Italian Media Claims That Romelu Lukaku’s Arrival At Inter Has Made Nerazzurri A “More Attractive Destination”

The arrival of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to Milan has helped to make Inter a more attractive destination, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 26-year-old Belgian striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has repaid the Milanese club for their investment both on and off the pitch. The player has been key for coach Antonio Conte this season, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

His arrival has also helped to make Inter a more exciting project to join, the report continues. The effect of his arrival can be seen with the transfer of Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in January and will likely help in the Nerazzurri’s attempts to sign Dries Mertens and Jan Vertonghen on free transfers in the summer.

Lukaku has formed a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez but the Argentine striker may leave for Barcelona in the summer.

Inter Owned Bayern Munich Winger Ivan Perisic Back In Training After 2 Month Ankle Injury

Inter owned forward Ivan Perisic attended a personalized training session yesterday, after recovering from an ankle injury, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the German newspaper Bild.

The report details how the 31-year-old Croatian forward, who is currently on loan with Bavarian side Bayern Munich, suffered a fractured ankle after a strong challenge against Alvaro Odriozola. The player initially returned a few days ago to the pitch to start training again, running and working with the ball.

Yesterday Perisic did a 450 minute high-intensity session on his own, the report continues, starting with warm-up laps around the pitch, before working on his headers with a resistance belt, short sprints, running up steps and shooting.

He was assisted by Bayern Munich coach Holger Broich. Perisic is hoping to be fully fit in time for the restart of the Bundesliga, able to be deployed by coach Hansi Flick for the remaining games of the season.

Napoli Join Inter In Race To Sign Everton Striker Moise Kean

Napoli are interested in signing Inter linked Moise Kean, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 20-year-old Italian forward joined Premier League side Everton last summer from Juventus, in a deal worth around €30 million. He has been considered a transfer flop by many in England, after failing to make an impact in English football. He has made 26 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 864 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided two assists.

Inter have been linked with the player, but the Nerazzurri may now face competition from Napoli for the former Juventus forward, the report continues. The 20-year-old Italian player has recently been criticised for hosting a party in his apartment yesterday, despite the rules of the lockdown in England forbidding social events and requiring individuals to stay at home.

Banfield President Lucìa Barbutoc: “Agustín Urzi’s Has €30 Million Release Clause, No Offer From Inter”

Banfield president Lucìa Barbutoc discussed Inter, Italy and Nerazzurri target Agustín José Urzi, in an interview with Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

First, she spoke about former Inter striker Hernan Crespo, who was recently the coach of Banfield.

“Hernan took his first steps in our club. He is a coach with a great future, with great experience as a player in many European clubs and the Argentine national team. He’s promoted a lot of young players in our club. Unfortunately, some of his results weren’t what we expected, but he has left a lot to be desired in the training of the athletes. He left a great memory.”

Barbutoc touched on Inter target Agustin Urzi.

“He is one of the players trained in the club’s youth academy. He has established himself in the top league and has demonstrated his skills. In addition, he was champion of the Preolimpico Sub 23 with Argentina with Claudio Bravo and Facundo Cambeseses, other players from Banfield. He undoubtedly has a huge future ahead of him.”

She discussed the main characteristics of the player.

“He is a fast player, unbalanced, with a quick acceleration. He has great technique and speed. He is bold and courageous. He can play as a left midfielder or as in the middle. He is a wrestler, he has very good distance coverage and he can easily score goals.”

The Banfield president confirmed that no clubs have submitted a concrete offer yet for Urzi.

“There have been several polls and discussions, but so far we haven’t received any formal offers. When the interest is concrete, we will analyse it and evaluate what will be better for the future of the player and the club.”

She suggested that the player would be successful wherever he goes.

“Agustín is a player with an important potential. I can’t say how far he will go, but I’m convinced that he has all the characteristics to triumph. He’s succeeding with Banfield, he’s already had success with Argentina. And I have no doubt that he will succeed in the future, arriving where his talent and career will take him.”

Barbutoc didn’t reveal whether she has been in contact with Inter in regard to the player.

“As I was saying, we have received several polls from many clubs in Europe, but with the current world situation due to the coronavirus pandemic, we don’t really know what the next global football market will be like.”

The Banfield president confirmed that he has a €30 million release clause, not €20 million, which has been thrown around by the media in recent weeks.

“No, the clause is €30 million. But in order not to delay the player’s career, and taking into account the effects of the pandemic, Banfield is willing to negotiate for a smaller amount if necessary. But, of course, we will have to analyse the economic and sporting offer properly.”

She spoke about Inter vice president Javier Zanetti, who started his career with Banfield.

“Yes, I have a very good relationship with him. We’re always in touch. Do you know that a few days ago he had a videoconference chat with the reserve players about his experience in the world of football. He’s an example as a sportsman and will always be connected with our club.”

She discussed how she is the first woman in Argentina to be a president of a football club.

“Yes, I’m very happy because we work as a team, from the very beginning I felt comfortable in the new role. I was already working in the club with different responsibilities before. It’s important to say that there’s a lot of us. And we hope to add more and more in Argentinian football.”

Finally, Barbutoc reiterated that Banfield are open to receiving offers and negotiating for Urzi.

“To date we haven’t received any concrete offers from any club. We’re waiting to receive them and then we’ll analyze it with the members of the board.”

Juventus In Pole Position To Sign Inter Target & Federico Chiesa From Fiorentina

Juventus are ahead in the race to sign Fiorentina talisman and Inter target Federico Chiesa, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how club president Rocco Commisso confirmed that he wouldn’t block any times from signing Chiesa, despite the fact that Juventus are the Viola’s top rivals. When Fiorentina star Roberto Baggio joined Juventus in the summer of 1990, there were riots on the streets of Florence, but still Commisso isn’t against Chiesa following the same path.

Fiorentina want at least €70 million in cash, the report continues, a figure that even Juventus can’t reach for now. The Viola are also willing to give Chiesa a new contract, worth around €4 million net per season. Inter, on the other hand, are behind the Old Lady in the race for the 22-year-old’s signature now, which may force them to look elsewhere. The player has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 26 appearances this season.

Roma Pondering Moves For Inter Targets Tottenham’s Vertonghen & Barcelona’s Junior Firpo

Roma are interested in signing two Inter targets, Junior Firpo and Jan Vertonghen, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Giallorossi are keen to sign the 23-year-old Firpo, who is contracted to Barcelona until 2024. The player would cost around €25 million and the Roman club would look to help fund the deal by selling 27-year-old Italian midfielder Leonardo Spinazzola. Inter are also interested in Firpo and he could be included in a possible deal for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

Roma would also look to sign Vertonghen on a free transfer in the summer, the report continues, especially important given how complicated it is to make Chris Smalling’s move to Rome permanent. The Belgian defender’s contract expires with Tottenham at the end of the season. The Giallorossi are also interested in Inter wing back Cristiano Biraghi, who is owned by Fiorentina.

Future Of Inter Owned Fiorentina Wingback Dalbert Very Uncertain

The future of Inter owned left back Dalbert is uncertain, as Fiorentina may not look to make the player’s move to Florence permanent, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 26-year-old Brazilian thinks that he has done enough to earn a permanent move to the Florence based club due to his performances this season and relationships with the squad and coach. Dalbert has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2229 minutes. In that time, he has provided seven assists.

Fiorentina are still unsure whether they want to sign Dalbert permanently, the report continues. In January they signed 22-year-old Brazilian full back Igor, who can play both as both a center back and left back, a player they may look to focus on at the expense of the Inter owned player. His price would be around €15-20 million.
