Belgium Manager Martinez: “Inter Striker Lukaku Will Make His Mark As A Coach”

Belgian national team manager Roberto Martinez has tipped Inter striker Romelu Lukaku to have a bright future as a coach once his playing career comes to an end.

During the Coronavirus lockdown period, Lukaku has been one of a number of Belgian internationals to take the opportunity to start his coaching career by beginning his coaching badges online and Martinez has admitted he wishes to help Lukaku and others in their journeys to become coaches.

“It is important that they are starting to think as coaches. I can already see it with guys like Jan Vertonghen, Kevin De Bruyne, Axel Witsel, Thomas Meunier, Romelu Lukaku, and the list goes on,” Martinez remarked upon signing a contract extension with Belgium until 2022 as per Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

“I think they will make their mark in Belgian football as coaches, I want to guide them in this evolution.”

Lukaku joined Inter in a club record €65 million transfer deal from Manchester United this past Summer on a five year contract and the former West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea player has been in sensational form in his first season.

In 35 appearances across all competitions to date, Lukaku has netted 23 goals and has also provided a total of five assists for his new teammates.

Argentina Manager Scaloni: “Difficult For Barcelona To Sign Lautaro Martinez From Inter”

Argentina national team manager Lionel Scaloni has shared his belief that Lautaro Martinez would get better if he were to leave Inter and link up with compatriot Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

The highly rated 22-year-old has drawn continuous links to the Blaugrana club for several months now and Scaloni believes that Lautaro is the type of striker that every team would like to have within their ranks.

“If Lautaro will be lucky enough to play with a teammate like Lionel Messi, it is better for us [in the Argentinian national team]. He is very similar to Luis Suarez. I hope he can do well.

“He is the type of player that everyone would like to have on their team,” he admitted during an interview with Spanish state television broadcaster RTVE aired yesterday morning, as cited by Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Scaloni, who has been in charge of the Argentine national team since 2016, then went on to state that he thinks it will be difficult for any club to prize Lautaro away from Inter, who he has a contract with until 2023.

“He is a great striker and must play in a great team but he is already at a great team that competes at high levels and has a powerful president, so it will be very difficult to take him away from there, if he changes teams I still hope he can do well.”

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied a total of four assists.

Benefits Of Youth Sports – 6 Advantages of Playing Football

FC Internazionale Milano was established in 1908 won its first Italian championship already in 1910. Ever since then, the club’s success has only grown. Inter has won 30 titles, 3 Champion League titles, 3 UEFA Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups, and 1 FIFA Club World Cup tournaments.

The success of the Italian club is why they have millions of fans from all over the world. Today, Inter Milan is one of the biggest brands in world football.

Inter Milan Youth Sector

Inter are a world renowned club and have a solid reputation as a championship winning club. However, while many think of football as about a sort of an “adult” sport, the club stresses the importance of youth sport.

The club encourages youth to participate in sports and even runs its own successful youth team. Many of the football superstars came out of the Inter Milan Youth Sector. This team was organized by the professional Italian club to bring together the most talented players under 19 years of age.

The team is quite successful. Since its establishment, Inter Milan’s Youth Sector has become Italian champions 8 times. They also won Coppa Italia Primavera 5 times and became winners of the Torneo di Viareggio (an international youth tournament) 6 times.

Top 6 Pros of Starting Football Career Early

Looking at the stunning success of the Inter Milan youth team, many of you may be wondering if there actually are any significant pros of playing football starting from child and teenagehood. In fact, there are plenty of benefits, and here are just the top 6 of them:

1. Builds Strength

First and foremost, one of the biggest benefits of football for children and teens is that it helps build both muscle and bone strength. Football is one of those sports that engage almost all muscles, including those in your lower and upper body.

Therefore, regular training helps to boost the overall body strength and tonus significantly. At the same time, playing football is an effective way to keep your bones strong,

Why does building strength matter for youth? The answer is simple – increased bone and body strengths help improve a child’s overall aerobic capacity, allowing him to live a healthy and active life.

2. Teaches Being a Team Player

Although any youth sport has certain benefits, specialists say that team sports can provide the most advantages. Being in a team, young people learn to work with others for the sake of a mutual goal. Teamwork is a high-value life skill. Thus, even if a child won’t continue it to professional football, the gained skills will still come in handy in other spheres of his life.

3. Boosts Cognitive Ability

Not many know this, but playing football has a significant impact on one’s cognitive brain function. Since it is a strategic game that requires making fast decisions, football increases persistence, self-discipline, and concentration. Students who participate in sports generally show better performance at school.

How can sports boost academic performance if training takes so much time? That’s true, athletes often get too busy with their sport matters to handle their academic tasks in time. In such situations, it doesn’t hurt to ask professionals “please, type my essay for me” a few times to get quick assistance. But, when athletes are not lacking time, they can actually handle their tasks better than many peers.

4. Boosts Cardiovascular Health

Another significant advantage of playing football is that this game helps improve one’s cardiovascular health. This game is quite dynamic. It consists of lots of walking, running, and jogging, which keeps the heart rate up. Thus, it is a perfect cardiovascular exercise that helps strengthen a heart, reduce blood pressure, and get rid of excess calories.

5. Build Up Confidence

It has long been proven that athletes have higher self-esteem and confidence compared to their peers. This is extremely important, especially for teenagers who are often experiencing drastic mood swings and may suffer from stress. By building up confidence, football helps ease stress and anxiety, boosting youth’s mental health.

6. Ensure a Successful Career

Of course, not every youth player carries on to the big league. However, those who do, often build a pretty successful career. Looking back at the example of the Inter Milan youth team, which has produced many superstars, we can see that making a transition from the youth sector to the “big game” is real.

The Bottom Line

Despite some pretty obvious and undeniable advantages of joining a professional youth football team, the opinions about this matter are rather contradictory. While some people believe in the positive effect of youth sports, others claim that it puts too much stress on players.

Of course, as always, there are two sides to the coin. Whereas sports is generally good for one’s mental and physical help, starting a professional career early can indeed get pretty stressful. But, still, it looks like the benefits can outweigh the cons. Thus, it is fair to conclude that youth football nevertheless does more good than harm.

Fabrizio Biasin On Inter Linked Mertens: “He Made The Decision To Stay At Napoli With His Heart”

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has explained why Dries Mertens has opted to extend his contract with Napoli instead of leaving for pastures new this Summer.

The Belgian national team player looked set to leave Napoli when his contract expired at the end of next month and reports suggested that Inter were on the verge of signing him but the former PSV Eindhoven attacker has made a u-turn.

“He made the choice with his heart which is increasingly rare in the world of football. He waited for a step forward from De Laurentiis and this step has come, adapting his contract,” Biasin explained during an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva show ‘Microfono Aperto’ earlier on today.

Biasin then went on to speak about Inter’s reported interest in signing Atalanta full back Robin Gosens, who has also been linked with Inter’s arch rivals Juventus and French side Lyon.

“Inter already liked him a lot a year ago but the problem is that Atalanta kept him tight. He is a very appetising player to clubs, he doesn’t miss a game.”

Recent reports in the media have suggested that the Bergamo based club want between €25-30 million for the German, who has a contract with them until 2022. This season he has eight goals and five assists in 30 appearances.
