Inter Defender Danilo D’Ambrosio: “Most Important Thing Is We Didn’t Concede, Happy I Scored”

Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio has shared his delight after Inter managed to achieve a clean sheet in last night’s 6-0 triumph over Serie A strugglers Brescia.

The Italian, who is naturally a full back but played at centre back in the match, scored Inter’s third goal of the game on the stroke of half time. That was D’Ambrosio’s second goal in 20 appearances across all competitions to date.

“We did not concede any goals and this is the most important thing. If we want to aim for important objectives the fundamental thing is to not concede goals. Lately we have conceded many so it is positive that we didn’t today [yesterday],” he explained in an interview with sports broadcaster DAZN.

Next he spoke on his recent return to action following a series of injuries that have forced him to watch on from the sidelines as of late.

“I had several injuries even after the lockdown. With the manager and the staff we work 100% every day so there are all the prerequisites for getting into top condition. Now it is a particular situation, playing every three days in this heat is not easy but my condition improves over time.”

He was then asked about the race for the Serie A title and the current league standings which see Inter down in third place eight points adrift of league leaders and reigning champions Juventus.

“We only look at ourselves. We start from the premise of improving ourselves and today [yesterday] the important thing was to not concede. We repeated it several times both on the pitch and in the changing rooms.”

In conclusion he spoke on his desire to score goals and shared his delight at having managed to do it against La Rondinelle last night. “

“When I get to the penalty area I always try to put the ball in the back of the net. Today [yesterday] I did it and I’m very pleased.”

Inter Want To Sign On Loan Striker Alexis Sanchez Permanently From Man Utd

Inter want to sign Alexis Sanchez outright from Manchester United according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Chilean national team player is currently on loan at the Nerazzurri club until the end of the first week in August and the management at Inter are thinking about keeping him with the club past the end of this season.

However, Manchester United’s demands for the former Barcelona player and the player’s salary demands will largely determine whether or not Inter will make a swoop to land him on a permanent basis, the report continues.

The report adds that the remaining games of the season will help Inter to determine what to do regarding the 31-year-old, who has been in fine form since the football season resumed.

During his loan spell with Inter, Sanchez has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided six assists for his teammates.

Bayern Munich Director Salihamidzic: “Very Happy To Have Extended Loan Of Inter Owned Ivan Perisic”

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has shared his delight following the loan extensions that the club have secured in the past few days, including the extension of Ivan Perisic’s loan.

Perisic joined the recently crowned German champions on a season long loan this past Summer from Inter and in the past few days the clubs came to an agreement which means the Croatian national team player will remain on loan with the Bavaria based club until the end of August.

“We are very happy to have extended all three players on loan until August, they will be able to help us in important matches,” he explained during the press conference in which he confirmed the club were close to signing Leroy Sane.

As part of the initial loan, Bayern Munich secured an option to buy him outright for €20 million and that option has since expired and reports have suggested that Bayern Munich will only sign him permanently if Inter give them a big discount.

Speaking on the possibility of turning the loan deals into permanent moves, Salihamidzic added: “The financial possibilities are not infinite, we must be creative.”

Italian Media Praise Referee Manganiello For Way He Refereed In Inter’s Win Over Brescia

In today’s print edition, Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have sang the praises of referee Gianluca Manganiello for his performance in last night’s match between Inter and Brescia at San Siro.

Inter raced to an early lead against the visiting Rondinelle via an Ashley Young volley. Inter’s lead was doubled soon after thanks to Alexis Sanchez and Danilo D’Ambrosio made it 3-0 on the stroke of half time.

Inter started the second half the same way as they started the first, with a goal as Roberto Gagliardini made it 4-0. Christian Eriksen and Antonio Candreva scored Inter’s fifth and sixth goals later on in the match.

The report believes that Manganiello got the decision to award Inter with a penalty following a foul on Victor Moses was spot on as was his decision to book Ales Mateju.

He was also right to book Inter defender Stefan de Vrij for his foul on Brescia forward Florian Aye. Moreover, he was right to award Inter with a free kick rather than award Brescia with a penalty when Andrea Ranocchia and Ernesto Torregrossa collided in the Inter box.

Inter Linked Bayern Munich Full-Back David Alaba: “Not Worrying About My Future At The Moment”

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has admitted that he is currently not thinking about his future but admits that he will soon have to make a decision.

The Austrian national team player’s contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of next season and reports in the media have suggested that Bayern Munich are unwilling to meet Alaba’s salary demands which exceed their offer of €15 million a year.

“I don’t worry about it at the moment. In recent weeks, the focus has been on the field and nothing will change in the next few weeks. How long will it take to make a decision? I don’t know but I’ll have to make one sooner or later,” Alaba explained in an interview with German news outlet Kicker.

Inter are reportedly keeping tabs on Alaba’s situation as they look to reinforce the left hand side of their defence whilst it has been reported in the media lately that the player likes the idea of a move to Spain after spending nearly his entire career in Germany.

This season he has made 37 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 3200 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided two assists.
