With Stefan de Vrij, Kwadwo Asamoah and Lautaro Martinez’s transfers to Inter all but done and only lacking official confirmation, the Nerazzurri are to turn their attention to adding to the midfield Premium Sport report.

Inter are keen on adding Bryan Cristante, who they have courted for quite some time, but face competition from arch rivals Juventus for the central midfielder who is reportedly not allowed to leave Atalanta for a penny less than €30 million.

Another name that Inter are understood to be considering is Cagliari’s Nicollo Barella. The youngster is wanted by many others though and has recently been linked with Premier League side Liverpool and German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Premium Sport do however report that the signing of one or both of the midfielders depends on whether Inter can qualify for next season’s Champions League. As things stand, Inter are four points off of the Champions League places with just three games left to be played this season.

Inter are one of a few clubs to have taken an interest in Manchester United’s Daley Blind according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.

The Nerazzurri are joined in courting the defender by Serie A rivals Roma and Blind’s former club Ajax, who he left to join United from in a deal around the £13 million mark in the summer of 2014.

The report suggests that the player would in fact be prepared to reduce his current salary in order to get a move to another club over the line.

There is unlikely to be any second thoughts from the Red Devils with regard to his sale if bids are to come in with circulating reports suggesting he, alongside former Inter target Matteo Darmian, have been told that they can leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Blind, 28, was a staple in Jose Mourinho’s side in United’s Champions League campaign but has made just 10 more appearances in other competitions in what has been an injury disrupted season for him.

RISCATTO DA GUADAGNARE – Il padre e agente Mazinho mette un po’ di apprensione e pressione alla dirigenza interista in vista del riscatto del centrocampista brasiliano: «Rafinha è contento dell’Inter: sta lavorando molto bene e cercando il suo spazio nel calcio. Siamo molto felici a Milano, Rafinha è cresciuto molto, è completamente recuperato e in grado di giocare i novanta minuti. Abbiamo firmato i contratti con il Barcellona e, se le cose vanno bene, dipende dall’Inter se può rimanere: dipende se l’Inter si qualifica per la Champions League e se è felice con Rafinha».

Young Inter defender Zinho Vanheusden has admitted he may seek out another loan club if he is to end up stuck on the bench in an interview with Het Belang van Limburgof.

The Belgian made his first appearance since September at the start of April following his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury but in the three games since, he has played no part, sitting on the bench for one game and not even being included in the squad for the other two.

“I am too ambitious to stay on the bench. I would prefer to go and play somewhere else [if I was to be stuck on the bench]. I know my qualities and I’m ready to see my career take off.”

The 18-year-old, who joined Standard Liege on an initial six month loan that can be extended by a further year, then spoke on what will happen at the end of the season.

“After this season I’ll have to say if I want to stay here or not, and they’ll have to tell me if they want to keep me too. I’ll see what’s best for my career and discuss it with my agent and my family.”
