Atletico Madrid & Sevilla Join Inter In Race To Sign Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin

Inter face competition from Atletico Madrid and Sevilla for Arsenal full back Hector Bellerin according to a report from British news outlet The Sun.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with the 25-year-old Spaniard in the past week as they continue to seek out players who are capable of bolstering the club’s full back department which appears set to undergo a lot of change in the next window with reports suggesting many of the current crop will depart and only a few will remain.

Bellerin recently admitted he would like to become Arsenal’s captain in the long term but it is also understood that he would like to return to his homeland, where he has not played for almost nine years years since leaving Barcelona to join Arsenal.

Bellerin’s season has largely been disrupted by injury this term but he has still managed to put together 16 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.

Fenerbahce Interested In Signing Inter Defender Kwadwo Asamoah

Fenerbahce are keen on signing Inter defender Kwadwo Asamoah in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Football Ghana.

The Turkish Super Lig outfit are understood to deem Asamoah as the ideal player to bolster their full back department and first showed an interest in signing him back in February.

Fenerbahce are however not alone in keeping tabs on Asamoah with the report stating that German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim have also taken an interest but Fenerbahce are ready to do all they can to beat Hoffenheim to him.

Asamoah has little over a year left on his current contract with Inter and multiple reports in Italy have suggested his future could well lie elsewhere given Inter are targeting several full backs ahead of the next transfer window.

The experienced Ghanaian has really struggled for playing time this term due to a knee problem with him having made just 11 appearances across all competitions, in which he has provided a single assist.

Barcelona Table Contract Offer Worth €10M Per Season To Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona have offered Inter striker Lautaro Martinez a contract offer worth an annual €10 million to them according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The reigning Spanish champions have tabled the offer to the highly rated 22-year-old striker in a bid to try and entice him into joining them in the coming months.

Barcelona have seemingly identified Lautaro has one of their top transfer targets, if not their top one and Lionel Messi could also play a significant role.

As per the report, Messi could be asked to speak with his compatriot to try and further entice him to join the Nou Camp club.

Lautaro is currently under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and has a €111 million release clause in his contract, something Barcelona reportedly do not wish to pay as they would prefer to do a player(s) plus cash deal for him.

This season he has made 31 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Inter Owners Try To Work Out Whether It’s Possible To Sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi Or Not

Inter’s owners are considering whether it is at all possible to be able to sign Lionel Messi from Barcelona according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with the multi-time world player of the year a lot in the past few days although he has come out and denied the rumours on social media.

The report goes on to state that with thanks to club sponsors, Inter could perhaps afford the Argentine national team player and give him an annual salary of €30 million.

Sport Mediaset go on to suggest that if there was not even the slightest of chances of a move happening, it is unlikely that former Inter president Massimo Moratti would have suggested signing him was no longer an impossible dream.

This season the 32-year-old superstar has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored 24 goals and provided 16 assists.

Inter & Juventus Interested In Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele

Inter and Juventus have both manifested an interest in Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele ahead of the Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Dembele was brought in to replace Neymar at Barcelona a few seasons ago but Barcelona could well look to use him to bring Neymar back to the club or even as part of a deal for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

The Frenchman is under contract with the reigning Spanish champions until the end of the 2021/22 season and has an annual salary of €9 million net, the report highlights.

The 22-year-old, whose season was cut short early on due to a serious injury, is the latest in a long line of players that Inter and Juventus are seemingly set to battle it out for in the coming months.

Federico Chiesa, Gaetano Castrovilli, Sandro Tonali are just three of a number of names which reports have suggested both clubs are keen on signing.

Napoli Want To Sign Mertens To New Deal Whilst Inter, Chelsea & Atletico Madrid Remain Interested In Him

Napoli continue to want to sign Dries Mertens to a contract extension according to a report in today’s print edition of Il Mattino.

A few weeks ago, Mertens looked absolutely set to agree to a new deal with the Stadio San Paolo club but the Coronavirus outbreak threw everything up in the air.

Mertens met with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis on March 1 and during this meeting there were concrete foundations laid for a new deal to be reached but there has been nothing since then.

Due to the fact his contract is due to expire in a matter of weeks, several clubs have sparked an interest in signing him including Inter, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.

The report warns that until he signs a contract extension with Napoli, if he does, the race to sign him remains very much open.

This season the 32-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored 12 goals and provided six assists.

Inter & Juventus May Think Twice About Moving For Chiesa Due To Financial Damage Caused By Coronavirus

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the damage it has caused football could mean Fiorentina are able to keep a hold of Federico Chiesa according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere Fiorentino.

The highly rated young Italian winger has been strongly linked with both Inter and Juventus for a considerable time but as per the report, the two clubs could think twice about going in for him due to the financial damage that Coronavirus has caused.

Chiesa will cost any interested party at least €50 million as per the report and this could put clubs off given the amount of money that has been lost due to the current situation.

Should the clubs still try and pursue a move for him, Fiorentina will not stand in his way if he expresses a desire to leave due to a gentleman’s agreement they have with his father and agent Enrico Chiesa.

The report from the Florence based newspaper goes on to state that the chances of Gaetano Castrovilli, another Inter and Juventus target, leaving Fiorentina are pretty much zero and he will therefore stay put until at least next January.

Albertini: “I Didn’t Think Sensi Would Do So Well In His First Year At Inter”

Legendary Italian national team midfielder Demetrio Albertini has admitted to being surprised by how Stefano Sensi has fared in his first season with Inter.

Sensi joined Inter on a season long loan from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo this past Summer and as part of the deal Inter have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €25 million.

Recent reports state that Inter do in fact have a gentleman’s agreement in place with Sassuolo that means they will take up the option to sign the highly rated 24-year-old.

Sensi got life in Nerazzurri off to a flyer with him playing a considerable role in the first few weeks of the season but he has found himself on the sidelines for large spells of the season due to various injuries.

“Sensi surprised me. I didn’t think he could do so well in the first year of Inter. There are many good midfielders, even young ones, out there at the moment,” Albertini explained in an interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport which appeared in today’s print edition.

Lega Serie A & FIGC Met For Talks On Player Wage Cuts & National Licences Yesterday

The Lega Serie A met with the Italian football federation (FIGC) yesterday to hold further talks over the issue of cutting players wages according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Last week the Lega Serie A reached an agreement with all Serie A clubs – with the exception of Juventus who reached a separate agreement with their players – over guidelines for wage cuts depending on what happens with the season.

If the season does indeed resume, wages can be cut by up to a third and if it does not resume they can be cut by up to a sixth.

The clubs and players are in agreement but things need ironed out from a legal point of view with the Italian players association (AIC) having strongly opposed this choice.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that Lega Serie A and FIGC discussed the issue of national licences for next season.

A first draft agreement has been drawn up and it is understood that clubs are looking for the various deadlines to be postponed given the current circumstances, which have had a huge affect on clubs’ balance sheets.
