Barcelona To Fund Lautaro Martinez Signing By Selling Nelson Semedo To Man City Who’ll Sell Joao Cancelo To Inter

There is a potential for a three way deal to take place between Inter, Barcelona and Manchester City in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar.

As per Aguilar, Barcelona intend to sell Nelson Semedo to Manchester City in order to raise funds to purchase Lautaro Martinez from Inter, who want his €111 million release clause paid in full as per various reports that have done the rounds in the media as of late.

With the funds raised from Lautaro’s sale to Barcelona, Inter will then purchase Joao Cancelo from Manchester City which will satisfy the demands of manager Antonio Conte who is keen to bolster the full back department.

Aguilar goes on to add that football super agent Jorge Mendes will be central to the success of such a deal taking place as he is the agent of both Semedo and Cancelo.

Andrea Pirlo On Inter Linked Sandro Tonali: “He’s The Most Promising Midfielder In Italy”

Legendary World Cup winning Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo has dismissed comparisons that continue to be made between him and current Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali.

Since Tonali broke onto the scene, many have likened him to the former Inter, AC Milan and Juventus midfielder for his style of play but Pirlo believes that he and Tonali are not directly comparable as players.

“They say he can be my heir. In my opinion, he is not that like me in a footballing sense, he looks more like me due to his long hair and due to the fact that he also plays for Brescia,” Pirlo explained in an Instagram Live chat with journalist Nicolo Devitiis.

“In my opinion, he is a much more complete player and it a mix between myself and other players.”

He then went on to tip the recently turned 20-year-old to have a bright future in football.

“He is certainly the most promising of the midfielders in Italy. I don’t see him as an heir because the way he plays is different, but he will certainly become a great player.”

In recent weeks and months there has been no shortage of speculation about Tonali’s future with La Rondinelle with him having been linked with Inter and Juvetus among a host of other clubs including Spanish giants Barcelona.

This season he has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided a total of five assists for his teammates.

Italian Media Claims Barcelona Able To Negotiate Personal Terms With Lautaro Martinez Due To Deal With Inter CEO Marotta

Barcelona were able to negotiate and agree personal terms with Lautaro Martinez thanks to Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Marotta gave Barcelona permission to negotiate with the 22-year-old back at the end of January on the condition that Barcelona agreed to pay the Argentine national team striker’s €111 million release clause, something that the Blaugrana club agreed to.

However, due to the events that have occurred then, namely the Coronavirus crisis, Barcelona are no longer so sure of being able to hold up to their end of the bargain.

Barcelona would instead prefer to offer cash plus three players but Marotta has told them that there will be no negotiations on this basis. Inter have dropped their demands given the circumstances and have made it clear to Barcelona that they want at least €90 million plus a player or players.

The report goes on to explain that Lautaro dreams of playing alongside Lionel Messi at club level but at the same time he has come to realise that leaving Inter now may be wrong and he has chosen to remain in silence.

Ex-Tottenham Technical Director Baldini Could Help Roma Land Inter & Napoli Target Jan Vertonghen

The presence of Franco Baldini at Roma could convince Jan Vertonghen to join them over other interested Italian clubs according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Baldini is the former technical director at Vertonghen’s current employers Tottenham Hotspur and the Italian is now a consultant for Roma president and owner James Pallotta.

Vertonghen’s current contract with the north London based club is due to expire in a matter of weeks and as a result a number of clubs have shown an interest in signing him up on a free transfer.

With it looking increasingly unlikely that Chris Smalling will stay, Roma have identified Vertonghen as someone who could replace him whilst the former Ajax defender has also been linked with both Inter and Napoli too.

This season the 33-year-old has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In 2151 minutes on the park, he has scored two goals and tallied a single assist.
