Inter have cooled their interest in signing Sporting’s Marcos Acuna and River Plate’s Lucas Martinez Quarta ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter have been linked with signing both players for a good few months now but neither of the duo are likely to be arriving at the Nerazzurri in the coming months.

The report from the Turin based newspaper does however go on to state that Inter have an interested in Martinez Quarta’s teammate Gonzalo Montiel, who is primarily a right back but also capable of filling in at centre back too if so required.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri are interested in signing young Argentine starlet Agustin Urzi, who is currently on the books of Superliga Argentina outfit Banfield.

Inter are not the only Italian club to have an interest in Urzi either with Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Roma all also having been linked to him.

Fiorentina have asked Inter about the possibility of extending the loans of Cristiano Biraghi and Dalbert for a further season according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Biraghi joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer and Dalbert went in the opposite direction and joined La Viola on a season long loan too.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta finds the prospect of a loan extension to be interesting given the lack of money expected to be spent in the upcoming Summer transfer window and because keeping Biraghi would be helpful for the purpose of fulfilling the homegrown player quota required for UEFA competitions.

Whilst on loan at Inter, Biraghi has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal and provided four assists.

Dalbert has meanwhile made a total of 26 appearances for the Florence based club and has provided seven assists for his teammates.

Inter are facing competition from fellow Serie A side Roma for a number of players ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian capital city club are said to be keen on signing Barcelona duo Junior Firpo and Jean-Clair Todibo, two players Inter are reportedly open to receiving as part of a deal with the Blaugrana for striker Lautaro Martinez.

Italian national team and Everton striker Moise Kean is also on the Giallorossi club’s radar. In the past few weeks it has been reported that Kean could be the player that Inter could go for to replace Lautaro if he does indeed depart the club.

Finally there is Sporting and Argentine wing back Marcos Acuna. Inter drew links to him back in January and tried and failed to reach an agreement with the Lisbon based club over him.

Alexis Sanchez and Borja Valero are both set to leave Inter at the end of this season according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Sanchez is currently on loan at the Nerazzurri club from Premier League outfit Manchester United and Inter have no intention of trying to sign the Chilean national team attacker on a permanent basis after he failed to live up to expectations during his loan and due to his mega wages.

Valero on the other hand is out of contract at the end of this season and Inter will not offer the 35-year-old midfielder a contract extension.

This season Sanchez has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, the majority of which have come as a substitute. In just under 600 minutes he has scored one goal and provided three assists.

Valero has also made 15 appearances to date this term, in which he has scored two goals in 844 minutes.

Inter and Barcelona are far away from reaching an agreement over Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

Earlier on today a report emerged in the Spanish media that the two clubs had reached an agreement in principle on the basis of €60 million plus two players but Sport Mediaset detail the situation is in fact very different to what was reported in Spain.

The clubs are far away from reaching any agreement and Inter are remaining firm and will not sit around the negotiating table unless €90 million is offered. It goes on to insist that it is very difficult to imagine a deal for the highly rated 22-year-old being reached quickly between the clubs.

This season the Argentine national team player has exploded and surprised many with how well he has performed. He has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.

Inter could use Roberto Gagliardini as a makeweight in a deal for Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

La Viola are one of several admirers of Gagliardini, who has also drawn interest from Torino and as a result Inter could look to take advantage of Fiorentina’s interest by offering him to them as part of a deal for long term transfer target Chiesa, who is also a target of arch rivals Juventus.

The report goes on to explain that Inter value Gagliardini in the region of €25 million and if able to do a player plus cash deal for 22-year-old Italian national team winger Chiesa, Inter would make a nice capital gain on Gagliardini, who joined the club back in 2017 from Atalanta.

This season Gagliardini has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided as many assists. Chiesa has made 26 appearances in total, in which he has scored seven and tallied five assists.

In the past few hours Paris Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo has made contact with Inter with regard to the purchase of Mauro Icardi according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

Icardi is currently out on loan at the newly crowned French champions, who have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €70 million, which could rise up to €85 million in the event that they go on to sell him to another Italian club.

The signs that Paris Saint Germain will take up the option to buy are growing increasingly positive and as a result Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is already thinking about how to spend that money.

As per the report, Marotta is ready to start making moves for Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa, as he wants to increase the contingent of Italian players on Inter’s books.

Inter are weighing up making a move for Sassuolo’s Jeremie Boga according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter manager Antonio Conte in particular is evaluating things due to wanting to avoid a repeat of the Ivan Perisic and Matteo Politano experiments, with neither player capable of fulfilling what is required to play in his trusted 3-5-2 system.

Federico Chiesa could sign a contract extension with Fiorentina which includes a €100 million release fee clause according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Chiesa has long been linked with a move away from the club with Inter and Juventus both long term admirers of him but a contract extension with La Viola cannot be ruled out.

Whilst a transfer away from the club or a long term contract extension initially appeared the only options for Chiesa, a one year contract extension could well be signed.

As per the Milan based newspaper’s report, a one year extension without a release clause could be signed or one with a €100 million release clause could be signed.

Chiesa, who is already under contract with the Florence based club until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.

Inter hope to raise a minimum of €180 million via the sales of Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint Germain and Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona this Summer according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter will get at least €70 million from PSG if they sign Icardi up on a permanent basis and that fee could rise to €85 million in the event that they then go on to sell him to Juventus, who are seemingly very interested in him.

Inter will make a significant capital gain on Icardi regardless given he has a value against the club’s books of just €1.8 million.

Lautaro continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona and has a €111 million release clause in his contract, which, if triggered, would make Inter a significant capital gain of no less than €96 million.

Should both players depart, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will use the money to bring in five top players who could help Inter to mount a Serie A title challenge.
