GENOA – Inter Channel grabbed Fredy Guarin for a few words after this afternoon’s draw against Sampdoria. 

"We kept on pushing until the final whistle and we even had a few chances to get the second goal, but we couldn’t manage it. Nevertheless, we’ve picked up an important point because we found it difficult in the first half and it’s always tough to get a result here."

The midfielder also revealed what was going through his mind in the first half when Geoffrey Kondogbia set him up in front of goal: "I had my back to it and I didn’t realise I was in so much space. I had to make up my mind so I hit it quickly."

“As for the coach showing faith in me, that is something you have to earn every day. The important thing is to always be ready.”
