SANTIAGO – Gary Medel was in action for Chile last night as La Roja booked their place in the Copa America final with a 2-1 win over Peru.

Edu Vargas opened and closed the scoring either side of an unfortunate Medel own goal, with the Inter man playing the full 90 minutes.

Tournament hosts Chile will be hoping to make home advantage count and claim the trophy for the first time in history when they play the winner of the other semi-final between Argentina and Paraguay on Saturday 4 July.
