Having signed Achraf Hakimi, Inter are now working on deals to bring Emerson Palmieri and Sandro Tonali to the club according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter have started negotiations with Chelsea and are, as per this report, preparing to make a first offer for the Italian national team full back, who has been with Chelsea since January 2018.

Emerson Palmieri wishes to return to Italy and work under Inter manager Antonio Conte again who knows him well and respects him.

As for Inter’s pursuit of Tonali, the report goes on to explain that Inter are in continuous contract with Brescia to try and reach a deal for him.

Inter have an agreement in place with Tonali over personal terms and hope to be able to have an agreement over his price with Brescia by the end of this month.

Inter are not rushing things and are confident that they will wrap up a deal for him despite the fact other clubs could well come in for him.

Today is a decisive day for Marcelo Brozovic and whether he will be able to start in this weekend’s match against Bologna according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Croatian national team midfield maestro returned to the bench for Wednesday night’s 6-0 win over Brescia and Inter manager Antonio Conte recently confirmed he is nearing a return to action but it remains to be seen whether Sunday’s encounter at San Siro will come too soon for him or not.

His return will come as a big boost to Conte who has had to work with very few options in midfield in recent weeks due to injuries.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to add that on top of Brozovic’s condition being evaluated, Matias Vecino’s condition will also be assessed as will Victor Moses, who was forced to come off in the second half of the win over Brescia.

Inter are working on bringing young defender Zinho Vanheusden back to the club according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Italia, which was aired late last night.

Vanheusden is currently on the books of Belgian Pro League club Standard Liege and as part of the deal that saw him end up there, Inter obtained a buy back option which allows them to re-sign him for a sum of €20 million.

Inter management are considering the possibility of activating the option as Vanheusden could well be a feature in the first team following two years as a regular starter honing his skills at Standard Liege.

The highly rated Belgian youth national team defender is a product of Inter’s academy and prior to his return to his native Belgium, Vanheusden made 49 appearances combined at under 17 and Primavera level, in which he scored a total of seven goals.

This past season Vanheusden made 28 appearances for Standard Liege and scored two goals whilst on the park.

Inter have been thinking about signing the full back for some time and in the last few days they have taken steps toward signing him in a bid to beat arch rivals Juventus to his signature.

The Italian national team player is open to a move to Inter as he will be able to work under Antonio Conte again and his representatives are at work to get a deal done as soon as possible.

Inter are currently in negotiations with Chelsea over him and are trying to convince the Premier League side to drop their demands below the €30 million mark.

Inter are trying to extend Alexis Sanchez’s loan with the club and are also working on trying to sign him on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

The Chilean national team player joined Inter on a season long loan from Premier League side Manchester United this past Summer and that loan was extended until the end of the first week in August in the past few days.

Inter currently pay €5 million of his €12 million a year pay packet and his salary is certainly an obstacle that would need to be overcome in order to land him on a permanent basis.

The report from the broadcaster goes on to explain that the former Barcelona player could be handed a start in this weekend’s match against Bologna and Inter manager Antonio Conte could bench Lautaro Martinez and start Sanchez up front with Romelu Lukaku.

Barcelona’s pursuit of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has entered into a crucial phase according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Sport.

Inter and Barcelona both remain distant in negotiations over the highly rated 22-year-old both in terms of the price and the players who could be included in any deal.

Inter are trying to put pressure on Barcelona by reiterating that Lautaro’s €111 million release clause expires in a few days time on July 7 and once it expires the freedom of the Argentine expires too.

Upon the expiration of the clause, Inter will have the ability to demand even more for him but the report goes on to add that Barcelona insist that the release clause expires on July 15 instead. Bayern Munich wing-back David Alaba is under consideration by Inter as an option to reinforce the left hand side according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Austrian national team defender’s contract with the recently crowned German champions is set to expire at the end of next season and a contract extension with the Bavaria based club appears to be far away.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter’s arch rivals Juventus are also interested in Alaba, who is naturally a full back but more than capable of playing at centre back.

It also adds that Alaba likes the idea of a move to Spain with Real Madrid and Barcelona both understood to be interested in adding him to their ranks.

This season Alaba has made 37 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.

Inter have confirmed that Victor Moses has sustained a thigh injury following testing at the Humanitas Institute of Rozzano earlier on today via a statement posted on the official club website.

The Nigerian national team defender asked to be substituted in the second half of the 6-0 win over Brescia in mid-week due to an injury issue which has now been confirmed as muscle fatigue in the flexors of his left thigh.

The club have not given a timetable for Moses’ return although it can be presumed that he will be unavailable for this weekend’s Serie A clash at home to Bologna.

Moses joined Inter on an initial six month loan deal from Chelsea back in the most recent January transfer window and the loan deal has since been extended until the end of the first week in August.

Since his arrival at the club, the 29-year-old has made 12 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided three assists.
