Santon: “Vital to pick up minutes”
DOHA – A return to the side and an important test for Davide Santon in Doha: “We played well in the first half and had our chances in a very even game.”

“I managed to make my comeback after a month and a half out with injury, but others are still on the treatment table.

“Now we have to concentrate on Serie A.”

The Italian defender felt positive about his return from the sidelines: “You’re always a bit cautious when you come back after a muscular injury. I didn’t push myself too much, but overall it went well.

“I need to put more minutes in my legs and today was a good test.”
