SHANGHAI – Davide Santon appeared upbeat about Inter’s pre-season preparations as he spoke to Shanghai TV following today’s Audi Football Summmit Shanghai friendly with Bayern Munich.

"We’re working hard. We’ve only been here a few days but we’re training really well," he began.

"We were up against a fantastic team today. Bayern won it but we had chances to score and can be positive about the future. It’s always a shame to lose but at this stage of the season you’re just looking to get minutes under your belt and try out the best solutions before the season starts."

The left-back also admitted he has been impressed by the reception Chinese fans have given Inter. "China is a wonderful country, the fans here are sensational," he said.
