Inter Step Up Efforts In Race To Sign Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri Amidst Interest From Juventus

Inter have accelerated in the race to sign Chelsea full back Emerson, amidst interest from Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are interested in signing the 25-year-old Italian Brazilian, who is contracted to the Blues until 2022. Emerson has fallen out of favour with coach Frank Lampard and hasn’t made a Premier League appearance for Chelsea since January.

Roman Abramovich’s club are looking to sign Leicester’s Ben Chilwell as well, and so it’s clear that Emerson is no longer needed.

Juventus are also interested in signing Emerson, the report continues, and so the Nerazzurri have accelerated in the race to sign the player. Inter met the player’s entourage in recent days to discuss a possible deal and have started talks with Chelsea, who have lowered their demands. The 25-year-old is now valued at around €30 million.

Inter In Negotiations With Man Utd Over Signing Alexis Sanchez On Permanent Basis

Inter have reached an agreement with Manchester United to renew Alexis Sanchez’s loan deal until 5th August, with the Nerazzurri keen to keep the Chilean for next season as well, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia late last night.

The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean forward will return to Manchester after the Nerazzurri’s game against Getafe, unless the Milanese club reach an agreement with the Red Devils to keep the player.

Inter understand that they could pay around €10-15 million for Sanchez if they purchase him now, rather than waiting. Negotiations are still ongoing, although one idea would be a one-year loan deal with a buy obligation attached, the report continues.

The Nerazzurri did want to wait before signing Sanchez but now may accelerate to pay the low price. The Chilean has made 20 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring two goals and providing six assists in that time.

Inter Have Already Contacted Chelsea To Discuss Emerson Palmieri Transfer

Inter’s top option to strengthen their left wing back position is Chelsea full back Emerson, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 25-year-old Italian Brazilian played his last Premier League game back in January, and has fallen out of favour with coach Frank Lampard.

The Blues are also linked with Leicester City talent Ben Chilwell, which suggests that the English coach has all but given up on Emerson. The Nerazzurri have been following the situation and are now making a move to sign the player.

Inter directly contacted Chelsea a few days ago to begin talks, the report continues, and the Blues are happy to negotiate a deal for Emerson, as the player is clearly transfer listed. Chelsea want a definitive sale, whereas the Nerazzurri are hoping for a loan with a buy option attached worth less than €30 million.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Prefers Roma’s Edin Dzeko But Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud Still A Possibility

Inter are still looking to sign a new striker and are interested in both Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri need a backup for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and also appreciate that a new striker is needed even if Lautaro Martinez isn’t sold to Barcelona this summer.

Coach Antonio Conte’s preferred choice is the 34-year-old Bosnian Dzeko, who is contracted to Roma until the end of June 2022. Juventus are also interested in the former Manchester City striker, but the Nerazzurri would prioritise him should Lautaro be sold to the Blaugrana.

If Lautaro does stay in Milan, Giroud becomes a more viable choice, the report continues. The 33-year-old Frenchman’s wages are significantly lower than Dzeko’s and the 2018 World Cup winner will earn even less playing time due to the arrivals of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech in West London.

Bayern Munich CEO Rummenigge: “No Final Decision Made Yet On Signing Ivan Perisic From Inter”

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge discussed the Bavarian club’s transfer situation, the possible signing of Inter forward Ivan Perisic and the futures of Thiago Alcantara and David Alaba in an interview with German broadcaster Sport1 earlier today.

First, he discussed the future of the 31-year-old Croatian forward, who has spent this season on loan with Bayern from the Nerazzurri.

“We haven’t decided anything yet, but I would like to stress that Bayern Munich are also facing important economic challenges.”

Perisic has impressed this season with the Bavarian club, being regularly deploying by coach Hansi Flick and noted for his tactical flexibility. The 2018 World Cup runner up has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1515 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided nine assists.

Rummenigge also spoke about the futures of Inter linked Thiago Alcantara and David Alaba, who both have contracts expiring next season.

“Both are high level guys, on and off the pitch. Now we have to try to find a financially acceptable solution for us. It is known that both players’ contracts will expire next year.”

The Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen the squad this summer and one role that is important is the wing back role, which is why Alaba has attracted the interest of Inter.

Sebastiano Esposito Wants Inter Stay & His Agents Will Meet With Club Mid-July To Talk Contract Extension

Inter starlet Sebastiano Esposito wants to stay at Inter and will meet with the Nerazzurri to discuss a contract renewal later this month, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The report details how the 18-year-old Italian centre forward, who celebrated his birthday earlier this week, wants to stay with the Nerazzurri and never considered offers from other clubs.

Esposito will only leave Inter on loan, in order to gain regular playing time. The teenager and his entourage will meet the Nerazzurri’s management in mid-July to discuss a contract renewal.

