Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that there are currently no ongoing negotiations between Barcelona and Inter over multi-time world player of the year Lionel Messi.

In the past few days there has been a lot of speculation that Messi could leave the reigning Spanish champions for Inter after his relations with the Barcelona management have seemingly broken down.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and a recent report has even suggested that Inter’s sponsors could help them to afford him.

“There are no negotiations in progress between the parties. It is not the time for such a deal,” he remarked whilst in the Sky Sport Italia studios this afternoon.

Di Marzio also commented on the futures of Inter’s Lautaro Martinez and Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar, both of whom have been strongly linked with Barcelona.

“The Blaugrana will not sign both of them. It remains to be seen if Griezmann would accept a transfer to PSG and if Inter will accept the players offered by Bartomeu.”

He also spoke on Fiorentina duo Gaetano Castrovilli and Federico Chiesa, with both players seemingly on the radar of both Inter and Juventus among several other clubs ahead of the Summer transfer window.

“Commisso said that the best players will not be sold and he is someone who always respects what he says. We will see what offers will arrive, but it is unlikely that the viola will make two sacrifices. At most one of them will go away.”

Inter’s Sponsors Could Help To Pay Barcelona Star Lionel Messi’s Wages

Inter’s many sponsors could help them to afford Barcelona’s Lionel Messi according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

Messi currently earns a gross annual wage of €60 million from the Blaugrana club but due to the new tax laws in Italy when it comes to foreigners coming to work in the country, Inter would only be taxed for €45 million of that if he takes the same wages he is on at Barcelona.

The report claims that club sponsors could help the club to afford the wages, similarly to what club sponsors did back in 1997 when the club signed Il Fenomeno Ronaldo from Barcelona.

Messi has spent his entire career with Barcelona but it has been widely reported that relations have soured between the multi-time world player of the year and the club management which has led to plenty speculation that he could leave soon.

This season the 32-year-old has made 31 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 24 goals and tallied 16 assists.

Inter Linked Castrovilli: “I Feel Very Close To Fiorentina, It’s Not Easy To Have Such A Natural & Immediate Connection”

Gaetano Castrovilli has appeared to affirm his long term commitment to Fiorentina with him revealing something he dreams of doing with the club.

The Italian national team midfielder has drawn no shortage of links to other clubs in recent weeks and months with it understood that Inter, Juventus and Roma among many other clubs have taken notice of his performances during his breakthrough season in Serie A this term.

“It would be a dream come true for me to play with the number 10 shirt. It’s a magic shirt in general and in Florence it’s even more special, considering the greats who wore it, starting with Antognoni who still is, and rightly so, an institution here today,” he admitted in an interview with Corriere della Sera, which appeared in today’s print edition.

He then went on to reveal that he has a real connection with the city of Florence and how he is treated by Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso.

“The city is wonderful and has welcomed me. I feel very close to Fiorentina, to the people who support me and to the president Commisso, who is always ready to praise me. It’s not easy to have such a natural and immediate connection.”

Next Castrovilli appeared to further affirm his commitment by looking toward the future with Fiorentina.

“This year we have struggled with consistency. We are a new and young group. I think the problems were psychological but the future will be on our side.

“We have laid a solid foundation and we can bother the big clubs. Dragowski is a great goalkeeper, Lirola and Milenkovic are now certainties at the back and I don’t have to tell you about Chiesa. He is a fantastic player, who will be part of the national team for years.”

This season the 23-year-old, who is under contract with La Viola until the end of the 2023/24 season, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored three goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
