Inter Squad Ready To Resume Full Training Thanks To Lockdown Regime Put In Place By Antonio Conte

The Inter squad are ready to return to training, thanks to the hard work to keep them fit by coach Antonio Conte and his staff during the lockdown period, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the players can immediately look to return to training when given approval, after Conte and his staff’s have worked to ensure their fitness and physical condition whilst at home during the lockdown.

The Nerazzurri also ensured that the squad followed a strict diet, in order to ensure that they will be able to return to full match fitness as soon as possible.

A return to training seems likely to arrive soon, the report continues, and only one Inter player currently isn’t ready for the restart.

That player is 31-year-old Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, who will finish his mandatory quarantine period at the beginning of next week. The player returned from Chile on the 21st April. Inter are now just waiting for official approval before beginning the restart.

Inter Interested In Signing Tottenham target Ivan Rakitic But Prefer His Barcelona Teammate Arturo Vidal

Inter are still interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic but the Nerazzurri would prefer to sign his teammate Arturo Vidal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The report details how Premier League side Tottenham are incredibly keen to sign the Croatian midfielder, who seems destined to leave the Blaugrana this summer. The Nerazzurri have long been interested in the 2018 World Cup finalist, but despite previous attempts to sign the player, are now looking elsewhere.

The Milanese club, who are in talks with Barcelona already regarding Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, would prefer to sign Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, the report continues. The reason is because coach Antonio Conte knows Vidal well from their time together at Juventus and believes that the Chilean would be a better fit for the Nerazzurri.

Vidal has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1414 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided three assists.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte Could Decide To Suspend The 2019/2020 Serie A Season On Wednesday

Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte could decide to suspend Serie A next week, according to a report from today’s print edition of the Rome based newspaper La Repubblica.

The report details how several regions in Italy have allowed clubs to reopen their sports centers and allow players to attend individual training sessions, following all the required safety protocols. These regions are Lazio, Campania, Emilia-Romagna and Sardinia.

However, with thousands dead due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Italian government could decide that restarting the league poses too many risks.

Two top European leagues have already decided to call off the season, the report continues, with both the French Ligue 1 and the Dutch Eredivisie deciding to end early.

Serie A clubs are hoping to restart the season and follow the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga, who both are set to finish the remaining games. Conte’s announcement could come on Wednesday, meaning next week is a decisive one in regard to this season.

Inter Starlet Lorenzo Pirola Agrees To A 5 Year Contract Extension With The Club

Inter youngster Lorenzo Pirola has agreed to sign a new five-year contract, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s management believe that the 18-year-old Italian is the future of the club’s defense, impressing with the Primavera squad this season.

Inter coach Antonio Conte has promised to give Pirola more time with the first time from May onwards, in order to help convince the player to sign the contract, that will expire in 2025.

Several clubs have already asked about Pirola, the report continues, but the 18-year-old decided to stay with Inter and join their project. The Italian teenager has made 20 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1800 minutes.

Inter To Offer Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez A New Contract Only After He Decides To Stay

Inter will offer Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez a new contract only after he decides to stay at the club, amidst interest from Barcelona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Blaugrana are continuing to press for Lautaro, but can’t reach his €111 million release clause. The club are also prepared to give the 22-year-old a five-year contract worth €10 million net per season, a high offer to try and tempt the player to join the club.

Inter would prefer to keep Lautaro but are willing to sell him for €90 million in cash plus one or two players in exchange.

If Lautaro decides to stay in Milan, then Inter will offer him a new contract, the report continues. The Nerazzurri would be happy to increase his wages, which will be almost €3 million for next season, and whilst it’s impossible for them to match Barcelona’s offer, it will still be an important offer.

Man Utd Manager Solskjaer Determined To Keep Pogba At Club Amid Strong Interest From Inter, Real Madrid & PSG

Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to keep French midfielder Paul Pogba and rebuild the squad around the 2018 World Cup winner, amidst interest from Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from English tabloid the Daily Mail.

The report details how Solskjaer understands that the player has struggled with fitness this season, but wants to make him the focal point of the future project. The Red Devils have promised Pogba that he would return to the first team after recovering from his injury issues, even though there is currently no progress on the contract renewal talks.
