Barcelona Deem Inter Linked Arthur To Be Indispensable

Arthur will not be included in any offer Barcelona submit to Inter for striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona have identified Lautaro as one of, if not their top transfer target ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window and it has been widely reported that they want to do a player(s) plus cash deal for him rather than pay his €111 million release clause.

There has been a whole array of players mentioned in the media who could potentially be included in any such deal with Arthur’s among them but Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona deem him to be indispensable.

The 23-year-old, who is under contract with Barcelona until the end of the 2023/24 season, has also drawn links to Paris Saint Germain lately.

This season the former Gremio player has made 23 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided as many assists.

Inter Linked Ivan Rakitic: “I’m Not A Sack Of Potatoes, I Will Decide My Future”

In an interview with Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has spoken on the recent media speculation surrounding his future.

Reports have suggested that Rakitic could be sold in the coming months due to the fact he will have around a year left on his current contract and Barcelona do not want to give him a new contract nor do they want to lose him for nothing.

The Croatian, who was part of the Croatia team who finished as runners up at the 2018 World Cup, has drawn links to Inter, AC Milan and Sevilla in particular.

“My name has been linked with other teams not only now but for two years. As I have always said, Barca is the perfect place to play,” he explained in the interview.

“What I want is to have fun and help the team. I had a very strange first half of the season. It was very uncomfortable and surprising for me, but I have to learn different things and improve things.”

He then went on to share his desire to see out the remainder of his contract with the Blaugrana, who he has played for since the Summer of 2017.

“Sometimes things happen that you don’t understand, but you should not understand but accept them. I hope I can see out my contract.

“If it is not so, we will sit down but now the most important thing is to finish the season in the best possible way then we will analyse everything, but my idea is to finish my contract.”

The 32-year-old then went on to insist that he will ultimately decide his future.

“I am not a sack of potatoes. I will decide my future. I want to be where I am valued. If it is here, I’ll be delighted, and if not, it will be where I decide.”

In conclusion, he spoke on the links regarding a possible return to Sevilla and admitted they are a club who mean a lot to him.

“I have a special affection for Sevilla and for the city, I have my family there. I have always said it would be a great dream to wear that shirt again, everyone knows it, but it’s not my decision, whether I want it or not, there are several things behind it.

“Monchi and everyone in Seville has my phone number, they haven’t called me yet. What I think about Sevilla is well known.”

Cagliari Will Only Be Able To Loan Nainggolan Again & Will Need Inter To Help Out

Cagliari will only be able to sign Radja Nainggolan on loan again and will need a helping hand from Inter to allow them to do so according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The 31-year-old Belgian midfielder is currently on loan at the Sardinian club and reports have suggested that they would like to keep a hold of him but a permanent move seems impossible due to the finances involved.

Inter value Nainggolan at €18 million and his annual €4.6 million wages are simply too much for Cagliari to pay therefore in order to loan him again they would need Inter to agree to pay possibly as much as half of his wages.

Nainggolan wishes to continue playing his football in Serie A and the report goes on to state that Inter could possibly do a swap deal with city rivals AC Milan involving him, although it would appear to be dependent on AC Milan’s current management team remaining as is for this to happen.

Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti: “Playing Against Totti & Del Piero Was Always Difficult”

Inter vice president Javier Zanetti discussed the lessons that he has learned from sport and opponents that gave him trouble in his playing career in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia yesterday

“What has sport taught us? The most important thing is team spirit, which is fundamental in everyday life as this historical moment is also demonstrating.”

He then gave advice to young players about what makes a great captain.

“First of all, you have to be yourself, then you need respect and loyalty to those close to you.”

Finally, Zanetti spoke about Roma legend Francesco Totti and former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero.

“How to stop them? It was difficult, they had so much quality. At any moment they could invent a play, we faced each other for twenty years and it was always complicated.”

Serie A, like most other leagues around Europe, has been fully postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus emergency, which has caused many countries around Europe to go into a total lockdown, including Italy. The Italian government have suggested that teams can prepare for a return to training on 4th May, assuming that the medical conditions allow for it.

The assumption now is that Serie A could be restarted at the end of May, with the games set to be played every few days behind closed doors, in order to fully protect the players and staff, as well as the general public.

Italian Report Claims Antonio Conte Has Decided To Build Inter’s Defence Around Bastoni, Skriniar & De Vrij

Inter coach Antonio Conte is certain on the three defenders that will be the core of the side’s defense, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach will rely on Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar, Dutch center back Stefan de Vrij and Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni.

These three players are considered the future of the club’s defense, having a mixture of experience and youth. The former Chelsea and Italy coach tinkered with the club’s back line all season, but results showed that former Atletico Madrid veteran Diego Godin struggled to adapt to a three-man defense.

Bastoni has been one of the surprises of the season, the report continues. The 20-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, managed to work his way into the first team after a slow start to the season, quickly becoming preferred over Godin for the big games.

FIFA Chief Legal Officer Silvero: “Transfer Window Will Not Open In July, Contracts Expiring In June Can’t Be Extended”

FIFA Chief Legal Officer Emilio García Silvero has stated that contracts expiring on the 30th June will not be extended when speaking to the TV show Playtime according to a report in Italian media outlet PassioneInter.

“On the 1st July, the transfer market will not open. Contracts expiring on the 30th June cannot be extended. The players on loan will return to their teams but will not be able to take to the pitch.”

He then detailed how players will not be able to play when they return to their clubs, despite being forced to return.

“FIFA cannot extend contracts beyond the 30th June, but the transfer windows will not be the same as before and therefore players cannot be registered. The players on loan will return to the teams that hold the transfer cards, but they will still not be able to take to the pitch as the market will be closed.”

Finally, García Silvero discussed one potential idea regarding future transfer windows.

“There could be more market windows. It will depend on the beginning and the end of each competition. The idea is that the windows will end just before the start of each league and will not have to coincide.”

The Coronavirus pandemic has forced Serie A, like most other leagues across the world, to be stopped, in order to protect the safety of the general public and all those in the footballing world.

Many were expecting FIFA to extend contracts past the 30th June, so that players who are out on loan could finish the season with their respective clubs. This statement has confirmed now that any players out on loan will have to return to their parent club, being unable to finish the season with either side, should the leagues extend past the end of June.
