Juventus may still look to sign Inter owned forward Mauro Icardi in the summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Old Lady’s top transfer target is Tottenham talisman Harry Kane. The 26-year-old Englishman has been specifically highlighted by Juventus CEO Fabio Paratici, but Juve know that the player would only be sold by Spurs for a deal worth over €100 million.

The Bianconeri are therefore looking for alternative options, with the next best being Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus and Inter owned forward Mauro Icardi.

Juventus are hoping that Paris Saint Germain will activate the €70 million buy option attached to Icardi, the report continues, as they would rather negotiate with the French club than with rivals Inter, who are unlikely to give them a good deal.

The 27-year-old Argentine striker has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists.

Barcelona may look to focus on signing Brazilian star Neymar in the summer instead of signing Inter star Lautaro Martinez, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Former Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell, suggested that club star Lionel Messi wants to bring Neymar back to Catalonia, which could push the Blaugrana into making a deal with Paris Saint Germain for the Brazilian, the report details.

Rosell revealed, “Messi wants Neymar back with him. And the reason is simple. Leo is the best player in history and he’s a very intelligent player, that’s why he wants other stars with him so he can win everything.”

Messi, Neymar and Inter forward Alexis Sanchez continue to have a WhatsApp chat together, the report continues, showing the friendship between the group. If the Catalan club do look to sign the 28-year-old Brazilian in the summer, then they would not be able to secure the signature of Lautaro.

Neymar has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1906 minutes. In that time, he has scored 18 goals and provided ten assists.

Barcelona midfielder Arthur discussed Inter’s interest in him in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“For any player, it is a source of pride that his name is linked with a club as important and known worldwide as Inter, a club with a great coach and an impressive squad.”

The 23-year-old Brazilian, who is contracted to the Blaugrana until 2024, revealed that he is only thinking about the Catalan club and already has a plan for his future.

“But that said, the thoughts that I have in my mind now are only for Barcelona. I feel very good both in the team and in the city and honestly I continue to see myself playing for the Blaugrana for many years.”

Inter are looking to strengthen their midfield in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Arthur being one of many options the Nerazzurri are considering. The Milanese club’s top choice is Arthur’s teammate, Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal. Either player could be involved in the deal for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

Arthur has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1362 minutes. In that time, he has scored four goals and provided four assists. The 23-year-old has struggled with pelvis injuries this season and has only played the full 90 minutes of a match in the league four times.

Inter vice president Javier Zanetti discussed his retirement from football and the strongest players that he’d ever played with in an interview with former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso on Instagram. His words were noted by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

“I wanted to be the one to decide when to stop and it had to happen when I would be fit. I didn’t want people to have any bad memories of me. When I broke my Achilles tendon, I went back on the pitch and you hugged me in the locker room. There I understood that I could continue, but also that maybe it would be better to stop at the end of the season.”

The 46-year-old Argentinian then discussed the strongest players that he’d ever played with in his career.

“Ronaldo came from Barça and he was impressive, but if I have to say a name, I’d say Roberto Baggio, for his balance between quality and passion. I have great admiration for him, as everyone has always had for him.”

Zanetti spent 19 years with the Nerazzurri after joining the club from Banfield in 1995. The Argentine defender would go on to make 860 appearances for the Milanese club across all competitions, for a total of 73,863 minutes. In that time, he scored 21 goals, provided 16 assists and quickly became a fan favourite.

The player was instrumental for Inter and helped the club win five league titles, four Coppa Italia, four Supercoppa Italiana, a Champions League, a UEFA Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup. Zanetti now works as the Milanese club’s vice president and works closely with president Steven Zhang.

Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is expected to arrive in Milan next week, after remaining in Chile to manage some personal matters, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.

The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean forward, who is on a season-long loan from Premier League side Manchester United, left Italy later than his teammates, in agreement with the Nerazzurri’s management. The player has remained in Chile for a little longer than his teammates as a result, sorting out personal matters and carrying out his quarantine at home.

Once Sanchez returns to Italy, the report continues, the player will have to undergo a quarantine again. Inter are on the verge of signing Napoli’s Belgian striker Dies Mertens on a free transfer when his contract with the Partenopei expires at the end of this June, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset late last night.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have offered Mertens a two year contract with an option for a third season, worth around €6 million net per year.

Inter highlighted the vital work of their non-profit social project Inter Campus and continued partnership with UEFA in a post on their Instagram page yesterday.

The Nerazzurri started the project in 1996, with club president Massimo Moratti hoping that it would provide assistance to children around the world through youth football training camps. The project has been active in 22 countries across the world and has been widely praised. The UEFA Foundation will continue working with Inter Campus for another two years.
