Italian Report Claims Inter Midfielder Eriksen Needs To Do 3 Things To Get Better

Christian Eriksen needs to do three things to improve himself and kick start his Inter career according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Eriksen joined the club in a €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window but has so far failed to live up to expectations and has taken quite some time to adapt to his new surroundings.

The first thing Gazzetta believe the Danish national team midfielder must do is improve his fitness to the levels he was at at Spurs prior to his condition worsening near the end of his spell when he found himself in and out of the team.

Secondly, Eriksen must change the approach he has so far had with Italian football and and finally he must learn all the secrets behind being the perfect mezzala in a 3-5-2 system as Inter manager Antonio Conte will not be changing from his tried and tested system.

Barcelona Will Give Inter Chance To Choose Players As Part Of Deal For Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona will give Inter the chance to choose from a group of five players with Inter’s selection(s) forming part of a deal that would send Lautaro Martinez to the Blaugrana according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Barcelona are long term admirers of the 22-year-old striker but it has been widely reported that they do not want to pay his €111 million release clause and they are instead looking at carrying out a player(s) plus cash deal for the Argentine national team forward.

As per the report, Barcelona are ready to give Inter the option to chose one or two between Arturo Vidal, Nelson Semedo, Arthur, Carles Alena and Jean-Clair Todibo to have as part of the deal.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea are both also keeping a close eye on Lautaro and could both also make moves for him in the coming months.

Serie A Could Resume At End Of May Or Start Of June

Serie A could resume near the end of May or the beginning of June according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The season could resume on May 20, 23 or 30 or June 6. In order to conclude the season by the start of August teams will have to play games almost every three days and that is only as far as the league is concerned.

Given the height of the pandemic across Europe it is particularly difficult to plan ways that both the Champions League and Europa League can finish.

The report states that the format of the continental club competitions could well be changed to help them get finished and one such way could be to play a final eight style tournament.

In order for any more Champions League or Europa League football to be played, two things are required. The medical emergency needs to be over everywhere and travel between countries must be allowed too.

Inter Defender Alessandro Bastoni: “Inter Is My Home”

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni held a brief question and answer session on his official Instagram profile and professed his love for Inter during it.

The 20-year-old defender is having his breakthrough season with the club and has impressed many with the composure he has shown and performances he has put in for someone so young.

“I’ve always said it, it’s a dream come true for me to wear this shirt. I bonded with all my teammates quickly, my current roommate is Skriniar. Inter is my home,” he said.

Bastoni joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A side Atalanta and plenty of eyebrows were raised when it came out that Inter had paid €31 million for him. Inter loaned him back to the Bergamo club for the 2017/18 season and he also spent the 2018/19 season out on loan at Parma.

This season for Inter Bastoni has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date. In 1330 minutes on the field, the Italian youth national team player, has contributed a single goal and he has helped Inter to keep a total of two clean sheets in that time.

Inter Could Loan Youngster Lucien Agoume Out Next Season

Inter could loan Lucien Agoume out next season to help him develop as a player according to a report from the online edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The highly rated French youngster joined Inter this past Summer from French club Sochaux and he has spent this season with Inter’s Primavera side.

The 18-year-old, who has been compared to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba by many, is a regular on the bench for the first team but unlike fellow youngsters Sebastiano Esposito and Alessandro Bastoni, he has not played all that much this term.

Agoume got a taste of first team action during pre-season and was also given his competitive first team debut in the shape of a cameo appearance in the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in the middle of December.

The report goes on to state that he could be loaned out next season, possibly to another Italian club, and that Inter are very convinced about him being a talented player.

Cagliari President Giulini: “If The Conditions Are There, We’ll Try To Sign Nainggolan Permanently From Inter”

Tommaso Giulini, the president of Cagliari, has confirmed that the club will try to sign Radja Nainggolan on a permanent basis from Inter if the conditions are there for them to do so.

Nainggolan returned to the Sardinian club on a season long loan this past Summer and has found his best form again at the Rossoblu after a difficult season with Inter last season.

The 31-year-old only joined on a dry loan but Giulini has refused to rule out the possibility of Nainggolan remaining with the club past the end of this season.

“If there are the conditions to make him stay we will try. Radja has shown this year how important he is to the team. It is a very complicated negotiation. With this situation it is difficult to say whether it will stay or not,” he is quoted as saying by Cagliarinews24.com.

This season Nainggolan has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date. In almost 2000 minutes on the field, the former Roma player has scored five goals and he has also provided a total of six assists for his teammates.

Nainggolan joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Roma in a player plus cash deal and he still has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Ruben Sosa: “Inter Was The Best Part Of My Career, Pellegrini’s Wife Thought I Only Joined For The Money”

Former Inter player Ruben Sosa has revealed that former president Ernesto Pellegrini’s wife believed he was only joining Inter for the money based off of the way he wrote his signature.

“Each stage of my career was important, but Inter was the best part of my career and I’m a fan of Inter and I had it in my heart,” he began an interview with Go Play Sports.

“When I signed my contract with Inter we were talking for two hours and my agent and the club president could not agree on the money. So I signed an autograph for the wife of the president, who was Pellegrini at that time.

“He got every player he was going to sign to write their signature so his wife could analyse it. And the way you wrote she could define your personality, and then she would recommend whether or not you would be good or bad for the club.

“For me she said no he’s not a good guy, he’s a horrible person, he only wants the money and he does not make friends.

“I replied by saying to the president that Inter, for me, were the best in the world.

“We proposed that if I scored less than 20 goals the club could pay me the money they wanted, whatever…$100, but if I get more than 20 goals then you have to pay me what my agent wants. I scored 24 and played three years in a row.”

He was then asked if winning the UEFA Cup with Inter in the 1993/94 season was the highlight of his player career to which he responded: “Winning the UEFA Cup with Inter was good, but the highlight of my career was winning the two Copa Americas with Uruguay.”

Sosa joined Inter ahead of the 1992/93 season from fellow Serie A side Lazio where he had spent the four previous years and made a name for himself in Italy.

The Uruguayan would go on to make 104 appearances across all competitions for the club during his time on the books in which he scored 50 goals and provided 10 assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.

He left Inter in the Summer of 1995 and joined Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund where he would spend a single season.

After spells with Logrones, Nacional, Shanghai Shenhua and Racing Montevideo, he called time on his playing career in 2007. He made 362 appearances across his career in which he scored 122 goals and tallied a total of 14 assists.
