Watford & Fenerbahce Very Interested Inter’s Kwadwo Asamoah

Premier League side Watford are interested in signing Inter full back Kwadwo Asamoah, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews yesterday.

The report details how the 31-year-old Ghanaian full back, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2021, is wanted by Watford, a club owned by the Pozzo family, the same family that own Udinese, who brought Asamoah to Italy when he was 18 years old. The chance to live in London and play in the Premier League may convince Asamoah to accept the move, instead of moving to Turkey to place for Fenerbahçe.

Fenerbahçe are keen to sign Asamoah, the report continues, and have offered him a two-year deal worth €3 million net per season, the same amount that he currently earns with the Nerazzurri. Developments are expected over the next few weeks but it is unlikely that Asamoah will be an Inter player after the summer transfer window ends.

Gianluca Di Marzio: “Inter & Barcelona’s Negotiations Over Lautaro Martinez Currently On Hold”

Italian journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio discussed Inter forward Lautaro Martinez and the current situation regarding Barcelona’s interest in him in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

“The negotiation exists, even it is going through an inevitable standby phase. There is no agreement between the two clubs on the players to be exchanged and the cost. One thing is certain, they are negotiating. And it is already news compared to the initial request of the clause without any deviation. Now Inter is thinking about accepting players in exchange. The last word will have to be from Antonio Conte.”

The 22-year-old Lautaro, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023, has been a core part of coach Antonio Conte’s squad so far this season, forming a formidable partnership with Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku. The Argentine forward has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.

Barcelona are incredibly keen to bring Lautaro to Spain, believing that he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez, who is currently recovering from a serious injury. Club legend Lionel Messi is also a fan of Lautaro and has discussed the Catalan club with the 22-year-old.

Photo – Inter Defender Diego Godin Wishes Former Club Atletico Madrid A Happy Birthday

Inter defender Diego Godin wished his former club Ateltico Madrid a happy 117th birthday with a post on his Twitter page yesterday.

The 34-year-old Uruguayan veteran, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, joined the club as a free agent last summer, after his contract expired with the Spanish club. He has struggled to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and preference of a back three, and is likely to be sold by Inter in the summer.

Godin posted a tweet yesterday saying: “Happy 117 years of history Atleti!”

Nerazzurri Legend Andreas Brehme: “I’m An Inter Fan So I Hope Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez Stays”

Former Inter defender Andreas Brehme discussed the possible restart of the season and Antonio Conte’s Inter in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

“The Bundesliga is planning to restart. Of course, I am nostalgic for football and would like to see the end of the season but the authorities have to decide whether this will be possible.”

The 59-year-old German then spoke about Conte’s Inter squad.

“A great team, with a great coach. The squad certainly has room for improvement and good promise for the future.”

He touched on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.

“He’s a really great player and I’m not at all surprised that so many clubs have their eye on him. At the same time, as an Inter fan, I think that he should stay.”

Finally, Brehme spoke about Inter target Timo Werner, who has impressed with German side RB Leipzig this season.

“Timo is an incredible striker, with an impressive speed and technique. He can do even better. I understand that people create a lot of interest, but let’s not underestimate Leipzig. It’s a very well run club and I know that Timo feels really good, perfectly comfortable at RB Leipzig.”

The 22-year-old Lautaro, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists, forming a formidable partnership with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, with the Blaugrana looking for a long-term replacement for the aging Luis Suarez, although Inter are still keen to keep the player.
