Inter owners Suning and AC Milan owners Elliott are interested in the recent acquisition of the former horse track area bordering the San Siro stadium, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Italian Journalist Paolo Ziliani: “The Vileness Of Italian Football Never Ends Despite The Sewer Uncovered By Calciopoli”

Italian journalist Paolo Ziliani commented on the controversy surrounding the decision to not send off Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic in the Derby d’Italia in April of 2018, in a post on his Twitter page, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

“For the record, Pjanic was already booked (and Orsato had sent off Vecino after 20 minutes after being spoken to by VAR). The vileness of Italian football never ends, despite the sewer uncovered by Calciopoli.”

Former head of the FIGC Prosecutor’s Office, Giuseppe Pecoraro, spoke to Naples based newspaper Il Mattino earlier today, discussing how he asked for the audio recording of the conversation between referee Daniele Orsato and the VAR team in regard to the decision to not give a second yellow card to Pjanic.

Pecoraro revealed that he didn’t receive any recordings until the start of last season, and the recording of the conversation between Orsato and VAR about the Pjanic situation was the only one missing.

The game was decisive in Juventus’ title winning campaign of the 2017/18 season, as the win put them four points ahead of rivals Napoli, who would go on to lose to Fiorentina the next day, essentially ending their title challenge.

Inter and AC Milan will meet with the Milan City council next week to discuss the new stadium project, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the two Milanese clubs will meet with the City council on Tuesday to discuss the commercial areas of the new stadium project and the effect of the Coronavirus situation on the project’s plans.

The Westfield Milano project has been cancelled or suspended for the time being, due to the financial impact of the pandemic, and so clarifications are needed.

Both Inter and AC Milan have already agreed that the existing San Siro will not be demolished, the report continues, and instead will be renovated to be a public access sporting arena.

There is optimism between all parties that a deal can be reached and progress can resume after the end of the Coronavirus emergency, which is still keeping Italy in a lockdown.

RB Leipzig Sporting Director Ralf Rangnick On Inter Target Timo Werner: “I Hope He Stays”

Ralf Rangnick, the current Head of the Sports and Development Division of the Red Bull group, discussed Inter target Timo Werner in an interview with German media outlet Mitteldeutsche Zeitung earlier today.

“I know his family, even his girlfriend can advise him very well. He must continue to improve, especially in his performance. I’d be happy if he stayed. If he were to leave, he could be replaced, but Timo will have to consider whether in another club he will have the opportunity to play regularly as he does at Leipzig.”

Inter are considering signing Werner as a potential replacement for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, who is the top target of Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Blaugrana are hoping to sign the player no matter what, with the Nerazzurri insisting for €90 million in cash as well as one or two players in exchange. Werner has been noted as a strong alternative, but he is also wanted by Premier League side Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s team offering him a £8 million per year salary.

Werner has made 36 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2832 minutes. In that time, he has scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists, being one of the most dangerous strikers in the Bundesliga this season.

Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez Has Not Declined To Enter Into Contract Extension Talks With Inter

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez hasn’t declined a contract offer from the Nerazzurri, despite what has been reported in Spain, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine striker is at the center of a negotiation battle between Barcelona and Inter, with the Blaugrana trying their hardest to bring the player to Spain. The Catalan club have offered Lautaro a five-year contract worth €10 million net per season, figures that Inter cannot and will not match.

Inter also won’t offer a discount on their €90 million cash request, the report continues, and want one or two players in exchange to make the deal up to Lautaro’s €111 million release clause. The 22-year-old Argentine striker has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists, forming a formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku.

Inter Prefer Arsenal’s Aubameyang To RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner If Lautaro Martinez Is Sold To Barcelona

Inter prefer the idea of signing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang instead of RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner should Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez be sold to Barcelona in the summer, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri aren’t willing to give the Blaugrana a discount on Lautaro, still asking for €90 million in cash as well as one or two players in exchange. Talks are ongoing and no final decisions have been made yet. Regardless, the Milanese club are still searching for the perfect replacement.

That player might be Aubameyang, the report continues, for multiple reasons. The player’s contract expires with the Gunners at the end of next season and he has refused to renew it, meaning that the North London club are likely to sell him at a lower price in order to avoid the chances of him leaving on a free transfer in a year’s time.

Aubameyang would cost around €35-40 million, the report continues, significantly less than RB Leipzig’s requested €60 million for Werner. The German striker has also been in contact with Liverpool for many months now and the English side have offered him an £8 million salary.
