Italian Media Report Inter Will Neither Sack Antonio Conte Nor Sign Every Player He Wants

Inter have no intention of dismissing coach Antonio Conte at the end of the season but will also not sign every player he wants, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s management still believe in the Lecce born coach and believe that he is the perfect leader for their new project.

The club understand that they will have to meet some of the former Juventus and Chelsea boss’ demands this summer, signing veterans like Arturo Vidal or Edin Dzeko, players who have a winning mentality and perform in the big games.

However, Inter won’t only focus on signing Conte’s preferred players, the report continues. The club will still focus on their desire to sign younger players with more future potential, but will sign a few veterans to give Conte a few points of reference in the squad.

There won’t be a huge squad overhaul, but instead important signings to strengthen key areas of the squad.

Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic Has Driving License Revoked After Being Caught Drunk Driving

Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has had his driving license revoked after failing an alcohol test whilst driving on Friday evening, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Croatian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until the end of June 2022, was driving his Rolls Royce through the Porta Genova area of Milan on Friday evening. The 2018 World Cup runner up ran a red light and was stopped by a Carabinieri patrol, who administered an alcohol test.

Brozovic failed the test after being slightly over the permitted limits, the report continues, and has had his driving license revoked.

The 27-year-old Croatian midfielder has hardly featured for the Milanese club since the restart of the season, featuring twice in six league games. The player was suffering from a calf injury that he has seemingly recovered from, and is expected to start against Torino on Monday.

Italian Media Report Inter To Offload Borja Valero, Matias Vecino & Roberto Gagliardini This Summer

Inter are planning to offload Borja Valero, Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino this summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte is not particularly convinced about any of the trio, and is instead forced to deploy them regularly due to a lack of depth in the midfield, especially strained with the injuries to Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella.

In order to make space for new signings, Inter are still planning to offload the 35-year-old Valero, whose contract expires at the end of the season, the 26-year-old Roberto Gagliardini and the 28-year-old Matias Vecino.

One player that Conte would like to sign to fill the gaps in the midfield is AC Milan’s Franck Kessie, the report continues. Another target is still Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal, but the deal won’t move forward until Inter understand the future of the Lautaro Martinez situation.

Italian Media Claim Radja Nainggolan Destined To Leave Inter Amid Strong Links To Fiorentina

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan seems destined to leave the Nerazzurri this summer, with Fiorentina interested in signing the Belgian, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Florence based newspaper la Nazione.

The report details how Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso is keen to strengthen the squad this summer, hoping to push the club back to European competition.

The club have been following AC Milan’s Giacomo Bonaventura for some time now, but are also interested in Inter’s Nainggolan, the report continues.

The 32-year-old Belgian midfielder is currently out on loan at Cagliari, and it seems that the Nerazzurri have no interest in reintegrating the player into the squad.

According to the report, instead the Nerazzurri prefer to cut their losses and sell him after only one season in the Inter squad.

Nainggolan has made 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2249 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided seven assists.

Italian Media Details Conte’s Inter Wishlist: Alaba, Kante, Pogba & Gabriel Jesus In – Brozovic, Skriniar & Lautaro Out

Inter coach Antonio Conte expects strong reinforcements this summer and has an expensive shopping list, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach wants to sign Bayern Munich left back David Alaba, whose contract expires with the Bavarian club at the end of next season. The Austrian is ready to leave the club after 10 years but is unsure of where he would like to go.

Another option is Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri. For the midfield, Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal and Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante or Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, with the forward targets being Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.

These players would command high wages and hefty transfer fees, and therefore, the report continues, Conte wants Inter to be prepared to make difficult sacrifices, including offloading Lautaro Martinez, who Spanish media claim will sign for Barcelona at the end of this season.

Conte would be open to swapping Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar in exchange for City’s Jesus, the report continues, as well as potentially offering Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to either Chelsea or Manchester United for Kante or Pogba respectively.

The former Juventus coach has complained about the squad’s mentality recently and wants many new signings to win immediately.

Italian Media Report Inter Reignite Interest In Tottenham Defender Jan Vertonghen

Inter have reignited their interest in Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, whose contract will expire at the end of this month, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking for a replacement for veteran defender Diego Godin, who has struggled this season after failing to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and preference for a back three.

The 33-year-old Vertonghen would be a low-cost solution and give Conte an experienced veteran to help the younger backline.

Vertonghen has made 29 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2250 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals, provided one assist and helped the side keep six clean sheets.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is an expert at signing players on a free transfer, famous for this work with Juventus, and signing Vertonghen is currently one of his goals.
