Photo – Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez: “A Different Easter, But Soon We Will Return To Our Normal Lives”

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez celebrated Easter with a post on his Instagram page yesterday.

The 22-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, has been at the centre of transfer market discussions in recent weeks, as Barcelona look to sign the player to replace the aging Luis Suarez. The Blaugrana have reportedly offered Lautaro a five-year contract worth €10 million a season plus bonuses.

Lautaro posted a photo of himself and his family alongside the caption: “Today is a ‘special’ Easter, different. But there is less and less time until we return to our normal lives, to our daily lives. Let’s continue to respect the rules and regulations established by the authorities.”

Italian Report Suggests Lautaro Martinez Wants Barcelona Move But Wont Force A Transfer From Inter

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’ agents have received a huge contract offer from Spanish giants Barcelona but aren’t going to force a move away from the Nerazzurri, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.

The report details how the Blaugrana have offered Lautaro a five-year contract worth €10 million net per season plus bonuses, which he has already accepted. Beto Yaque, however, has no interest in attempting to force a deal to take place, as he understands the wishes of the 22-year-old Argentinian international striker is to leave the Nerazzurri on good terms.

If Barcelona can’t sell enough players to raise funds for the deal, the report continues, they may not be able to pay his €111 million release clause. Inter aren’t interested in the suggested formula of €70 million plus two players in exchange, instead asking for cash only.

There are no offers from England, the report highlights, as both Manchester City and Chelsea don’t have the funds to spend on the player. Lautaro and his entourage do consider Inter’s new contract offer worth €4.5 million net per season to be a little low, compared to the figures offered by Barcelona.

Ex-Juventus Striker Alessandro Del Piero: “There Are No Favourites In The Title Race Between Inter, Juve & Lazio”

Former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero discussed the current Serie A season and Argentine forward Paulo Dybala’s goal against the Nerazzurri in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I don’t think we needed that goal to overcome a moment that I think Paulo had already put behind him. One thing is certain, numbers like that show he’s a player with extraordinary qualities. Such a beautiful goal should give him more awareness. And I’ll go further. Those who have his means, his talent and even his head, must do even more. Paulo must not set himself limits and must conquer the future.”

He then touched on how you must always work hard and not get complacent.

“Nobody gives you anything, I say that from experience. To Juve more than ever. You have to prove everything until the last game, let alone in the middle of your career. Dybala’s path has just begun and it will be even more beautiful, always wearing the Juve shirt of course.”

Del Piero doesn’t think that there are any favourites in the title race at this current point in the season.

“Absolutely not, no favourites. Juve are a bit ahead for absolute quality. But nothing is taken for granted.”

The former Bianconeri forward believed that it was better to finish the season instead of cancelling it.

“I can’t give a judgement, as I don’t think anyone can, because we have to analyse the facts and above all the health conditions. But sportively it’s better to finish the season, wait for the verdict on the pitch. Everything else is a thing to be avoided as long as it is possible.”

Del Piero discussed what the priorities should be for when the season restarts and the importance of playing again.

“The priority is always the health of everyone, so we need the highest level of safety. But the second priority must be to restart to deal with the other emergency, that of the economy, of jobs. I believe that all this must also be considered when we talk about the future of professional sport. I do not like the populist speeches of those who almost criminalise those who are trying to get us back on track. That’s why I say that when you get the okay from the doctors it will be right to go back to the game, at first of course behind closed doors.”

He then defended those who are working to restart the league and highlighted why their work is important.

“And so, what we can do today is to continue working, studying the formulas of the leagues, the calendars. This doesn’t just mean going back to a life that is at least more normal, but above all thinking about how to restart a movement that gives work to so many people. I believe that this does not mean absolutely no disrespect for the real priority, which is health. There is concern for the future in all fields, obviously also for football in general, not just for Serie A. I am also thinking of the lower leagues.”

The former Bianconeri star highlighted how this period can help improve Italian football as a whole.

“This is precisely the time to triple our strength, to start again and to really change. I don’t know what will happen, but I know you can’t hide anymore. You can only come out of it as a system, it’s impossible to think that only a part has to leave us something. I think I know what should no longer be part of our future, that is, the logic that looks only at the present, without entrepreneurial perspective, without vision.”

Finally, Del Piero spoke about how people must come together to help find a solution.

“Everyone today has to do their part, if it helps then also us ex-players, those who have something to say or propose for the good of our sport. Obviously because they deserve it, and not for past merits.”

