Barcelona cannot currently afford to offer Inter any more than €50 million for striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The Blaugrana club have shown an extremely strong interest in signing the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team forward ahead of the Summer transfer window but do not have the finances to meet Inter’s demands for him.

The report claims that Barcelona could only afford to offer Inter a fee in the region of €45-50 million due to their financial situation, a fee which Inter would not even think about sitting around the negotiation table for.

Inter are understood to want €90 million in cash plus Arturo Vidal on a permanent basis and Antoine Griezmann on loan.

Lautaro, who joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Racing Club in the Summer of 2018, has made 31 appearances across all competitions this term, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teamamtes.

Inter could throw Radja Nainggolan into a deal for Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Inter are long term admirers of Chiesa, who Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso values at no less than €70 million, and they face competition from arch rivals Juventus, who are also long term admirers of the 22-year-old.

The Nerazzurri could offer a significant cash sum plus Nainggolan as a sweetener to La Viola, who reportedly have an interest in the former Belgian national team midfielder, who is currently out on loan at Cagliari.

Nainggolan has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date whilst with the Sardinia based club, during which he has scored five goals and provided six assists for his teammates.

Chiesa on the other hand has made 26 appearances across all competitions this term with him having scored seven goals and tallied five assists.

Inter were on the brink of signing SPAL defender Mohamed Fares last Summer but injury led to the move collapsing according to a report from transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.

Inter and SPAL had a €12 million plus bonuses deal agreed for the Algerian national team full back but as a result of the player getting injured the deal did not take place.

Pedulla goes on to report that Fares is destined to depart the Ferrara based club this Summer with both Fiorentina and Torino interested in signing him.

This season Fares has made just three appearances due to a cruciate ligament injury. In 152 minutes on the field, he has been unable to make any goal contributions.

The 24-year-old is not on Inter’s radar anymore according to reports in the media which have instead linked Inter with the likes of Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo and Paris Saint Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa

Inter cannot sell Radja Nainggolan for anything less than €19.5 million this Summer to avoid making a capital loss on him according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The former Belgian national team player was deemed to be out of Inter’s project this past Summer by Inter management and was subsequently loaned out to Cagliari, just a year after joining the club from fellow Serie A side Roma.

The 31-year-old’s €4.5 million annual salary makes a permanent move to Cagliari unlikely and he could therefore return to Inter this Summer and be moved on elsewhere.

The report from the Turin based newspaper does state that he could get another loan move to Cagliari but Inter would not be willing to pay any of his wages.

Whilst out on loan in Sardinia, the former Piacenza player has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided six assists.

The signing of Lautaro Martinez from Inter is a priority for Barcelona in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona want to sign a complete number nine and the 22-year-old Argentine national team player is their top target in this regard with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner the alternative to him.

Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli has stressed his commitment to Fiorentina amid continued links with moves elsewhere ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who has been a complete revelation this season, has drawn links to Inter and Juventus in recent weeks and clubs like Roma and AC Milan have also been linked with him among others.

Castrovilli however does not appear to be fazed by all the reported interest in his services and appears to be planning to stay with Fiorentina for a long time.

“It’s wonderful to have the esteem of president Commisso as well as directors Barone and Prade. They made me feel very close to them from the first day and this was also seen through the extension of my contract until 2024,” he explained in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

“It would be a dream for me to become a Fiorentina icon,” he continued.

The Italian national team midfielder then further reiterated his commitment to the club by admitting he would love to repeat the career that Fiorentina legend Giancarlo Antognoni, who is now a director at the club.

“I’d like to retrace his career, living in Florence. I’ve learned perfectly what he represents for this city. Having a direct relationship with him makes me want to grow more and more.”

Inter management have identified several full backs that they could go in for in the upcoming Summer transfer window as they look to strengthen that area of the team according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Antonio Candreva, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Ashley Young are all certain to stay and the report states that Inter will also sign one of Cristiano Biraghi and Victor Moses on a permanent basis.

For the left hand side, Inter manager Antonio Conte’s preference would be Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, a player he knows well having worked with him before.

The report goes on to state that moves for Barcelona’s Junior Firpo or Paris Saint Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa cannot be ruled out either.

As for the right hand side, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo and Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo are players Inter could possibly go in for but they will have to move quickly with some reports elsewhere in the media stating Cancelo and Semedo are set to be exchanged.

Inter could make Ionut Andrei Radu the back up goalkeeper to Samir Handanovic from next season according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

With transfer spending expected to be significantly decreased across the world this Summer due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, Inter could immediately save money by just keeping Radu around at the club rather than pursuing moves for the likes of Udinese’s Juan Musso, which would mean they would have money to spend elsewhere.

By keeping Radu at the club, the report goes on to add that Inter will also have one more homegrown player that they can add to their squad lists.

The Romanian national team shot-stopper spent the first half of the season out on loan at Genoa and was loaned out to Parma for the second half of the season, although he is yet to play for Parma.

This season Radu has made 19 appearances and kept two clean sheets.

Inter have identified Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla and Tottenham Hotspur’s Jan Vertonghen as two players who could reinforce the club’s back line ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
