Italian Report Claims Brescia Want Inter Starlet Sebastiano Esposito On Loan & Open To Deal Including Sandro Tonali

Many Italian clubs are interested in signing Inter starlet Sebastiano Esposito on loan in the summer, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.

The report details how the 17-year-old Italian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, has impressed many with his performances under coach Antonio Conte so far this season. The player was promoted to the first team by the Lecce born coach last summer and has formed a strong relationship with Romelu Lukaku.

Many clubs want to sign the player on loan, the report continues, including Parma, SPAL, Sassuolo and Cagliari, who all attempted to sign him in January as well. Brescia are also keen on Esposito and would like his loan to be included in the deal for 19-year-old midfielder Sandro Tonali. The 17-year-old Italian forward’s parents live in Milan and so Brescia would be an ideal destination for the family.

Inter coach Antonio Conte has the last word on the deal, the report highlights, and the player could remain with the Nerazzurri next season if the 50-year-old Italian decides that he will play a role in the season.

Italian Report Claims Bayern Munich Make €10M Offer For Inter Owned Ivan Perisic

Inter’s strategy regarding players out on loan has been ruined by the Coronavirus pandemic, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Giornale.

The report details how Inter CEO Beppe Marotta sent out many players on loan last summer, like Mauro Icardi, Ivan Perisic and Radja Nainggolan, with the hopes that they would all be purchased by the clubs that signed them. Only a little over a month ago the sale of both Perisic and Icardi seemed certain, but now the effects of the Coronavirus on the transfer market has damaged both deals.

Mauro Icardi’s value could drop by almost €50 million, the report highlights, making it unlikely that French side Paris Saint Germain will activate the €70 million buy option attached to him. Whilst Bayern Munich are keen to sign Perisic, they could offer only €10 million for him, far from the €20 million fee agreed upon last summer.

Nainggolan’s chances of staying in Sardinia seem a little more likely, the report adds. Cagliari could now offer a much lower fee for the Belgian midfielder, far from the €24 million that Inter paid to Roma in the summer of 2018. The only issue would be his high wages.

Inter Line Up Brescia’s Santro Tonali As A Replacement For Borja Valero Who’ll Leave Club This Summer

Inter are looking for a backup for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, with Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali being one of the two names highlighted by the club, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are set to let Spanish midfielder Borja Valero leave the club after his contract expires at the end of the season. This means that a replacement is needed, with Tonali being an attractive option. The 19-year-old Italian, who is contracted to Brescia until 2021, would cost around €40 million, a low price considering his potential.

Another option is Barcelona midfielder Carles Aleñá, the report continues. The 22-year-old could be included in the deal for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and has been compared to Italy legend Andrea Pirlo due to his specialty as a regista. Aleñá has already made 39 appearances for Barcelona and would be a low-cost option.

Inter Target Federico Chiesa Has Agreed Terms With Juventus In Deal Worth €60M

Juventus have reached an agreement with Inter target Federico Chiesa, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper La Stampa.

The report details how the Bianconeri looked to sign the 22-year-old Italian forward last summer, but the deal was blocked by new president Rocco Commisso.

The Old Lady never gave up though, and a few days ago sporting director Fabio Paratici reached an agreement with Enrico Chiesa, the father and agent of the Fiorentina talisman. The agreement is for a five-year deal worth more than €5 million net per season, plus bonuses, which will rise over time.

The deal for Chiesa will cost Juventus over €60 million, the report continues. Fiorentina are hoping that either Inter or Manchester United will make an offer for the player, as they don’t want to sell him to their rivals. That would also require an agreement with Chiesa, which could be an issue.

However, both Newcastle and Manchester United would like to sign the player. Newcastle are planning to revolutionize their squad, the report continues, with former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri on the bench.

