No Chance Of Inter Return For Juventus Target Mauro Icardi Even If PSG Don’t Sign Him Permanently

There is no chance that Mauro Icardi could return to the Inter squad, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking at multiple players who could potentially replace Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez in the summer, should the 22-year-old Argentine forward be sold to Barcelona. The Milanese club are also considering signing some players on a free transfer, like Dries Mertens or Edinson Cavani.

One idea that Inter have no interest in, the report continues, is the idea of Icardi returning to the fold. Should French side Paris Saint Germain decide not to permanently sign the 27-year-old for around €70 million, the Nerazzurri would be prepared to negotiate directly with Juventus.

Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists, but has failed to fully convince coach Thomas Tuchel.

Lazio Set To Extend Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s Contract Amid Interest From Inter, Juventus & PSG

Inter are interested in signing Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but know that a deal will be hard to reach, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are one of the many clubs keen to sign the 25-year-old Serbian midfielder, who has already agreed to a new contract with the Biancocelesti until the end of 2024, where he earns €3 million net per season.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has no interest in selling Milinkovic-Savic and has been asking for over €100 million, a high fee for any interested club including Juventus and Paris Saint Germain.

Lazio still don’t want to sell Milinkovic-Savic, the report continues, but the Nerazzurri may still look to sign the player in the summer. The Biancocelesti, however, have no interest in offering any discounts on the Serbian midfielder, despite the uncertain financial climate of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Milinkovic-Savic has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2539 minutes. In that time, he has scored five goals and provided seven assists.

Serie A Risking Financial Collapse If €220M In Revenue From TV Rights Not Paid Out

Italian clubs are owed around €220 million in TV rights and if they are not paid the entire Serie A is risking a financial collapse, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report details how this money is vital for many Italian clubs, especially after some club presidents have used loans from the bank to fund certain ventures with the hope of paying these loans back with the TV rights.

Sky, DAZN and IMG owe the clubs a total of €220 million but they may not be paid if the season isn’t completed, as these companies will also lose out on millions from advertisers.

Talks between all relevant parties are still ongoing, the report continues, and the next three seasons are also being discussed.

Sky have underlined that they are open to finding a constructive solution. On Friday last week there was moments of tension between the president of Lega Serie A Paolo Dal Pino and the Torino President Urbano Cairo, with many worried about the financial stability of their clubs and Italian football as a whole and, with Dal Pino considering resigning from his position.

Official – Italy’s Ministry Of The Interior Gives Go Ahead For Individual Training For Football To Resume Tomorrow

Italy’s Ministry of the Interior, have send out a notice to all prefects and local councils and mayors that training for football clubs may resume tomorrow according to a report in Italian media outlet PassioneInter earlier today.

The report details how both athletes and non-athletes can take part in individual sports activity in both public and private areas, as long as they respect the social distancing protocols, and don’t take part in any form of assembly and stay at least two meters away from other individuals.

For Serie A clubs, this means that they can look to bring their squads back to the respective training centers. Inter can now restart individual training at Appiano Gentile, with the announcement detailing how the current measures will be in place from tomorrow to the 17th May.

Italian clubs are hoping that squad training can be restarted on the 18th May, which would allow the league to restart at the start of June, considering that it takes around three weeks for players to reach match fitness when training.

All Serie A Clubs Looking To Return To Individual Training Sessions Next Week

Inter & Juventus Agree That Squad Training Should Be Resumed May 18th

The Serie A clubs are united wanting this season to be completed, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how both Juventus and Inter voted to restart and complete the season, with Andrea Agnelli and Beppe Marotta clarifying their positions on Friday.

The clubs are in agreement to restart squad training from the 18th May and to resume the season in early June. Some leagues around Europe, like France’s Ligue 1 and the Dutch Eredivisie have already called off their seasons after their governments decided to ban sporting events for the summer.

Some feared that the Italian government may look to make a similar decision, the report continues, but now it seems more likely that games will be completed behind closed doors, as the loss of TV revenue and sponsorships may be too damaging to Italian football as a whole.

Ex-Head Of FIGC Prosecutor’s Office Pecoraro: “No Explanation Given Why Audio Between Referee Orsato & VAR After Vecino Sent Off In Inter Vs Juve In 2018 Missing”

Giuseppe Pecoraro, the head of the FIGC prosecutor’s office from August 2016 to December 2019, discussed the infamous Derby d’Italia between Inter and Juventus in April of 2018, where the referee Daniele Orsato was heavily criticised for his decisions, in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Naples based newspaper Il Mattino.

“It was Orsato’s management of Inter-Juventus that showed me the tensions with the refereeing world, and I had complaints signed, from associations, fans and organisations about his work and to avoid making mistakes, I asked my deputies whether or not I should open proceedings.”

Pecoraro then revealed a controversial fact, that there was no audio recording between Orsato and the VAR room about giving Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic a second yellow card.

“I don’t think we would have found evidence of bad faith and I asked the Italian Referee’s Association AIA first and then the Lega Calcio, only to understand better what was going on, for the audio-video dialogue between VAR room and the referee of that match.

“They only gave us the audio to us at the beginning of the following season. We opened the file and the only episode in which there is no audio recorded was the only one we cared about, the one between Orsato and VAR that had led to Orsato’s decision not to send off Pjanic. When I asked why they told me it just wasn’t there and that’s it.”

The infamous Derby d’Italia between Inter and Juventus took place in April 2018, a vital game in the Bianconeri’s fight for the league title. The win put the Turin based club four points ahead of second place Napoli, who would go on to lose at Fiorentina the next day.

Many suggested that Orsato’s decisions favored Juventus, starting with the harsh red card given to Matias Vecino, followed by the failure to send off Pjanic for an obviously bookable offence.
