Inter Could Have To Sell Either Lautaro Martinez Or Milan Skriniar If PSG Don’t Keep Mauro Icardi

Inter will face many problems if Paris Saint Germain do not take up their option to sign on loan striker Mauro Icardi according to a report from sports broadcaster ESPN.

The 27-year-old Argentine joined the newly crowned French champions on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal they got an option to buy him for €80 million.

It is currently unclear what their intentions are with regard to Icardi and this report warns that if they do not sign him up on a permanent basis, Inter would suffer a heavy loss in revenue and they would have to change their plans for the upcoming Summer transfer window.

Moreover, the report claims that Inter could have to sell one of Lautaro Martinez or Milan Skriniar if Icardi returns, even though Inter manager Antonio Conte wishes to keep both players.

Inter Linked RB Leipzig Striker Timo Werner Rejects Bayern Munich As He Wants Liverpool Move

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has rejected the chance of a move to fellow Bundesliga club Bayern Munich due to having his sights set on a move to Liverpool according to a report from German news outlet BILD.

The 24-year-old German national team player has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe in recent seasons and looks set to depart RB Leipzig in the upcoming Summer transfer window after four years with the club.

Bayern Munich have shown a keen interest in signing Werner, who has a €60 million release clause in his current contract, which runs until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Inter have also been linked with making a move for Werner with reports in the media suggesting Inter could move for him as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez, if he leaves the club amid continued links to Spanish giants Barcelona.

This season Werner has made 36 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 27 goals and tallied 12 assists.

Italian Report Claims Inter May Accept Offer Less Than Lautaro Martinez’s €111m Release Clause

Inter may accept an offer less than Lautaro Martinez’s release clause but will not accept an offer much lower than it at least according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport 24.

The 22-year-old Argentine national team striker continues to draw very strong links with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona, who have reportedly identified him as their number one transfer target ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window.

Barcelona seemingly want to do a player(s) plus cash deal for the player and the report goes on to state that Inter do not want just any player(s) thrown into the deal, they want quality players as part of a deal, if it is to go down that route.

It goes on to add that Inter are certainly in no hurry to offload the former Racing Club and would in fact be very happy if they were able to keep him due to his performances since his arrival and the partnership he has struck up with Romelu Lukaku.

This season he has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists for his teammates.

Italian Report Claims Inter Manager Antonio Conte Is Crazy About Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa

Inter manager Antonio Conte is crazy about Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa and believes that Chiesa is the ideal player to play on the right hand side according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter are long term admirers of Chiesa and a report has today suggested that the Nerazzurri club are willing to offer up to €40 million plus outcast Radja Nainggolan to Fiorentina for him.

The report from the Turin based newspaper explains that Conte believes the highly rated 22-year-old is the ideal player to play at right wing back in his 3-5-2 system. Moreover, Conte thinks that Chiesa is also an ideal alternative for the attack.

Chiesa, who has also been linked with a move to Inter’s arch rivals Juventus, has a contract with Fiorentina until the end of the 2021/22 season.

This season he has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored seven goals and provided a total of five assists for his teammates.

A few days ago a report emerged that Juventus were interested in signing him and that Inter were also interested in re-signing him but both clubs appear set to miss out upon the former Galatasaray player who seems bound for the French capital.

This season the 27-year-old has made 40 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 3300 minutes on the field, he has scored 10 goals and has also provided nine assists.

Former Inter Assistant Manager Morais: “It’s Possible For Inter To Sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi Because They Have Javier Zanetti”

Former Inter assistant manager Jose Morais has shared his belief that it is possible for Inter to sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi thanks to the fact Inter have Javier Zanetti at the club.

In the past few weeks and months reports have suggested that relations between Messi and Barcelona have broken down and this has led to him being linked with several clubs, including Inter.

“You know what, I think it’s possible. You know the reason why? Because they have Zanetti. Zanetti is like a tractor factor for Argentinian players,” Morais, who served as assistant to Jose Mourinho in Inter’s historic treble winning season, told Yahoo! Sport.

“I think he is capable of attracting a player like Messi if he thinks about a different challenge. I think for an Argentinian player, it’s almost to have a feeling like I’m going home, I’m going to Inter.