Italy Coach Roberto Mancini: “If Inter Beat Sampdoria They Are Right Back In The Title Race”

Italy coach Roberto Mancini discussed the ongoing Coronavirus emergency, Serie A and Inter in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

“I hope that we can return to normal life soon and that this dramatic situation will become only a memory, even if it’s historically bad one. By living freely, I mean the freedom to act, to think, to have social relationships and also to play sports.”

He highlighted how the Coronavirus pandemic has been incredibly damaging to Italy.

“And I repeat that a more terrible event could not have happened to us. We could say it’s a massacre, like a war, as they say. Terrible, indeed.”

Mancini touched on the effects of the Coronavirus situation on football in the country.

“Health comes first of all but I understand that the world of sport has not been affected by the coronavirus. We can count the cases easily, especially at a high level. 20 players in Serie A? I don’t get it, if we exclude doctors, chaperones and staff. What about the second division and Serie C? How many cases have been reported? If I look at the worldwide activity, it doesn’t seem to me that the numbers are increasing, on the contrary. In my opinion, contact sports are not dangerous, at least if you look at the numbers.”

The Italy coach believes that sport should be restarted soon in order to lift people’s spirits.

“That’s why I hope they reopen the sporting world. And I don’t say this selfishly, for reasons of money or interest. The European Championships will be played in a year’s time and I will have to start studying again. I say this as a simple citizen. Sport has a social value, of togetherness. If it starts again, it will help the country from a psychological point of view. Positive emotions help.”

He also highlighted how important football is to the economy in Italy.

“Yes, if we collapse it will be more difficult for everyone.”

Mancini didn’t think that life would be completely different after the Coronavirus has been beaten.

“I don’t like that theory. Who says so? Who supports it and why? On what basis do they tell us we’ll be different? I think that we should be different, but from a human and behavioral point of view. All of us should be more honest and supportive, okay, but then life must return to normal. From tragedy, let’s build a better world.”

The former Inter and Manchester City coach didn’t want to compare the safety of going to the supermarket compared to playing football.

“I don’t want to make comparisons because it wouldn’t be fair. I think football can resume. The football pitches are a hundred meters long, there is enough space, many clubs also have many different grounds and changing rooms. Let’s start playing football again and you’ll see that it will help the country.”

Finally, Mancini spoke about the remaining Serie A games and the favourites for the league title.

“It will become unfeasible, because it’s a mini tournament. Juve, who are the strongest team ever, and Lazio are the favourites, of course, but be careful because certain point gaps can easily be cancelled out by a slip. If Inter beat Sampdoria in the game that was postponed, they’ll be back in the running for the title. And watch out for Atalanta if they start from where they left off. No one can feel safe or stronger than the others.”

The Italian government has suggested that teams can look to return to training on the 4th of May, allowing for the season to restart at the end of next month.

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni may benefit from the delay to Euro 2020 as he looks to earn a place in the Italy squad, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 20-year-old Italian defender, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, has managed to earn a spot in the Inter squad this season under coach Antonio Conte. Bastoni has even started ahead of Uruguayan veteran Diego Godin, the report continues, showing his strengths and Conte’s belief in his potential. The 20-year-old has not made his Italy debut yet, but the delay to Euro 2020 means that he can continue to grow and establish himself over the next 12 months, proving to coach Roberto Mancini that he should be part of the Azzurri squad.

Italian Report Highlights Difficulties Adapting Christian Eriksen Has Had At Inter Since Signing From Tottenham

A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted the difficulties that Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen is experiencing at Inter.

The report details how Inter coach Antonio Conte wanted to sign Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal in January, but eventually settling for the former Spurs midfielder at the end of the month. The two players are not similar, as the Chilean is strong in the mezzala role, whereas Eriksen functions better as a trequartista.

Eriksen’s intensity and physical condition need to improve, the report continues, if he is to settle in Milan and become a core part of Conte’s system. The former Juventus and Chelsea coach is an expert of fitting players into his system, with examples being French midfielder Paul Pogba and Vidal at Juventus.

The 28-year-old Dane has made eight appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Nerazzurri. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
