30 days notice.

When this clause in his contract became apparent, rumours spread in the media about clubs he could potentially move to with Inter among those clubs but Messi instead looks set to continue at the Nou Camp where he could play alongside national team teammate Lautaro, who he holds in high regard.