“My feeling is that Inter are welcoming in a special way and for Argentinian players, probably because of the presence of Zanetti. All of the Argentinians joining Inter are extraordinary players, they brought success to the club. I believe Messi can be one of these players.”

Morais, who is current in charge of South Korean K League side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, then went on to discuss the recent speculation relating to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s future.

The 22-year-old Argentine national team forward has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona with reports stating that the Blaugrana would like to do a player(s) plus cash deal for him.

“I think as a professional if you want to have a career, Inter are definitely a fantastic club to stay and make a career,” he continued.

“I don’t know what’s going on in the head of a player, if a club like Madrid or Barca, with the impact they have, if it is possible to buy a player from Inter – it’s possible. I don’t know the conditions of the contract, but it can make the deal possible or not possible.

“If we speak about Neymar, he wants to leave from Paris Saint-Germain but the price is just too high for clubs to pay. It is not easy to leave.

“If the Coronavirus situation will help the player, it’s about the contract. I believe the situation in Spain is not too different from Italy at the moment.

“I don’t think this will be a factor for the player to say I will leave Italy to go to Spain. It will be about the vision of his future and goals he has in his career. I hope for Inter they will keep Lautaro Martinez because he makes a difference. You need these kinds of players to win the league.”

Morais, who has also had spells in charge of Antalyaspor, Barnsley and AEK Athens, went on to share his thoughts about what Inter are like today.

“I believe in the club, in the people who are working there. In Italy, I’m an Interista. As an Interista, there is only one way to think – it’s to believe that the club can, in any circumstance, be a competitor for the title.

“With the investment this season, it’s possible. It’s important to have stability, in terms of organisation, to succeed in the next years.

“Conte is a good coach. He has been winning titles. He did what he did with Juventus and Chelsea, and hopefully for Inter, he will also make them champions. This is my wish because I want the best for Inter in Italy.”

Inter Goalkeeper Tommaso Berni: “The Days Go By Quickly But I Miss Being In The Locker Room & My Teammates”

In an interview with Inter’s official club broadcaster Inter TV, third choice goalkeeper Tommaso Berni has given an insight into the life he has been living whilst stuck in quarantine with his family.

“I’m fine, we don’t complain. We are very busy because almost two months ago my little daughter was born. The days go by quickly but I do miss being in the locker room and my teammates,” he began the interview which was broadcast earlier on today.

“When you have been used to diving to the ground for more than twenty years, two months without doing it are difficult but I try to keep fit and try to be rigid in following the workouts we have been given.”

Next he revealed what he has been doing in his free time when he is not training at home.

“In the few free moments I get, I read and listen to music. Me and my family are in a bubble of love and despite this critical moment we are very happy.”

Berni proceeded to discuss how he is able to help out the younger players on Inter’s books.

“I am now in my sixth year at Inter. Passion is the first thing that drives me. It makes me train as if I were playing. With all the experience that I have, I can give advice and see situations in a different way than those who are younger than me.”

He concluded the interview by adding: “I will always thank Inter for the opportunity. Being the glue that keeps the team together comes naturally to me and I’m glad. I know I can help.”

Berni started his career in Inter’s youth academy and has also represented the likes of Ternana, Lazio, Salernitana during his career.

Berni has never made a competitive appearance for Inter in all his years with the club and has been an almost permanent feature on the substitutes bench. His contract is due to expire in a matter of months and some reports have suggested that Inter have offered him a coaching role.

Inter Could Bring In Parma’s Luigi Sepe To Deputise For Samir Handanovic But It Depends On Ionut Radu

Inter remain interested in Parma goalkeeper Luigi Sepe but his possible arrival depends on what happens with Ionut Andrei Radu according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri are on the look out for a new goalkeeper capable of playing as back up to current number one and club captain Samir Handanovic.

Radu is currently already on Inter’s books but it remains to be seen what Inter do with him. The Romanian youngster is currently out on loan at Parma and is due to return to Inter at the end of the season.

Inter could opt to utilise Radu as Handanovic’s back up, they could loan him out again or they could move him on as part of a deal for a new back up goalkeeper.

Radu has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date this term and kept two clean sheets. Sepe has meanwhile made 22 appearances across all competitions, in which he has kept five clean sheets.
