Inter have wrapped up the signing of promising Bulgarian attacking midfielder Nikola Iliev from Botev Plovdiv according to a report from Bulgarian news outlet BGDerby.com.

The Nerazzurri are to pay the Bulgarian Parva Liga side an initial sum of €500,000 and due to bonuses which have been included in the deal they could make at least a further €1.3 million.

As part of the deal Botev Plovdiv have also acquired a 15% of future sale clause which could see them earn a lot of money if Iliev goes on to become a top player, which, at the moment, looks highly likely.

The 15-year-old sensation, who plays in Botev Plovdiv’s under 19 side, has made two appearances for the Botev Plovdiv first team this season but he has been unable to make any goal contributions in his 77 minutes on the park.

The report goes on to claim that the deal will soon be officially confirmed by the clubs.

Benevento are interested in signing Al Hilal forward Sebastian Giovinco according to a report from transfer market expert Nicolo Schira.

In the past few weeks the former Juventus attacker has been linked with moves to Inter and Parma and Schira claims that the runaway Serie B leaders are working on a deal to bring the ‘atomic ant’ back to Italy.

As per Schira, Gli Stregoni are ready to give the 33-year-old former Italian national team player a three year contract as they look to improve the squad ahead of their inevitable promotion to Serie A.

Giovinco has plied his trade for the Saudi Pro League outfit since January 2019 and he has a contract with them which runs until the end of December next year.

This season the one time MLS MVP has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date. In 1730 minutes on the park, he has scored six goals and tallied eight assists.

Thomas Meunier is set to leave Paris Saint Germain at the end of this season when his contract expires according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian national team player is set to follow Edinson Cavani, Layvin Kurzawa and Thiago Silva out of the French capital city club in the coming weeks and he has a whole host of clubs interested in signing him on a free transfer.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to claim that Inter, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are all keen on landing the former Club Brugge full back, who has played his football for Paris Saint Germain since the Summer of 2016.

Meunier is one of several players with an expiring contract who Inter have sparked an interest in signing as of late with Napoli’s Dries Mertens and the aforementioned Kurzawa and Cavani both also having been linked with moves to the Nerazzurri.

Inter could offer two players, one on a permanent basis and the other on a temporary basis to Torino in exchange for central defender Armando Izzo according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri club, especially manager Antonio Conte, are big fans of Izzo with reports elsewhere in the media stating that Conte deems Izzo to be the ideal player to bolster the defence.

Inter would be willing to offer midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, a player Torino have shown an interest in as of late, on a permanent basis and the report goes on to claim that Inter could also insert Andrea Pinamonti into negotiations and he could join the Granata on loan.

Football agent Mino Raiola is the agent of both Izzo and Pinamonti and the report from the Turin newspaper explains that he will play a fundamental role in any such deal taking place between the clubs.

Sandra Zampa, an Italian government undersecretary in the ministry of health, has confirmed that the green light for football to return in Italy is getting closer to being given.

Football at all levels in the country has been on hold for around about two months as a result of the ongoing global Coronavirus crisis, the worst of which has now passed in Italy, which entered into phase two of the recovery process at the beginning of this week.

Athletes were allowed to return to training on an optional individual basis using training facilities at the start of this week and the aim is to allow group training to resume in 10 days time on May 18.

It still remains to be seen though when the seasons may be able to resume but all 20 Serie A clubs recently voted unanimously in favour of resuming and finishing the season if possible to do so.

“We are moving towards a solution and it is the solution that football fans want. The green light is not yet there, but we are heading in the right direction,” Zampa explained to Italian radio station Radio Punto Nuovo this afternoon.

“For now the discussion is about individual training, today everyone will come back to discuss the problem and the way of the solution has been imagined as a sort of seclusion of the team.

“We have to take into account another element: what will happen with this reopening and we know that it takes about 15 days to know its effects. Will the epidemic remain under control? If yes, it opens more, including football.

“The doors of training grounds will open, team training will take place and after 15 days the epidemiological data will tell us if we can take another step.

“So you can imagine going back to play, therefore is a point of mediation that is being done for the protection of players and teams with all the people involved. This is the Italian model that guarantees the health of all components: they enter healthy and must remain healthy.”

Napoli president and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is in constant contact with Massimo Cellino, who is his opposite number at Brescia, over a move for midfielder Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere del Mezzogiorno.

Four Serie A clubs are interested in signing Standard Liege’s Zinho Vanheusden in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian news outlet Eco Di Bergamo.

The highly rated Belgian centre back has been heavily linked with a return to Inter this Summer, who have a €15 million buy back option on him and this report claims that Sampdoria, Atalanta, Fiorentina and Cagliari are all also interested in the 20-year-old.

Vanheusden joined his current employers on a permanent basis this past Summer after an 18 month loan deal from Inter and has been near ever present for them this term.

He has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date, some of which came with him being the captain. In 2334 minutes on the field, the Belgian under 21 international has scored two goals and helped the Belgian Pro League side keep a total of seven clean sheets.

Paris Saint Germain could offer Inter one or two players in order to offset the cost of a permanent move for Mauro Icardi according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

Icardi is currently out on loan at the newly crowned French champions from Inter and as part of the deal Paris Saint Germain obtained an option to buy him permanently for €70 million.

Paris Saint Germain sporting director and former Inter manager Leonardo is however keen to lower the price for the Argentine and the report claims that he could offer Julian Draxler and or Leandro Paredes to the Nerazzurri as part of a deal for the 27-year-old.

The report goes on to add that much will depend on whether Icardi is willing to remain in the French capital past the end of this season.

This season Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 20 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.

Barcelona have proposed a number of players to Juventus as part of a possible deal for Miralem Pjanic, all of whom have also been offered to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Blaugrana club are keen to add the Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder to their ranks and would like to do so on a player(s) plus cash basis, the same basis on which they would like to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

As per the Milan based newspaper’s report, Barcelona have offered Ivan Rakitic, Carles Alena, Nelson Semedo, Arturo Vidal and Emerson Royal to both clubs.

Chelsea have slapped a €40 million price tag on the head of defender Emerson Palmieri ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Both Inter and Juventus have shown an interest in signing the Brazilian born Italian national team player in recent weeks as they look to bolster their respective defences and for the time being they have only conducted some enquiries.

The report goes on to claim that Inter have made contact with both Chelsea and the player’s representatives and it is understood that the player himself is open to a return to Italy where he has previously played for Roma and Palermo.

The 25-year-old, who other reports have linked with Napoli as well, has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date this term for the Premier League outfit and in 1341 minutes on the field in total, he has provided a single assist for his teammates.
