A strange summer lays ahead for Mauro Icardi is ahead. The joint top goal scorer ,alongside Immobile, of Serie A will not go to the World Cup and his future at Inter remains in the balance unless there is a renewal.

The release clause of €110 million which only applies to foreign clubs only remains valid until July 15th, the same day as the World Cup Final in Moscow.

Rome based Corriere dello Sport reports that: “Inter can continue to work with calm for now, but Maurito will soon return to discuss the revision of his contract, demanding €8 million net per season.”

Icardi is waiting for a response from Inter, who instead, are taking their time before presenting their offer. Inter want to understand what other clubs would offer Maurito, in relation to his personal demands.

Admitting the difficulty of keeping a player who attracts so much interest from high bidding clubs, Luciano Spalletti gave some reassurance, when he said that Icardi went to greet Lautaro Martinez after he landed in Milano from Argentina.

An embrace between two Argentine attakcers, who will learn to play with one another in the coming weeks. For now, Mauro only has Inter in his head but as for tomorrow, who knows Corriere asks.

There is a lot of temptation from clubs like Real Madrid, who would get more serious if Cristiano Ronaldo leavest, as it would give Maurito more room.

Everyone at Inter is in agreement that Marcelo Brozovic will be basis from which to build the midfield. The question is who will play next to him next season when the Nerazzurri return to the Champions League for the first time in 6 years?

According to Turin-based Tuttosport: “Gagliardini has done well with Brozovic and will have his chances, but with Inter’s Champions League adventure, Spalletti wants to have more options and someone with experience, who can take the quality of his team to the next level.”

Ausilio and Gardini are currently focused on selling players, to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules but the list of potential candidates has already been made. Those are Roma’s Strootman and Nainggolan, Bayern’s Vidal and Demebele of Spurs. Behind them are Barella, Cristante and Praet.

But Tuttosport believe attention should be given back to an old target: “In the last few hours, however, Ramires, the ex-Chelsea star who seemed destined to move from Jiangsu, Suning’s Chinese Club to Inter in January, has returned to the scene as an option. He’s won’t cause any problems with Financial Fair Play and could arrive in July. He can play in two positions, is for sale and above all, has Champions League experience.”

There’s a lot of interest surrounding Dalbert, as the Brazilian is tipped for a loan move from Milano, after just one season. Gazzetta dello Sport confirms the rumours and gives an outline of the situation regarding a proposed move back to Ligue 1 but for Monaco: “The team from the French Principality’s team like to bring him back to Ligue 1, where he played to his full ability while in Nice, but has failed to do so while at Inter.”

The formula would be a loan, but the Nerazzurri are asking for €3 million for the loan, plus the savings on the contract, would help Inter’s financia. The Nerazzurri are calm, due to the fact that the Brazilian also has interest from Borussia Dortmund and the Premier League.

West Ham are interested in resigning Inter outcast Joao Mario on loan for another season, according to the Evening Standard.

The Portuguese midfielder made 14 appearances for the Hammers during the 2017-18 campaign after joining them on a six-month loan in January, scoring twice and providing one assist as they secured a 13th-place finish in the Premier League.

He is due to return to Inter for pre-season training in July as the agreement between the clubs did not contain any option to buy for West Ham, but he does not appear to have any future with the Nerazzurri and so it could well be that he ends up returning to East London.

Having recently unveiled former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager, the English outfit are said to be interested in taking Mario back on loan for the 2018-19 campaign, as the 25 year-old impressed during his time in the Premier League.

However Inter are only willing to part company with the player on a permanent deal, and are currently asking for £26 million.
