MODENA – We caught up with Inter defender Joao Miranda after the final whistle to get his reaction on the defeat of Carpi: "I’m delighted to get the win. We know we still need to improve but we’re only at the start of the season. All matches are different – we had to do a bit more work in defence tonight than we did against Atalanta, but the most important thing is to get the three points.

"We’re a very good team in defence and that’s down to the help of other areas of the side too. Now we have the international break and then we focus on AC Milan," declared Miranda.
