Ljajic: “Prepare thoroughly for next match”
DOHA – Adem Ljajic was one of the star performers among the Nerazzurri players against Paris Saint-German in the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium yesterday.

“I’ve played a few games on the left side of midfield for Roma. It’s not difficult to play alongside Geoffrey Kondogbia and Marcelo Brozovic. They are quality players and helped me out a great deal.

“We played well against a top side and it was a good game to watch. We ended up losing, but the result wasn’t as important as the performance.”

Roberto Mancini tried a few experiments during the match, but the Serbian forward isn’t worried by having to adapt to a different role: “It may happen that when I lose my pace in the future, I could play in this position. I enjoy it there.

“I had fun today, you get more touches on the ball and you can create the conditions for your side to dominate. It was a pleasure to play in this role.”

Finally, Ljajic had a few words to say on Inter’s opponents when the league gets under way again: “Empoli are doing well at the moment and it’s never easy to play at their place. However, we are Inter – we have to leave no stone unturned in our preparations and go there to win.”