Inter offered Esposito a contract worth €450 thousand in February which was declined, the report continues, and so the club’s offer rose to €750-800 thousand a season. Esposito is asking for €1 million plus add-ons per season, and so talks are currently on going to find a suitable agreement for both parties. The 18-year-old has scored one goal in 12 first team games for the Nerazzurri.

Inter Wrap Up Signing Of Young Greek Goalkeeper Nikolaos Botis For Primavera Team

Inter started talks for latest signing for the Primavera team, 16-year-old Greek goalkeeper Nikolaos Botis, in May, according to a report from Greek media outlet Trikalaidees.gr earlier today, as reported by FcInterNews.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have signed the young PAOK talent for some time now, and began negotiations for the player in May, two months after Botis turned 16, which is the minimum age for transfers abroad.

Inter’s offer was convincing enough for the 16-year-old and his family that they rejected other offers, including ones from England, in order to join the Nerazzurri.

Inter are looking to strengthen their Primavera squad and begin developing a strong core of youth talent as the Suning group want a powerful foundation to build the first team squad off of.

The Nerazzurri have also been making other youth signings like 18-year-old Greek defender Georgios Vagiannidis, who joined the Nerazzurri earlier this week from Panathinaikos, making Botis the second Greek player in the Primavera squad.

Newcastle Coach Steve Bruce On Inter Owned Valentino Lazaro: “Happy For Him, Great Performance”

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has admitted to being happy with the recent performances of on loan Valentino Lazaro and other loan players.

The Austrian national team defender joined the Premier League outfit on a six month loan with option to buy from Inter in the most recent January transfer window and that loan has since been extended until the end of the current season.

“I was happy for Bentaleb, Lazaro and Emil Krafth, who had to be patient to play. They came here to test themselves in the Premier League and their performances the other night were great to see,” Bruce remarked as part of his press conference ahead of Newcastle United’s upcoming fixture with West Ham United this weekend.

Lazaro came through the ranks at RB Salzburg in his native Austria and moved to Hertha Berlin in 2018, after a stellar season Inter picked him this past Summer in a circa €20 million deal.

The 24-year-old failed to nail down a place in the Inter team in the first half of the season which led to him being loaned to Newcastle United, who he has made nine appearances for, in which he has scored twice.

Vratislav Gresko On Infamous Mistake Costing Inter 2002 Serie A Title: “They Massacred The Whole Team”

Former Inter defender Vratislav Gresko has recalled what it was like in the days following May 5 2002, the day Inter infamously lost out on the Serie A title on the final day of the 2001/02 season.

Gresko’s mistake, a poor header in the direction of goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, was capitalised on by Karel Poborsky who made the score 2-2 and Lazio would then go on to win the match 4-2 which cost Inter Scudetto glory.

“They didn’t just massacre me, the whole team was massacred,” the Slovakian remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet Il Posticipo.

“I was wrong too, but I could mention many other things that prevented us from winning that year. You have to think about beautiful things and put ugly ones behind you. Don’t forget them, but know how to use them in the future.”

Gresko then spoke on what it was like to be at Inter whilst Massimo Moratti was the president and owner of the club.

“The Moratti family always supported us even when things were not going well. They were always close to us. Giacinto Facchetti did it too. In my career I played for teams like Bayer Leverkusen who were run by a factory and in clubs managed by a family. That was the case at Inter and I felt really good there.”

He then went on to state that he takes responsibility for his mistake that cost the Nerazzurri the title that year.

“I don’t want to blame others, I take responsibility for what happened. I was young, I was 22-years-old. After a bad defeat, the best thing to do is to close the front door and stay in there and not go out.

“Fans go to the stadium to see their team win and when it doesn’t happen they get angry. Fans think that players can influence things.

“When a footballer goes to town, regardless of whether he played the day before or not, he is caught by the fans he meets and must take the blame. In each country, however, it is different.”

He then revealed that he still looks out for Inter’s results and it makes him happy to see Inter win matches.

“I have good relations with Inter and with other clubs and not only in Italy. I have friends in Germany and England. I follow some teams in Italy and especially some players. In Parma I played little, but I follow them because Kucka is there. I watch Serie A and when Inter wins I am happy.”

Gresko then spoke on his experience in Italy as a whole and how things have changed for compatriots of his who have since played in Italy.

“It was not a simple period. In my opinion, everything is different today because Slovak players are treated differently in Italy.

“Today there are many of them in Serie A: Haraslin at Sassuolo, Vavro at Lazio, Skriniar at Inter and Kucka at Parma. In my time the situation was different, but Italy was still a good experience for me.”

In conclusion he spoke on his arrival at Inter.

“I arrived with little experience and only a few games under my belt. I made the leap into a huge team with a beautiful football history, many fans and a beautiful city behind it. Unfortunately, I hadn’t played in many games in Germany because of a muscle injury.”
