Having wrapped up a deal to sign Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid, Inter are to now shift their focus on to signing Brescia’s Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Giorno.

Inter have signed Hakimi for €45 million including add-ons and having passed a medical and signed a five year contract all that remains is for Inter to officially announce the deal.

As a result of this, Inter can now afford to move on to Tonali, who is one of their biggest transfer targets for the upcoming transfer window.

Inter’s plans for the upcoming transfer window are clear with the Nerazzurri management out to reinforce the team with players who are able to guarantee the club a bright future.

Brescia, as per other reports in the media, are said to be demanding €50 million for Tonali, who has scored one goal and provided five assists in 27 appearances across all competitions to date.

Former Inter captain Mauro Icardi has revealed the main reasons behind his decision to leave Inter for Paris Saint-Germain in the past few weeks.

The Argentine striker spent this season out on loan at the French champions and they struck a deal with Inter to sign him outright for €58 million including add-ons.

“It was important for me to take a big step in my career,” he explained in an interview with Paris Saint-Germain’s official club broadcaster PSG TV earlier on today.

“I am 27-years-old, I spent a lot of time in Italy. I wanted to come to a club like Paris Saint-Germain to win titles and to get to a higher level. It is for these reasons that I wanted to change clubs and evolve in my career.”

Icardi joined Inter in 2013 from Sampdoria and was a prolific goalscorer during his time with Inter and he also served as club captain for several seasons.

In 219 appearances across all competitions for Inter, the former Barcelona academy player scored 124 goals and provided his teammates with 28 assists.

Whilst on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just shy of 2000 minutes, he has netted 20 goals and provided four assists.

Inter’s interest in Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is growing according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

Inter are looking to reinforce at left wing back having recruited Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid to reinforce right wing back and Alaba is one of several names under consideration by Inter management ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Other players under consideration include Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, whom Inter manager Antonio Conte is reportedly very keen on.

The Austrian national team defender’s contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of next season and there have been talks over a new deal but it is said that Alaba’s demands are in excess of what the recently crowned German champions are willing to offer him.

The report goes on to explain that the signing of Alaba, who is also capable of playing at centre back, would be a gift to Conte, who is still not satisfied even after having just won 6-0.

Inter are negotiating with Manchester United over a new loan deal for Alexis Sanchez over next season according to a report from Italia broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

Sanchez joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer and that loan was extended yesterday until the end of the first week of August, meaning he will be able to play the remainder of the Serie A season for Inter but will not be available for the latter stages of the Europa League.

The Chilean national team player has spent a considerable time on the sidelines this season but has been in stellar form in the past few matches which has encouraged Inter to pursue another loan deal for him.

Sanchez has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In his time on the park, which totals just under 800 minutes, he has scored two goals and provided six assists for his teammates.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is craving Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri as he eyes defensive reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.

Inter have wrapped up the signing of Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid and the Moroccan will be the starting right wing back with Antonio Candreva to be his backup.

As for the left hand side, Ashley Young has all the right qualities but is nearing the end of his career whilst Cristiano Biraghi may not be signed outright. Conte would like reunited with Emerson who would then become Inter’s starting left wing back.

The report goes on to add that Torino’s Armando Izzo is being evaluated as a potential reinforcement for central defence.

Inter are also looking to improve their attack and their first goal is to keep a hold of on loan Alexis Sanchez. Edin Dzeko, Edinson Cavani, Mattheus Cunha, Andrea Pinamonti are all also being considered as additions and the report also adds that Inter youngster Eddie Salcedo could be given a chance in the first team.

It will be difficult for Inter to sign Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic unless Lautaro Martinez is sold according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.

Inter have a long standing interest in signing the Serbian national team midfielder but due to UEFA’s financial fair play system it will be difficult for Inter to land Milinkovic-Savic unless they are to sell Lautaro, who has been continually linked with a move to Barcelona for some time now.

Lautaro has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with Inter and the release clause is due to expire just shortly meaning Inter could demand even more for him.

Should Inter get the value of his release clause or more, they would have adequate funds available to them to launch a move for Milinkovic-Savic, who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in Serie A and as a result he will come far from cheap.

Barcelona believe they will be able to get Lautaro Martinez for cheaper when his release clause expires according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The highly rated 22-year-old striker has a €111 million release clause in his current contract which expires on July 7 as per Inter or July 15, as per Barcelona.

Inter have so far been reluctant to drop their demands for the Argentine national team player, who has seemingly already agreed personal terms with Barcelona.

Barcelona have tried to tempt Inter with a player plus cash offer but Inter do not agree with Barcelona’s evaluation of Junior Firpo, who they have offered as part of a deal.

Barcelona value the full back at €41 million and would be willing to give Inter €70 million on top of him but Inter only value Firpo at €20 million and no more.

The report goes on to add that if a deal is not reached in the coming weeks negotiations will continue over time and Barcelona are not worried by this prospect as they think Lautaro’s price will lower once his release clause expires.
