Inter intend to stick with manager Luciano Spalletti regardless if he manages to take Inter in to next season’s Champions League or not according to a report from Premium Sport.

There is a shared desire between the two parties to extend the contract and Spalletti is already preparing for the future at the helm of the Nerazzurri.

Inter themselves have started planning for the future and have already secured Stefan de Vrij, Kwadwo Asamoah and highly rated youngster Lautaro Martinez ahead of this summer’s transfer window opening.

Inter are by no means about to slow down with their transfer business and have identified a number of other targets that they will now pursue. Premium Sport however further report that each addition will be coupled with a sale of a player. Winger Antonio Candreva is a player who could possibly be sold off with Bernard and Jonathan Bamba being tipped to replace him if he is sold. Meanwhile, Bryan Cristante and Nicolo Barella are both targets for the midfield.

Rafinha was the latest Inter star to appear on InterTV show “Drive” and spoke on a range of topics including what he believes he would be had he not made it as a footballer.

The Brazilian firstly spoke about his childhood and the origins of his nickname, Rafinha.

“I started as a goalkeeper. My father handed down his passion for football, I come from a family of sportsmen and we grew up in a sporting environment.

“My friends call me Rafa, or Rafael, but everyone knows me as Rafinha. In Brazil it is an affectionate name, as a child they called me it so I decided that it would be my name on myshirt. I was thinking of changing it but doing so would be strange.”

He proceeded to discuss why he chose Inter, what he thinks of Italian football and spoke on the Inter fans who have backed him since his arrival in January.

“I chose Inter for the project that they explained to me. They wanted me to be part of this project, I saw matches and I thought I could play a role in this group, so I joined.

“Italian football is known all over the world, it is very tactical. My father [former Lecce and Fiorentina midfielder Mazinho] gave me many tips.

“I was very struck by the affection they have for me, here I feel at home even if I have been here for just 3 months. In Spain it is also like this but here they treated me very well from the first moment.”

The 25-year-old then spoke on his friends within the Inter squad and what he thinks he would’ve been if he wasn’t a footballer.

“I already knew Mauro Icardi who explained how Inter works, the structures, with him I have a special relationship. I met him when we were 15, in Las Palamas in the cantera of Barcelona, ​​we were the same age and we had a lot of fun. I have bonded with Brazilians and with Joao Cancelo too. I speak Spanish with Borja Valero and then use English with the Slovaks and Croats.

“If I had not been a footballer I’d have been a musician or even a policeman, but I always wanted to do something in the world of music or sport.”

Inter are to rival Premier League club Chelsea for the signature of Benjamin Henrichs according to a report from British tabloid the Sun and Italian transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.

The 21-year-old is a summer transfer target for each side and it could take as much as €35 million to convince Bayer Leverkusen in to parting ways with the highly rated defender. A natural right back, he can also play on the opposite side and even centrally if so required.

This is not the first time Inter have come in to links with the German national with reports circulating in February and March of last year suggesting that the Nerazzurri were keen on adding him to their ranks.

Henrichs, who is under contract with the BayArena side through to the end of the 2021/2022 season, has made no less than 27 appearances across all competitions this term for Die Werkself, helping them toward a third placed finish.

Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic has been named WhoScored.com’s Serie A player of the month having put in two man of the match performances in that time.

The Croatian midfielder has enjoyed a recent upturn in form since being deployed in a deeper role in front of
the defence and won the award with an average rating of 7.95 across the five games Inter player during the month of April.

No action will be taken by the FIGC after they reviewed the footage that showed Juventus manager Max Allegri and fourth official Paolo Tagliavento talking after the Derby D’Italia on Saturday night, FIGC Procurator Giuseppe Pecoraro has confirmed..

The video showed Allegri speaking very highly of referee Daniele Orsato and ordering that he receive a promotion for his controversial performance in the game that Juventus won 3-2.

“No procedure will be opened, we have talked about it so much, maybe even uselessly. We have acquired the film, I have seen it and there is no procedure to open, for better or for worse,” Pecoraro told Rai Sport.

Orsato made a number of questionable decisions during the match with his decision to consult VAR and change Matias Vecino’s yellow card for a tackle on Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic to a red one being one of the most controversial. Orsato also proceeded to not send off an already booked Miralem Pjanic later in the game despite the Bosnian midfielder committing what many have deemed a series of yellow card offences.

In entrata più Bryan Cristante di Nicolò Barella, per sostituire il numero 87 si cerca un colpo a parametro zero (dopo Stefan de Vrij e probabilmente Kwadwo Asamoah, per il quale però non c’è ancora accordo sull’ingaggio) che risponde al nome di Bernard dello Shakhtar Donetsk o Jonathan Bamba del Saint-Étienne, entrambi in scadenza al 30 giugno.

A Napoli hanno preso molto peggio l’arbitraggio di Daniele Orsato in Inter-Juventus, nonostante alla fine i danneggiati siano stati i nerazzurri. Racing Club’s upcoming clash with Universidad de Chile will almost certainly be the last time Inter-bound Lautaro Martinez represents his beloved club in the Copa Libertadores.

Speaking to the press before the match, the Bull of Bahia Blanca confirmed the interest from an important club that had invested a lot of money to bring him to Europe from next summer.

La Nacion quoted the player as stating: “It may be that Thursday is my last game for Racing in the Cup, as there is a club that is interested in me and has offered a lot of money. I will make the best choice for my future.”

After four matches so far, Racing current sit top of their Group E on eight points, three clear of Universidad de Chile and Cruzerio. The 20 year old striker is currently second on the goal scorers charts with five goals, so far, in the tournament.

L’Inter deve guardare più la Lazio che la Roma, che anche se fa un pareggio e l’Inter vince non c’è la possibilità di recuperarla, mentre con un pareggino della Lazio… Se la lazio rallenta e l’Inter vince le sue due partite, si va a giocare tutto nell’ultima partita. Se l’Inter arriva a -1, -2 o -3 dalla lazio, quella diventa la partita: complimenti a loro se passeranno e a noi se faremo l’impresa, certamente è difficile. E poi c’è Walter Zenga (Crotone-Lazio, ndr)».

AVANTI CON SPALLETTI – «Se Massimiliano Allegri e Maurizio Sarri, come sembra, lasceranno le panchine di Juventus e Napoli, l’Inter di Luciano Spalletti e la Roma di Eusebio Di Francesco faranno un piccolo passo in avanti. Come Mauro Icardi può sbagliare solo davanti al portiere, o un portiere come Sven Ulreich fa una paperata incredibile in semifinale di Champions, può sbagliare un arbitro: si tratta di un errore tecnico, le polemiche riguardano solo questo, non questioni familiari. L’Amministratore Delegato Alessandro Antonello da una parte ha sottolineato certi concetti e dall’altra confermato che il campionato non è finito. Si parla di errori, stop. Le parole sono state forti, ma molto misurate e pensate: se la società esprime determinati concetti è rappresentativo del pensiero non solo del tifoso, ma di tutto l’ambiente. Poi può piacere o non piacere, ma non si può criticare per questo motivo il nostro AD, che parla quando ci sono temi importanti per l’azienda Inter».
