Ex-Inter Striker Hernan Crespo: “Lautaro Martinez Has To Go Slowly, I Wish He Would Settle At A Club”

Former Inter and Argentine striker Hernan Crespo has offered current Inter striker and compatriot Lautaro Martinez some advice amid continued speculation regarding his future.

In the past few weeks and months Lautaro has reportedly drawn interest in his services from a whole array of clubs, especially reigning Spanish champions Barcelona.

Barcelona are said to see the 22-year-old as one of their top transfer targets ahead of the top transfer window and the highly rated forward has also drawn links to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City as well as Real Madrid.

Lautaro is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and has a €111 million release clause in his current contract, a clause which is only valid for the first two weeks every July and only for clubs outside of Italy.

“He has to go slowly. This is his first year as a starter at Inter. I wish he was the top scorer in Italian football and wish that he stops undergoing so many changes and would settle at a club,” Crespo, who spent four years with Inter during his playing career, told Argentine radio station 947 FM Radio.

Inter Linked Messi’s Cousin: “No-One Knows His Future, I Don’t See Him In Italy”

Lionel Messi’s cousin Maxi Biancucchi has shared his desire to see his cousin playing for another team but does not think that he will move to Italy.

In the past few weeks reports have suggested that Messi could leave Barcelona after his relations with the club’s management deteriorated as a result of discussions relating to squad-wide salary reductions due to the Coroanvirus crisis.

Inter are a club to have been strongly linked with signing the multi-time world player of the year as have Superliga Argentina side Newell’s Old Boys, the club whose academy Barcelona signed him from some 20 years ago now.

“The truth is that this is something very personal, no-one else knows,” Biancucchi remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet FootballNews24.it.

“Personally, I would love to see him play for another team, as many of his fans would like, to prove to those who claim that Messi is only good for Barcelona that they are wrong. The truth is that genes like his can play well anywhere.

“Honestly, I don’t see him in Italy. Any opinion of mine will arouse suspicion but, like I said before, the decision is his alone.

“My dream, if I have to be honest, is to see him wearing the Newell’s Old Boys shirt.”

Messi has spent his entire senior career with the Blaugrana club and has just over a year left to run on his contract with the club.

This season he has made 31 appearances, in which he has scored 24 goals and provided 16 assists.

Barcelona Star Antoine Griezmann Won’t Join Inter As His Wages Are Too Big

Antoine Griezmann will not end up at Inter in a deal for Lautaro Martinez or in a separate deal according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Reports in the media have suggested that Griezmann could be offered as part of a deal and one report has even stated that Inter have demanded him as part of a deal for Lautaro but this report claims that Inter will not pursue a move for him as he simply costs too much.

Griezmann currently earns around €20 million a season between his base salary and bonuses, a sum well out of Inter’s reach at the time being.

The report goes on to state that the only way Lautaro Martinez will be allowed to leave the club is if an interested club is to trigger the €111 million release clause in his current contract.

In the event a club does trigger the release clause, Inter will not be found unprepared and have already set their sights on bringing in Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to replace him.

Inter would be willing to spend between €40-45 million for the Gabonese international and would give him a three year deal with an option to a further year.

Inter CEO Marotta Already Knows How He’ll Spend Transfer Fee If Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez Is Sold

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has come up with a plan on how he will spend the money if a club is to trigger Lautaro Martinez’s release clause in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Libero.

The 22-year-old Argentine has a €111 million release clause in his current deal with the club, a clause only valid to clubs outside of Italy for the first two weeks of July.

Barcelona and Manchester City in particular have been linked with making moves for him and the report states that if any club triggers the release clause, Marotta will put the money towards two players.

The first player Marotta will bring in is Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who will be Lautaro’s replacement in the attack.

The report suggests that there will be around €50 million left after Aubameyang is signed and Marotta will then pursue a move for either Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic or Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa.

Inter Defender Ranocchia: “We Don’t Know How & When We’ll Resume Playing”

Inter centre back Andrea Ranocchia has confirmed that he, like everyone else, is awaiting direction from the Italian government and doctors during these unprecedented times.

Italy finds itself in complete lock down and this has been the case for around a month due the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.

Football at all levels has been on hold for about the same amount of time and it remains a complete mystery as to whether it will return or not although there are reports suggesting teams may start training at the beginning of next month and start playing again by the end of it.

“We do not know how and when we will resume, we await the directives of the government and doctors to understand what we will have to do. We train from home and try to be ready for when we can start playing again. Now the important thing is to hold on,” the experienced Italian defender explained in an Instagram live chat with his followers earlier on this evening.

The 32-year-old, who is the longest serving player of Inter’s current crop of players having joined back in January 2011, has made six appearances across all competitions to date this season, in which he has scored a single goal.

Inter Midfielder Stefano Sensi: “Prefer Having Barcelona’s Lionel Messi As A Teammate Than As An Opponent”

Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi has spoken on how he is dealing with being stuck in lockdown like everything else in Italy among many other topics in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia earlier on this evening.

“It’s not easy because I miss being on the field and my teammates. I am facing this moment with my girlfriend, watching TV series and playing cards. We hope everything will pass quickly,” he began the interview.

He then went on to discuss the work he is putting in at home, work he says that will help him in the long run.

“I am doing specific things for the problems I had. With the staff I am strengthening my body and this will help me over time.”

Next he spoke on how the team are staying in touch with one another through messaging applications.

“Being away from the lock room is not easy and we are not seeing each other in the flesh but we are all in touch with each other in the WhatsApp group.”

He was then asked if he expected to do so well at the beginning upon his arrival at Inter on a season long loan with option to buy from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo.

“I certainly wasn’t expecting it, I made a great start to the season, I owe a lot to the club, to my teammates and to the fans who made me feel at home immediately. I always gave my best, then I had problems that forced me to stay out.”

Sensi proceeded to speak on what working under Inter manager Antonio Conte has done for his game.

“Conte has given me an intensity that I didn’t have before. He helped me to get on board with his mentality and now I have a different way of playing as a mezzala.”

Next he spoke on how it felt to face Lionel Messi in the Champions League and the recent rumours which have linked him with a move to Inter.

“It was a great feeling to face him, it is for anyone because he is one of the best of all time. Messi at Inter? It would be better to have him as a teammate than face him [laughs].”

In conclusion he spoke on what he thinks it will feel like when football eventually resumes.

“It will be more beautiful to resume after this difficult period, it will mean that we have won this fight. We will have to live with more passion and desire, but at the moment the main thing is to stay at home.”
