Ex-Inter Coach Luciano Spalletti Open To Terminating His Contract With Club Targeting A Premier League Coaching Job

Luciano Spalletti is now willing to come to an agreement with Inter over the termination of his contract according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Spalletti was relieved from his position as Inter manager this past Summer but has remained on the club’s payroll since and still has another one year left on his contract with the club, which is worth €4.5 million net per season to him.

When AC Milan showed an interest in employing him earlier on this season, the former Roma manager was reluctant to accept anything less than every last penny he was owed by Inter.

Things have however changed though with the report from the Milan based newspaper stating he would be willing to come to an agreement with Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta as he is eyeing up managing in the Premier League.

In his two years in charge at Inter, Spalletti managed 90 matches, 46 of which he won. He also led Inter to back to back fourth place finishes.

Inter Focus On Signing PSG’s Edinson Cavani As Timo Werner Most Likely To Sign For Liverpool

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner’s most likely next destination is currently Liverpool according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The German national team player is widely expected to leave the Red Bull energy drink backed club in the coming months and has been linked with several clubs.

For the time being, Liverpool appear to be the clubs where he will most likely end up. Inter have also shown a strong interest in signing him but appear to have cooled that interest as of late with them focusing on signing Edinson Cavani, who is set to become a free agent at the end of next month.

Inter Delighted If Man City’s Joao Cancelo Returns As Part Payment For Lautaro Martinez Being Sold To Barcelona

Inter are delighted by the prospect of Joao Cancelo possibly returning to the club as part of a three way deal that will see Lautaro Martinez head to Barcelona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Barcelona intend to send Nelson Semedo to Manchester City in return for his Portuguese national team teammate and will then offer Cancelo plus a cash sum to Inter in return for Lautaro, who they have been courting for a long time now.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has already given the green light to club management to swap Cancelo and Semedo and it now remains for that to take place and Barcelona and Inter to come to an agreement over the cash element of the deal for Lautaro.

This season Cancelo has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored one goal and provided a single assist.

Inter Decline Barcelona’s Offer Of €50M + Two Players For Lautaro Martinez & Await New Offer

Both Inter and Barcelona are unwilling to drag negotiations over Lautaro Martinez on for too long according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The two clubs have been in talks for some time now over the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team striker but there is still some distance between the clubs.

Barcelona have already seen a €50 million plus two players offer rejected by the Nerazzurri, who responded by saying Junior Firpo is a welcome as part payment as well as the cash element must be raised.

Inter have reportedly made it clear to the Blaugrana club that if they are unwilling to pay his €111 million release clause then they will have to pay at least €90 million plus a player or two.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the pitch, the former Racing Club player has netted 16 goals and has tallied four assists.

Italian Media Claims Inter Open To Giving PSG €10M Discount On Mauro Icardi’s €70M Price Tag

Inter are waiting for Paris Saint-Germain to up their offer for Mauro Icardi after agreeing to give them a discount according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

There was no shortage of contact between Paris Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo and Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio over the weekend and there was also plenty of contact with the player’s agent, Wanda Nara.

Icardi joined Paris Saint Germain on a season long loan this past Summer with a €70 million option to buy attached but Inter have agreed to let him go for €60 million and are now waiting for Paris Saint Germain to offer that.

If they make that offer, it would be the third offer they have made after they have had a €35 million plus Julian Draxler and a €50 million offer both turned down.

Icardi and Wanda are both convinced about staying in the French capital and the report warns that the only doubt now is whether a clause may be inserted into the deal with prevents Paris Saint-Germain from selling the Argentine to Juventus or another Italian club for a set amount of time.

Inter Confident In Signing PSG’s Edinson Cavani Amid Interest From Newcastle & Inter Miami

Inter believe that they will be able to sign Edinson Cavani in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Cavani’s contract with his current employers, Paris Saint-Germain, is due to expire at the end of next month and with no contract renewal seemingly forthcoming he is just weeks away from becoming a free agent.

Inter are however not alone in being interested in the current Uruguayan national team striker, the report from the Milan based news outlet’s report goes on to explain.

