Inter & AC Milan To Meet With Milan City Council Next Week For More New Stadium Talks

Inter and AC Milan officials are set to have a meeting with the Milan city council next week to hold further talks over the new stadium project according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

At the end of last year the club’s presented grand plans from CMR Sportium and Populous, the two companies vying to build the new state-of-the-art stadium which will replace the historic San Siro, which has been around for close to 100 years now, in the coming years.

As part of the plans the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri shared their desire to build a number of extras as well as the stadium to give life to the surrounding area such as hotels, restaurants and shops.

However, the Milan city council have always believed that the amount of extras the two clubs wish to build as part of the €1.2 billion stadium project is to much and this issue will be one of the main topics on the agenda when they meet.

In an Instagram Live chat with Colombian news outlet ‘Golombianos’ Watford owned striker Luis Suarez has revealed that he would love to play for Inter one day in the future.

Inter Received Only €200,000 From FC Zurich For Highly Rated Youngster Willy Gnonto

Inter received just €200,000 from FC Zurich for the transfer of Degnand Wilfried Gnonto according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Gnonto, who was highly regarded as one of the best prospects in Inter’s academy, completed a move to the Swiss Super League side yesterday with him putting pen to paper on a three year contract.

FC Zurich did not have to pay a transfer fee for him and they simply only had to pay a solidarity youth development payment to Inter, which world football’s governing body FIFA determined to be €200,000.

FC Zurich were able to get away without paying a transfer fee due to the fact that the 16-year-old was only on a youth contract with Inter and the report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to claim that the club offered Gnonto’s parents jobs too as part of his transfer.

The Italian under 17 national team player made 26 appearances across all competitions to date this term at youth level for Inter prior to his move, in which he scored six goals and provided four assists.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Could Change Formation To Get Best Out Of Christian Eriksen

Inter manager Antonio Conte could change from his tried and tested 3-5-2 system in a bid to get the best out of January transfer window recruit Christian Eriksen according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Dane has not exactly lived up to expectations since his arrival at the club in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and has only really shown a flew flashes of what he is capable of.

Eriksen has most definitely not been helped by the fact he has been played out of his natural attacking midfield position but Conte could well change to a 3-4-1-2 system which would then allow him to play in his natural position.

Conte may also opt to change to a 3-4-2-1 system and have Eriksen play alongside Lautaro Martinez in behind top scorer Romelu Lukaku.

The report goes on to state that Inter’s Summer transfer window would be largely determined by the new system if Conte does indeed change it.

Inter Goalkeeper Radu’s Agent: “He Has A Great Career In Front Of Him, Inter Should Sell Icardi Rather Than Lautaro Martinez”

Inter goalkeeper Ionut Andrei Radu’s agent Oscar Damiani is unsure what the immediate future holds for his client but is convinced that he will go on to have a great career.

The Romanian national team shot-stopper is currently out on loan with Parma until the end of the season and there has been no shortage of speculation about what could happen with him past the end of this campaign.

Many reports have suggested that he could be kept at Inter and utilised as number one goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic’s back-up.

Other reports have suggested that Inter could loan him out again or use him as part of a deal to land another goalkeeper such as Udinese’s Juan Musso. Torino have also been linked with making a move for him.

“We will see what his future will be but he has a great career in front of him,” Damiani remarked in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva earlier on today.

Damiani also voiced his opinion on who he thinks Inter should sell between Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez.

“Icardi will hardly be able to return to Inter, there are very few teams around who can sign him and in the end the best solution for everyone is for him to stay at PSG.

“As for Lautaro Martinez, Inter must resist Barcelona. It is better for them to sell Icardi than it is Lautaro. I am convinced that if he is given a contract extension with a salary rise he will remain at Inter.”

Inter To Move Ahead With Plans To Sign Olivier Giroud Despite Chelsea Extending His Contract

Inter will still try and sign Olivier Giroud despite the fact he has signed a contract extension with Chelsea according to a report from the online edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Premier League club took up an option within the 2018 World Cup winning striker’s contract which allowed them to extend his deal by a further season thus meaning Inter cannot sign him on a free transfer in the coming months as they had originally planned to.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that as a result of Giroud’s contract extension, Napoli’s Dries Mertens has become Inter’s number one target when it comes to free agent signings.

The 32-year-old Belgian national team forward’s current deal with the Stadio San Paolo club is due to expire at the end of the season and various reports in the media as of late have claimed that contract extension talks have stalled.

Inter, Arsenal & Bayern Munich Interested In €30M Rated Athletic Club Defender Unai Nunez

Inter are one of three clubs ready to battle it out for Athletic Club defender Unai Nunez according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet AS.

The 23-year-old centre back has a €30 million release clause in his contract with the club and Athletic Club are aware of interest from elsewhere in Nunez and wish to tie him down to a new and improved contract.

Inter aside, the report claims that both Bayern Munich and Arsenal are keen on signing him.

Nunez is far from against the idea of remaining with Athletic Club, who he has a contract with until the end of the 2022/23 season, but the report does state that at the same time he is also ready for a new challenge.

This season Nunez has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date. In 1437 minutes on the field he has been unable to make any goal contributions but has helped Athletic Club keep six clean sheets.
