Inter will tonight embark on their 66th Coppa Italia campaign. So far, the Nerazzurri have a record of 199 victories, 82 draws and 83 defeats from 364 matches played, scoring 606 goals and conceding 364 in the process.

The club won their first ever match in the Coppa Italia on 25 December 1935, when Inter beat Brescia 4-0 in Milan.

The Nerazzurri have scored in their last 14 Coppa Italia matches played at home, finding the net no less than 30 times in total.

Sampdoria haven’t conceded in 204 minutes of competitive football. The last time their defence was breached came in the 66th minute of Lazio’s resounding 3-0 Serie A win over the Blucerchiati on 5 January. Samp have kept two clean sheets out of two since then, beating Empoli 1-0 at home and Parma 0-2 away.

Samp haven’t won an away match in the Coppa Italia since 14 January 2007, when they beat Chievo 1-2 in Verona. In their eight away matches since then, the Genoa-based outfit have drawn three and lost five.
