Bayern Munich Tell Ivan Perisic’s Agents They Wont Sign Him Unless Inter Lower €20M Price Tag

Bayern Munich have told Ivan Perisic’s representatives that they will not sign him outright unless Inter give them a discount according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Perisic is currently out on loan at the Bundesliga club from Inter and Bayern Munich have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €20 million.

Bayern Munich however do not want to pay that with Bayern Munich chairman and former Inter striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge only wanting to pay between €10-12 million for the Croatian national team winger.

It now remains to be seen if Inter will agree to give the Bavaria based side a discount for a player they judged to be out of the project this past Summer alongside Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan.

Whilst out on loan at Bayern Munich, Perisic has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided eight assists.

Juventus Captain Chiellini: “I Respect Icardi Highly, Imagine Him, Lautaro Martinez & Lukaku Playing Together At Inter”

As part of his newly released book, Juventus defender and captain Giorgio Chiellini has sang the praises of Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi.

The 27-year-old Argentine is currently out on loan at newly crowned French champions Paris Saint Germain and Chiellini went on to state that Icardi is impressive and that he holds high respect for him.

“Among the great opponents I have faced, I highly respect Icardi, who inside the box is always on target. I would define him as impressive. Mauro often scored against Juventus, this hurt me.”

He then discussed Icardi’s well documented issues which led to him being pushed out of Inter by club management and speculated about a potential strike force Inter could deploy in the future if Paris Saint Germain do not sign Icardi on a permanent basis.

“I’m convinced he’s a good boy. Something must have happened at Inter, I say it as an older brother.

“Maybe he forced his hand a bit too much, but from a sporting point of view, I wonder how a top player like him didn’t remain at the Nerazzurri for 15 years, scoring another 200 goals.

“As a Juventus player though, I would say that it luckily didn’t happen but can you imagine Icardi together with Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez?”

He then went on to admit that moving him on was probably the right decision for the Nerazzurri team to make.

“If two people like Beppe Marotta and Antonio Conte decided to go on without Icardi, they would have had their reasons. It was probably the right decision, but Maurito is a number nine that shifts the balance.”

Icardi joined Inter in the Summer of 2013 from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria and has been absolutely prolific in front of goal whilst he has represented the club with him having scored 124 goals in 219 appearances across all competitions to date.

Ex-Barcelona & Argentina National Team Manager Menotti: “Lautaro Martinez Is An Excellent Player But Barcelona Is Different To Inter”

Former Barcelona and Argentine national team manager Cesar Luis Menotti has sang the praises of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona.

As per various reports doing the rounds in both Italian and Spanish media, Barcelona are very keen on adding the highly rated 22-year-old to their ranks and are looking to do a player(s) plus cash deal for him.

“He was already a top player at Racing Club. Javier Zanetti followed him and brought him to Inter. He has power, character and a lot of personality,” he explained in an interview with Argentine newspaper Diario Popular.

“He also has a good relationship with Lionel Messi in the national team. Lautaro is a serious boy who knows how to move both in and out of the box.

“When he is on the pitch, you can see that he grew up on the streets of Bahia Blanca. He is very determined, courageous, technical and fast. In short, he is an excellent player.”

Menotti then went on to discuss comparisons that have been made between Lautaro and legendary former Argentine international Gabriel ‘Batigol’ Batistuta.

“He is different from Gabriel Batistuta in terms of his characteristics. He can start up top and he can act as a second striker.”

Menotti, who was in charge of Barcelona between 1983 and 1984, then went on to speak about how he thinks Lautaro could get on alongside current Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.

“I think he can be a complement to Luis Suárez, because he plays for the team, he is generous and is not vain. I do not think he would suffer from any major problems adapting to Barcelona like Antoine Griezmann did.”

He concluded by giving a word of warning to Lautaro when it comes to how different things would be for him at Barcelona compared to Inter.

“Barcelona is not Inter. Inter play on the counterattack and there he is lethal. In Barcelona the ideas are different but I have trust in his personality and his qualities, which are not lacking.”

This season Lautaro, who has a contract with Inter until 2023, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.

Ex-Juventus Midfielder Claudio Marchisio: “I Don’t Want To See Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal Play For Inter”

Former Juventus and Italian national team midfielder Claudio Marchisio has admitted he would not like to see former teammate Arturo Vidal join Juventus’ arch rivals Inter.

Reports in both the Italian and Spanish media have heavily linked the Chilean midfielder with a potential Summer transfer window switch to Inter where he could be reunited with former manager Antonio Conte, who he worked alongside at Juventus.

Many reports have stated that Conte really wants to work with the current Barcelona midfielder again, who has little over a year left on his current contract with the Spanish giants.

“I wouldn’t like to see him at Inter. Arturo is a great player and would give a strong character to the Nerazzurri midfield. He’s doing well at Barca and is one of those players who you’d always want by your side, as Conte so often said,” Marchisio remarked in an interview with Italian radio station Radio 24 earlier on today.

Marchisio, who retired last year after a spell with Russian Premier League side Zenit St Petersburg, then went on to speak about Conte and the impact that the former Italian national team manager has made at the Nerazzurri since taking over the reigns from Luciano Spalletti.

“I think Conte has 100 per cent embraced the Inter project. With him, Inter made a very important step forward compared to recent years.”

Video – Inter Recall 4-3 Thriller With Lazio From 2007

Inter have taken to social media platform Twitter to recall the seven goal thriller that they played out with Lazio just over 13 years ago.

Inter fell two goals behind in the first half but pulled one back via Hernan Crespo. The Argentine striker then pulled Inter back level against his former employers. Inter then fell behind again before Crespo tied things up again as he completed his hat trick.

Legendary defender Marco Materazzi scored a later winner for Inter to secure Inter a 4-3 win and most importantly all three points.
