Spanish Media Report Antonio Conte Fundamental In Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi Decision To Choose Inter

Inter coach Antonio Conte was crucial in convincing Real Madrid right back Achraf Hakimi to join the Nerazzurri, according to a report from Spanish newspaper AS, as reported by FcInterNews.

The report details how the 21-year-old Moroccan, who has impressed in the last two seasons whilst on loan with Borussia Dortmund, was convinced to join the Nerazzurri by the project of Conte. The Milanese club also could guarantee him regular first team football, more than what Los Blancos could offer, which he believed as being the perfect place to grow professionally.

Inter’s offer of a five-year contract worth €5 million net per season including add-ons also helped to convince Hakimi, the report continues. The player could still cross paths with Real Madrid in the future, but that wouldn’t have been the case if he had chosen to join Bayern Munich instead.

Hakimi has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Zorc On Inter Linked Hakimi: “We Tried To Keep Him”

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc discussed the departure of Achraf Hakimi, his return to Real Madrid and possible transfer to Inter in an interview with German broadcaster Sky Sports Deutschland earlier today.

“We tried to keep him with other ideas, but the price was too high for us and Real Madrid did not want to lose money in any way. We simply realized at some point that we couldn’t and didn’t want to keep him here. There have been new developments these days, and the sum of the transfer will certainly be higher.”

Inter are prepared to sign the 21-year-old Moroccan right back Hakimi, who has impressed in his two seasons on loan with Borussia Dortmund.

The Nerazzurri will pay around €40-45 million for Hakimi’s signature, offering him a five-year contract worth €5 million net per season plus add-ons, making a statement to the football world that the Milanese club are fighting amongst the best again.

Hakimi was convinced to join Inter by coach Antonio Conte, as he is a big fan of the Lecce born coach’s project in Milan. He declined offers from Bayern Munich and Manchester City to join the Nerazzurri, showing his faith in the project. The player has made 44 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3527 minutes. In that time, he has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists.

Italian Journalist Nicolo Schira: “Hellas Verona Decline Lazio’s Offer For Inter Linked Marash Kumbulla”

Inter could return in the fight to sign Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla, after Lazio’s deal proved insufficient for the Gialloblu, according to a report from Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti submitted an €18 million offer for the 20-year-old Albanian defender, including two players in exchange, but the offer was declined by the Veneto based club, who still want €30 million for their starlet.

Inter have been interested in Kumbulla for some time now, the report continues, and may look to reinsert themselves into negotiations for the 20-year-old. The Albanian centre back has impressed in his debut season in Serie A, attracting the attention of top clubs around Europe.

Kumbulla has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1761 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the side keep seven clean sheets.

Schira detailed the situation, saying: “Lazio’s offer for Marash Kumbulla (€18M + 2 players) is considered low by Verona, who have decided to decline it. Setti is still holding firm on the €30M rating for the centre back. The games reopen for the other Italian clubs and foreign suitors.”

Spanish Media Claim No Offer From Inter For Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi Exists

A report from Spanish media outlet Marca has suggested that Inter haven’t submitted an offer for Achraf Hakimi.

The Real Madrid executives are calm regarding Hakimi, the report continues, and coach Zinedine Zidane could still take the player back to Spain if he wanted, although Dani Carvajal is the preferred option. Hakimi has made 44 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3527 minutes. Inter Close To Agreeing Terms With Man Utd & Chelsea Over Loan Extension Of Victor Moses & Alexis Sanchez Until End Of Season

Inter have reached an agreement with Chelsea and Manchester United to extend the loan deals of Victor Moses and Alexis Sanchez until the end of the season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are keen to keep both the players until the end of the season, which would require an extension considering that both deals are set to expire at the end of this month. The Coronavirus stop has pushed the Serie A season back by around three months and so new deals are needed that will expire at the end of August instead.

Inter would even like to keep Sanchez for another season on loan, the report continues, with coach Antonio Conte a big fan of the Chilean forward, who has struggled with injuries this season in Milan. Sanchez has scored one goal and provided four assists in 18 appearances this season.