Italian Report Claims Inter Interested In Signing Man United’s Paul Pogba

Inter are still looking to sign a new midfielder in the summer, with two names being the most exciting at the moment, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s management are still looking to strengthen the midfield department in the upcoming summer transfer window, despite the quality already in the department, which features Christian Eriksen, Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic, as well as Matias Vecino.

One option is still Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal, the report continues, a player much appreciated by the former Juventus coach. Another idea is Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, which is expected to be a tough deal but the player pleases practically the entire management at the club.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to find these important acquisitions by selling the many players who are currently out on loan, such as Mauro Icardi, Ivan Perisic, Joao Mario and Radja Nainggolan.

Inter Striker Romelu Lukaku: “Lautaro Martinez Is Fantastic, I Adore Him”

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku spoke to his followers on Instagram earlier today, talking about his career and his teammates and whatever other questions were put to him by the fans, with his answers reported by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The report details how Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic teased his teammate, calling him ugly, to which the 26-year-old Belgian strike replied: “Marcelo, you’re uglier than me, with that hair you look like a porn star. And I don’t like you, so come back with the same hair as before!”

The former Manchester United midfielder spoke positively about Argentine striker and attacking partner Lautaro Martinez.

“He’s fantastic, even as a youngster. He’s growing up a lot and I’m happy to play with him, I adore him.”

He then touched on the differences between the Premier League and Serie A.

“I think Serie A is good, but there’s a different intensity to Premier League, we take more care of tactical details. But both are beautiful, only each with its own particularities and differences. And I love both Italy and England, both countries have been very welcoming to me.”

Finally, Lukaku confirmed that he has few doubts about being with the Nerazzurri, after a fan suggested that he could leave.

“Leaving Inter? You’re crazy, absolutely not!”

The 26-year-old Belgian striker, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2024, has made 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2904 minutes. In that time, he has scored 23 goals and provided five assists, shining under the guidance of coach Antonio Conte.

Inter Captain Samir Handanovic Close To Extending His Contract With The Nerazzurri

Inter captain Samir Handanovic is close to signing a contract renewal with the Nerazzurri that will tie him to the club until 2022, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 35-year-old Slovenian shot stopper is set to have an extra year added onto his contract, by which time he will be almost 38 years old. The player has been crucial for coach Antonio Conte this season and he was sorely missed after suffering a hairline fracture in his left little finger earlier in the season.

The Nerazzurri have been looking for a player to replace Handanovic once the player retires or leaves the club, the report continues, but for now the Inter captain is still set to be the club’s number one.

He has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2700 minutes. In that time, he has conceded 31 goals and kept eight clean sheets.

Agent Of Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez Beto Yaque Clarifies That Sergio Zarate Is Not Lautaro’s Agent

The agent of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’ Beto Yaque has confirmed that Sergio Zarate is not the 22-year-old’s agent when speaking to Italian media outlet with SOS Fanta earlier today.

The report details how Yaque clarified that the statements of Sergio Zarate are statements that have come from a person who is close to the Argentinian international striker Lautaro for a long time, but that he is not his agent, a role only held by Yaque and Rolando Zarate, his brother.

An interview that Sergio Zarate did earlier today misreported that he was the player’s agent. During the interview Sergio suggested that Lautaro would “definitely go to play in Spain”, the report continues, with the player’s future being unclear amidst a cloud of rumors.

Barcelona have been interested in signing the 22-year-old for some time now, believing that he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez.

Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.

Brother Of Lautaro Martinez Agent: “Lautaro Will Definitively Leave Inter, Big Chance He Goes To Barcelona”

Sergio Zarate, who is the brother of former Inter star Mauro Zarate and Rolando Zarate who is Lautaro Martinez’ agent, discussed the future of the 22-year-old Nerazzurri striker in an interview with Argentine broadcaster Fox Sports earlier today.

“Lautaro is now playing for Inter but believe me, he will definitely go and play in Spain. Barcelona? There’s a great chance this could happen.

“He’s a great player, he has no limits. In the end the player will decide, but the fact that Lionel Messi is there may make him want to go and play alongside the greatest of them all.”

Zarate also responded to the statement made recently by Inter vice president Javier Zanetti, who suggested that he believes that the player will remain with the Milanese club.

“Inter may want everything they want, but the transfer market itself is in charge of what happens. And the giants of Europe, when they want a player, do everything to get one.”

Lautaro, who is contracted to Inter until 2023, has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists, shining under the guidance of coach Antonio Conte.

Barcelona have long been chasing the signature of the 22-year-old Argentine striker, following him since his time at Argentinian club Racing. The Catalan side believe that he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez, who is currently out with a serious injury.

