Inter exit MIC 2016 after Barca shootout
SANTA CRISTINA D’ARO – Marco Mandelli’s Giovanissimi Regionali side are out of the Mediterranean International Cup 2016 following a penalty shootout defeat at the hands of Barcelona in the semi-finals.

Inter had beaten Girona in the quarter-finals earlier in the day, Sandalli, Chibozo and Essan scoring in a 3-1 defeat of the Spanish side.

That win set up a semi-final with Barcelona, and though Barazzetta and Esposito earned the young Nerazzurri a 2-2 draw in normal time, it was the Blaugrana who held their nerve to book their place in the final with a 7-6 penalty shootout victory.
