Erick Thohir: “Here to back the team” APPIANO GENTILE – Shortly after landing in Italy, Inter president Erick Thohir travelled to Appiano Gentile to meet the staff and players as they prepare for Sunday’s trip to Fiorentina: “I hadn’t been back for a couple of months but I’ve been in constant touch with Roberto Mancini and the management over that time. I was with them with Doha too.”
His rapport with Mancini remains rock solid: “I have an excellent relationship with the coach, we hold each other in high regard and we’re working well together.”
The president then added: “I want to be with the team at such an important stage of the season, plus I’ve read lots of articles in the press, none of which are true.”