Ex-Nerazzurri Attacker Ricky Alvarez: “Gasperini Tried To Change Too Much At Inter”

Former Inter forward Ricky Alvarez discussed his experiences at Inter and his return to Argentina in an interview with Italian media outlet FcInter1908.it today.

“I fulfilled a dream I had as a child. Anyone who starts playing football has the goal of joining a team like Inter, I’ve succeeded.”

He then discussed how he is doing considering the ongoing Coronavirus emergency.

“It’s a peculiar time. Here in Argentina we were lucky enough to see what happened in Italy and beyond. The country has made some decisions in advance. We are locked in the house and I train and spend a lot of time with my family. I like being with my son and my wife. She is pregnant and we are waiting for the second child. We are happy and we spend time together.”

The 31-year-old Argentinian revealed what the Nerazzurri represents to him.

“It was a great experience for me. Three years I had a great time. Beyond the results and a not ideal situation, it was a period of great growth. I played with great players. When I think of Inter, I have a wonderful memory, it was a really important experience in my career.”

Alvarez spoke about the Inter players that he bonded with most.

“When I arrived, there were so many players who had won the Treble. For me it was a dream to play with them. There were also a lot of Argentinians and it was much easier for me. They were older than me and they helped me to settle in and get to know cities and clubs. I grew up a lot with them, with a lot of advice especially on the field. I think about Zanetti, Cambiasso, Samuel, Milito. Then came Forlan, Zarate, Palacio, Icardi.”

The 32-year-old highlighted the players that inspired him most.

“I have to name four names, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Samuel and Milito. For what they represent for Inter and for the world of football, their humility and their way of doing things are an example for me, in a very particular and very difficult environment.”

He spoke about the reports that, during his first season with the Nerazzurri, there was a divided dressing room under coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

“When I arrived, there was no problem in the locker room. There were a lot of important, experienced players who had won a lot. When I arrived, I found a cohesive environment, everyone together and a good group. With Gasperini it wasn’t a good time, he wanted to change everything, from the way he played to many other things. For such an important team with top-level players it’s not easy. In football everything can change, in that period there were no results and now at Atalanta he’s doing very well. He’s a great coach, he’s done very well for many years. I think it was a question of ‘bad timing’ for him at Inter.”

Alvarez touched on the ‘not ideal’ situation.

“Moratti, who was a great president for me, started thinking about selling the club and then sold it. At a time like this it’s not easy, with so many changes you have to get used to. It wasn’t the best period at a corporate level.”

He touched on the situation of Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi.

“Mauro is a great striker. He’s done very well at Inter since he arrived. We talk a lot about his private life but he’s always been focused on the pitch and I think that was the most important thing.”

Alvarez couldn’t predict what would happen to Icardi in the future.

“I don’t know what happened with Inter last year, so I don’t know what’s going to happen. If he can agree to go to Juve? I don’t know, I’m not in his head.”

He touched on his departure from Inter in 2014.

“After the World Cup in Brazil, the possibility to play in the Premier League came up and I accepted. Mancini? When I decided there was still Mazzarri. I didn’t have the chance to meet him and talk to him.”

The 32-year-old didn’t think that Barcelona star Lionel Messi would join Inter in the future.

“I think it’s impossible. He is considered a ‘god’ in Barcelona and I think he will end his career there. In football you never know, but I don’t think he’ll leave Barcelona.”

Alvarez then touched on Inter striker and Barcelona target Lautaro Martinez.

“He’s a great player. He’s doing very well at Inter and it’s normal that offers like Barcelona’s can come in. I think he is doing very well at Inter and it will be a difficult decision. He knows he’s doing well at Inter, he’s an important player and he can make a difference there, with Barcelona you have to play for a spot and win the starts.”

He spoke about Inter target Thiago Almada, who is also playing for Velez.

“Thiago is a great player. He’s very young but already has a great personality. That’s a very important thing. He’s very technical. He’s got the future in his hands and there will certainly be offers for him from a lot of teams. He needs to grow further but you can see he’s very strong. I hope he can have a great career.”

Alvarez discussed another player that Inter have been linked with in Argentina, Lucas Martinez Quarta.

“I’ve seen him play and he’s a great defender. He’s doing very well and we’re talking about the interest of many teams. In the last few years River Plate have been doing very well and they’ve been showing off the players in the squad.”

Finally, Alvarez spoke about what will happen in his future.

“I still don’t know what, but I would certainly like to continue in the world of football. It’s something I’ve been doing for many years and you feel you can continue to do it in another role. I don’t know which one, but I’ll take time to prepare myself well. When I decide to do it, I’ll only do it after I’ve trained well.”
