Cantona names Facchetti in all-time XI
MILAN – Iconic French footballer Eric Cantona has named Giacinto Facchetti in his all-time best XI as part of an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, describing the Inter legend as “a noble player with great talent – the best Italian defender of all time”.

Cantona went for a stylish 3-4-3 formation, Rene Higuita getting the nod in goal behind a back three of Facchetti, Franz Beckenbauer and Junior. Roy Keane and Carlos Valderrama hold the centre ground with Diego Maradona and Garrincha on the flanks, while Mario Kempes, Johan Cruyff and George Best lead the line.
