Inter are very interested in signing both Junior Firpo and Federico Chiesa in order to strengthen the wing back position in the Nerazzurri squad, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are interested in Junior Firpo and would be happy to include the 24-year-old in the deal for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez. The Blaugrana are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old and believe he would be the perfect replacement for Luis Suarez.

The Nerazzurri are also interested in Fiorentina’s Chiesa, the report continues, and are considering making a big money offer for the 22-year-old Italian starlet in the summer.

The Milanese club are also considering other options like Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso, but Chiesa and Junior Firpo appear to be preferred by the Nerazzurri. The club are looking to strengthen their squad in the summer in order to close the gap with Juventus and compete for the league title.

Inter and Barcelona have agreed to include Junior Firpo in the deal for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez but still must decide what to do with Samuel Umtiti, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Blaugrana are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023. The Catalan club believe that Lautaro would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez but cannot afford to pay his €111 million release clause.

Both clubs have agreed to include Junior Firpo in the deal for Lautaro, the report continues, as Barcelona look to offer multiple players to Inter in order to lower the cash payment they’ll have to make.

Another player that could be included is 2018 World Cup winner Samuel Umtiti, but the Nerazzurri only want the player on a loan deal due to his long history of serious injuries, which have heavily impacted his career.

Barcelona and Manchester City are in advanced talks over a swap deal concerning former Inter linked duo Joao Cancelo and Nelson Semedo in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report details how the two clubs are considering the swap deal as City aren’t too convinced by Cancelo’s offensive ability and would prefer to swap him for Semedo.

The 26-year-old Portuguese full back was brought up in the talks between the Blaugrana and Inter regarding Lautaro Martinez, and so the player may not be included in the deal after all if he goes to Manchester.

The Blaugrana have been interested in Cancelo since 2017, the report continues, but looked elsewhere due to his €60 million price tag. The player then moved to Inter and Juventus, before moving over to play for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. His time in the Premier League is seemingly over and it seems likely that he will join Barcelona in the summer.

Inter will permanently sign Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi from Sassuolo in the summer, despite his injury troubles, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 24-year-old Italian got off to an incredibly strong start to the season for the Nerazzurri, scoring three goals and providing four assists in the first six league games of the season. A

After only 34 minutes into his first Derby d’Italia on game day 7, Sensi suffered a tear in his abductor muscle that forced him to miss 11 games. He has also suffered from foot problems and a calf injury this season.

Sensi has now fully recovered and is preparing for the season restart, the report continues. Inter will pay €20 million to Sassuolo to make his stay in Milan permanent, in part due to the gentleman’s pact made between the two clubs that must be respected. Some Premier League clubs are interested in him but coach Antonio Conte has no plans to lose the 24-year-old.

Manchester United have asked Inter for Milan Skriniar in exchange for French midfielder Paul Pogba, but the Nerazzurri have refused, according to a report from Italian journalist Paolo Paganini on Twitter today.

The report details how the Red Devils are searching for a new home for the 2018 World Cup winner, who’s time in England has seemingly come to an end. Both Juventus and Inter are keen to sign Pogba, who has experience playing in the Italian top-flight for the Bianconeri.

Manchester United highlighted Douglas Costa, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey as players they like from Juventus, the report continues, and would be happy to do a swap deal with one or more of those players.

On the other hand, the Red Devils specifically identified Skriniar as their preferred option, but the Nerazzurri have no interest in losing the 25-year-old Slovakian. Inter are closely monitoring the talks between Barcelona and Manchester City, as the two clubs are discussing a swap between Nelson Semedo and Joao Cancelo, according to a report from Spanish journalist Francesc Aguilar on Twitter earlier today.

The report details how the two clubs are considering a swap deal involving the two full backs, as City coach Pep Guardiola is not a fan of how offensively minded Cancelo is and wants a player who can guarantee a strong defensive phase.

Inter are watching the situation closely and may look to sign the former Juventus and Inter full back should the talks collapse. Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign Inter striker forward Mauro Icardi but there is still some distance between the two clubs, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Argentine striker joined the French club on loan last summer, joining with a buy option attached worth €70 million. The player has impressed in Paris this season, but the French club aren’t willing to pay the full €70 million for his signature.

PSG would like to offer Inter €60 million for Icardi, the report continues, including add-ons. The Nerazzurri, on the other hand, would prefer to start from €60 million and add the add-ons on top, getting a little closer to the previously agreed upon figure.

Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists.

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs discussed Inter legend Javier Zanetti in an interview with English broadcaster MUTV yesterday afternoon.

“The most difficult player to face for me was Javier Zanetti from Inter. He ran all the time. He also played in midfield, so he was comfortable with the ball at his feet.

“He knew how to defend, he was very difficult to overcome, he literally broke my nose in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. As a defender Zanetti had it all.”

Giggs also discussed how he had his nose broken by both Zanetti and an AC Milan player in his autobiography a couple of years ago.

“My celebration was ended when Zanetti broke my nose with his elbow, the same thing happened to me against AC Milan in 2005. Nice, these Milanese people [laughs]. And people keep saying that one day I should have played there.”

Zanetti, who is currently the vice president of Inter, spent his whole professional career in European football with the Nerazzurri, spending 19 years on the pitch as a player for the Milanese club.

He won five league titles, four Coppa Italia, four Supercoppa Italiana, a Champions League, a UEFA Cup and a Club World Cup with Inter.

Zanetti made 858 appearances for the Nerazzurri, across all competitions, in his 19 years with the club. In that time, he scored 21 goals and provided 16 assists, earning only two red cards.

He is now the vice president of the club, working alongside executives like Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio to help build a strong future for the club, with the backing of club president Steven Zhang.
