Inter & Torino Could Do As Many As 3 Deals Between Them In The Transfer Window

Inter and Torino could conduct a number of transfer dealings between themselves in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The first player who could be transferred is Andrea Pinamonti. The young Italian striker is currently on the books of Genoa but Inter have a gentleman’s agreement to re-sign him in the Summer.

Pinamonti may not stick around at Inter though and could end up at the Granata, who are looking to bring a young striker to partner Andrea Belotti in attack.

Pinamonti might not be the only player that Torino bring in from the Nerazzurri with the report stating that they could also bring in goalkeeper Ionut Andrei Radu who could be back-up to Salvatore Sirigu with a view to succeeding him eventually or he may succeed him right away given Sirigu’s future with Torino is uncertain.

The final player who could be transferred is Armando Izzo from Torino to Inter, who Inter manager Antonio Conte is a big fan of.

Ex-Inter Midfielder Mudingayi: “I Was Lucky To Arrive At Inter When I Did, Zanetti Impressed Me”

In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, former Inter midfielder Gaby Mudingayi has recalled what it felt like for him when he joined the club.

“I was lucky enough to arrive in Milan after the treble with many great players still there, training with them was a pleasure. Learning from these champions was beautiful,” Mudingayi remarked in the interview which took place via Di Marzio’s Instagram.

“I was welcomed by people like Zanetti, Samuel, Cambiasso and Sneijder, they made me feel at ease immediately and I couldn’t wait to go train with them.”

The former Belgian national team midfielder then went on to speak about which players impressed him most at Inter upon joining.

“Everyone, but especially Zanetti. He was someone who had won everything, seeing how he trained was impressive. If we are talking about the strongest from a technical level, the strongest I have played with is Sneijder but Cassano and Coutinho were devastating as well as Kovacic.”

He then went on to speak further about Coutinho and admits he could see that the Brazilian was going to turn out to be an excellent player in the future.

“In training he was very talented, he did the most difficult things with great simplicity. You could see that he was strong. In those days he was a little shy and in my opinion he was unable to express himself like he then done when he left.

“I think Inter didn’t bet on Coutinho because he did not see him ready immediately, but technically it was clear that he was going to be an excellent player in the future.”

Mudingayi, who retired from playing in 2017 after a spell with Pisa, joined Inter in a loan with option to buy deal from Bologna ahead of the 2012/13 season and was bought for €750,000 the following Summer.

Mudingayi’s time with Inter was full of injuries and as a result he was only able to make 17 appearances across all competitions.

Serie A clubs will miss out upon a combined €160 million in revenue when it comes to television rights due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic according to a report in today’s print edition of La Repubblica.

Sky Sport Italia and DAZN, who are Serie A’s two main broadcasters who pay out a combined €973 million of the €1.4 billion deal between them, have already paid out 85% of money for this season, despite the fact only 68% of games had been played prior to the season coming to a halt due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Lega Serie A and the broadcasters could soon hold negotiations and it is possible that Sky Sport Italia and DAZN could be given a discount next season in terms of how much they must pay.

Beppe Bergomi: “It’s Difficult To Understand How Inter Will Return If The Season Resumes”

Inter legend Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi has admitted to being unsure what kind of shape the Inter players will return in and how they will do if the football season is to resume.

Football has now been on hold for over a month due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and the aim for teams to return from training beginning May 4 with a view to then starting to play against the end of the month if not the start of the following month.

“The boys will have been standing still for two months, they have only worked at home. It is difficult to understand how they will return because they will have little time to prepare,” he remarked in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia earlier on today.

The former defender, who spent his entire playing career for Inter and was the all-time record appearance holder until Javier Zanetti surpassed him, then went on to discuss Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be linked with a move away from Inter to Barcelona.

“I would always keep him, I think he is growing and has the best years of his career ahead of him. If he was to leave, I would like Inter to go in for Timo Werner.”

As part of the interview the former Italian national team player also spoke briefly on the Milan derby: “The derby was the game that I suffered most for but the one I liked to play the most.”

FIGC President Gravina: “I Hope Teams Can Resume Training On May 4th”

Gabriele Gravina, the president of the Italian football federation (FIGC), has confirmed that the aim is to get back to playing football at the end of May or early June.

Football at all levels across the country has been on hold for over a month now due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and Gravina has hit out at people who are calling for the season to be cancelled.

“It is a complex moment for our country, for the economy and for football which is one of the most important industries,” he remarked in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Rai 1 show ‘Un giorno da pecora’ earlier on today.

“With a sense of responsibility, availability and common sense we will find the right way. Those who call for the cancellation of the season do not love neither football nor the Italians and are taking away the hope of the future and restart.”

Gravina then went on to reveal he hopes that teams will be able to make a return to training at the beginning of next month with a view to then resuming playing at the end of the month if not just after it.

“I share the hope of the sports minister Spadafora to be able to start again on 4 May, with all due caution and guarantees.

“We have developed a health protocol that tomorrow we will deliver tomorrow to Spadafora and to the minister of health.

“There will be a period of control to ensure the negativity of all those who participate in the events. If they are all negative there is no danger. It will take three weeks of safety, so in late May and early June teams can get back to playing.”

He then went on give clarity with regard to what has been reported in the media regarding a fall out between FIGC and Italian Olympic Committee president Giovanni Malago.

“What the newspapers reported is not a piece of my phone call with the president of the CONI Giovanni Malago that was very confidential.

“We clarified things, because the president perhaps was not aware of the activity we are carrying out and the critical issues that we would encounter if I had to unplug the championship.”

FIFA Vice President Montagliani: “A Priority To Finish The Season? Health & Safety Are The Priorities”

World football’s governing body FIFA vice president Victor Montagliani, who is heading the commission tasked with changing football’s rules due to the global Coronavirus pandemic had admitted it is a difficult process.

“It is very difficult to give common rules to very different realities. We have created a guide to keep the bar straight in this storm and reiterated that FIFA is attentive to every need of the federations,” he told Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

He then spoke on the continued disputes across the globe relating to the reduction or suspension of player salaries due to the crisis.

There has is particularly big dispute in Italy that is still going on whilst in other countries players have agreed to cuts of as much as 30%.

“Disputes over wages? As always there is arbitration of FIFA which is crucial to ensure compliance with the rules. But we hope, especially at a time like this, that responsibility will prevail between the parties and that agreements will be reached between the clubs and the players.”

Montagliani then went on to discuss the transfer window and appeared to rule out the possibility of the transfer window lasting longer than normal.

“There will be a limit of 16 weeks for the transfer market. We need to respect the fans. If the market was continuous they would no longer know which player played for which team. It would become unmanageable even on a technical level.”

He was then asked whether FIFA are prioritising seasons finishing.

“Is it a priority to end the season? No. The priorities are health and safety. Health experts and governments must determine the times and ways of recovery. As for the national teams and the international breaks in September and October, the situation will be assessed week after week.”

Montagliani, who is also the president of north American, central American and Caribbean football’s governing body CONCACAF, the went on to conclude by discussing the likely economic repercussions of the virus and shared his hopes that football could be improved as a result.

“Unfortunately, we now know the data. It will be a global economic crisis and football is a reflection of the economy. I will tell you one thing. Football will not change on the field, there will always be eleven against eleven and there is no discussion about that. Maybe it will change off the field though and I hope we will be able to improve it.”