David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami are interested as are Newcastle United, who are set to be taken over by a mega rich Saudi Arabia based consortium.

The report claims both clubs could offer a greater salary to Cavani than Inter could and it remains to be seen whether Cavani would like to join Inter despite the fact he would not make as much money.

Ex-Nerazzurri Striker Ruben Sosa: “Inter Should Keep Man Utd Owned Alexis Sanchez”

Former Inter striker Ruben Sosa discussed the Alexis Sanchez situation and how the player should still get a chance at the Nerazzurri in an interview with Chilean news outlet La Cuarta published yesterday.

“I was with him in the hotel where he lived in Milan. For me he’s a great player, with a long career, especially with his national team, he’s very respected.

“He hasn’t been given the right time, he can’t play so little, he needs to stay on the pitch for several games, for ninety minutes. He needs time to go back to be the player he is.”

Sosa suggested that the Manchester United owned forward should be given another year with the Nerazzurri, to properly show off his qualities.

“He needs two games to gain confidence, but he needs to do it whilst starting and playing the full game. I’d keep Alexis for another year at Inter. He’s a goal scorer, physically he’s very well and still has a lot to give. He’s a guy who has scored a lot of goals and will continue to do so.”

He commented on the Inter linked Arturo Vidal, who seems less and less likely to be joining the Nerazzurri as the club look for younger options.

“He would be very useful for Inter, he’s a stellar reinforcement. Antonio Conte knows him very well, he also chooses players very well. Should he arrive, Vidal would give hierarchy to the team as well as a plus of grit and dynamism. He’s a complete footballer.”

Sosa touched on the fact that Vidal previously played for Juventus.

“But that’s how football is, you have to play wherever you want. I never thought I’d play at Inter when I was at Lazio, but I did and I had three wonderful years, where I scored a lot of goals. Today I’m going to Milan and the people are very affectionate.”

Finally, Sosa spoke about Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who is heavily wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona.

“I don’t know what he wants. He’s a guy who’s part of a great team like Inter. I don’t know what the players think, they go to a team for four years and after a year they want to change to get more money. They’re thinking a lot about money.”

Sanchez, who has spent this season on a dry loan at Inter from Manchester United, has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 596 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided three assists, struggling to make a strong impact at the club since his arrival.

Liniers President Carlos Pablo: “We Could Do A Lot With The Money We Receive If Barcelona Sign Lautaro Martinez From Inter”

Carlos Pablo, president of Liniers de Bahía Blanca, the club where Inter striker Lautaro Martinez started his career, spoke about the future of the player and a possible sale in an interview with Argentine radio broadcaster Radio del Plata earlier today.

“It may be crazy, but the idea of the money we will receive makes us tremble but not despair. We could do a lot of things with that money but it’s not an issue we talk about every day.

“We are very enthusiastic about what Lautaro Martínez is doing. It’s an unusual and extraordinary situation for us. My feeling is that the purchase from Barcelona is practically done, but I don’t think they will tell us anything for the moment.”

Pablo continued discussing the situation and how they will earn from the sale of the 22-year-old Argentine striker.

“Maybe they’ll wait until the season restarts. We retain 20% of the capital gain from Racing, which was agreed with Víctor Blanco when he was sold to Inter.

“In addition to the solidarity mechanism as well, which represents 1.59% of the gross value of the transfer. If Lautaro’s transfer takes place, it will be the most important in this market.

“Maybe the money won’t be much and there will be some difference in payment or something like that. I spoke with him ten days ago and never mentioned the subject, I really respect the player’s peace of mind. B

“ut the truth is that I have friends in Spain, and they told me that they don’t talk about anything else. If you think of the names that are close to Barcelona, what a great team they are building!”

Barcelona are looking to sign the 22-year-old Lautaro in the upcoming summer transfer window but cannot afford to pay his full €111 million release clause.

Instead, they are hoping to offer multiple players to Inter, as well as a cash lump sum, but a deal has still not been finalised, with both clubs taking their time to discuss which players should be included in the deal.

Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists, forming a formidable partnership with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.
